I completely agree there, one of my biggest Lego-related regrets is not continuing to collect all of the 3 in 1 creator townhouse sets, I collected the first three (bike store and cafe, grocer and deli) and the toy store, but not the townhouse or pet shop. For me these were a great balance between functionality and displayability and got the best of both worlds. The fact that some could be enclosed was great to. I agree that especially for licensed themes, the open back works, especially the HP sets, and also when it is normally very easy to modify it to be enclosed.

Great build, an interesting engine, especially through its role (due to its unsuitability as an intended high altitude engine) in giving rise to the aforementioned low altitude strike aircraft. A Rolls Royce/Packers Merlin engine of the Spitfires, Mustangs and Lancaster’s would be great to see, especially if your going to do the Meteor tank engine version.

[REVIEW] 42126 - Ford F-150 Raptor
Stuartn replied to Jim's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thank you @Jim for the great review as always, impeccable photography, I really do like the aesthetics of this set, the suspension and new pieces are nice. Unfortunately I am not going to pay AU$249.99 for a set which is less than $100 in the US, with GST factored in that's still over $100 past the conversion rate! Especially when there so many other great technic sets this year, some of which other retailers are selling at much lower prices. -
Infuriating Details

I actually have that remote, but unfortunately it only has controls for an A and B port which isn’t very worthwhile with larger technic sets, similar to how there was the speed controller and the regular remote for PF, while the speed control is great for driving for steering it isn’t as great nor is it for other functions -

Powered Up’s remote Sorry, my mistake -
Very nicely done, I especially like the Arch, the attention to detail overall is very impressive on all of the builds

Great work, I especially like the marauder but the other models are both nicely done as well, the greebling on the juggernaut is particularly effective

I would try individually if you can, there is a marketplace section on this forum you can access at 10 posts which you could ask advice from more experienced sellers. I would have a look on Bricklink to see what prices the sets are going for, I am not experiencing in selling LEGO, but using Bricklink as a guide, based on quality you described, around: AU$400 for the slave 1 AU$200 for the snowspeeder AU$300 for the TIE AU$275 for the Y Wing AU$125 for the Saturn V Hope this helps https://www.bricklink.com/catalogTree.asp?itemType=S For UK prices probably about 60% of the prices listed above, the link should take you to the UK site with equivalent prices

LEGO Star Wars 2021 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

Also, the separatist designs are made to emulate the OT rebel capital ships, the MC75 from RO was designed to bridge the rebel ships in ROTJ and the separatist's ships in ROTS Back on topic, when do the 2022 set leaks normally appear, I recall discussion that they seem to be quite late this year but was wondering if this was true? -
What counts as purist for a custom minifigure?
Stuartn replied to AD_Bricks's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Purist for me is the use of no custom parts and no modifications of TLG parts aside from altering stickers or cutting flex tubes (something I don’t do though). While I am a purist myself I don’t mind custom figures or accessories, in fact I admire many of them. I don’t think there is anything wrong with minifigure customisation at all, especially when there is little alteration to TLG parts. It would be great to see some of your custom designs, -
Very nicely done, I really like the engine nacelles and the steering vanes at the back. The hull is superbly detailed and the interior of the cockpit is very nice, as is the exterior. Great work.

Wishlist: Future Star Wars Sets and Minifigures
Stuartn replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I agree it alone would be a very underwhelming set, but what about the Lars Homestead, Obi-Wans hut, the Dowager Queen Wreck, with a landspeeder and a generic Tatooine building, plus a bantha and escape pod to expand the Cantina, which was very popular and would certainly incentivise purchase of a second set -
You wont regret it, its a great set

Brilliant work, your ANH version was fantastic and I have greatly enjoyed following the progress of the ESB photos. I look forward to ROTJ, great job. You should publish a book with all these scenes!

Does anyone think that the figure SW1147, Yoda with backpack, torso could work well for a rebel trooper, the phoenix symbol looks very useful, I was wondering whether there are any details on the torso that might make it less useful I’m not aware of.

Brilliant work, there are so many great details overall, the door, the diagonal stripe pattern, the wooden floors and the masonry details, impressive build.

LEGO Star Wars 2021 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

In a way I did like being able to get more alien moulds which we would only get with specific characters, while it is unlikely I would like to revert to the 2012-2014 arrangement where there were the two regular BPs ( which could be changed to single faction) and two sets which were slightly larger with four figures (some massable) and a small BP like build, or the four battle packs at a time which continued a little later -
Brilliant work, I haven't ever encountered this ship in Lego form before and your version is incredibly impressive, you've captured all of the great details which separate it from the other TIEs, like the underside guns and the very nicely accomplished second hull, as well as the roof details and thinner connecting points than the TIE shuttle. I think the amount of detail in the second hull is a good balance between detail and maintaining the curvature. Great job!

Its been about $100+ off in a lot of places here, I think the extreme price was just too much, for not a very attractive set (as opposed to the last four, $30-$100 cheaper town plan sets, and the much cheaper Donut Shop and Ski Resort), I hope it makes Lego realise they need to reduce prices

I agree, they did a great job of this with the RO sets, which had named rebels and imperials in sets followed by troopers in BPs, I think a mandalorian version would work brilliantly. I wish that they would go back to the days of two figures from each side like they did in 2012, with the Endor and Elite troopers packs -
Brilliant, the ice skate is especially well done and a great example of NPU, the spacioussness of the ambulance, considering it is a small build overall is very well achieved, as is the detail on the interior and exterior.

I like the current orientation of the plates as the studs seem to represent rivets which really contributes to the heavy-duty feel

I agree, I bought it only for the figures but the vehicle is very impressive for a small set. I have recoloured mine to be a LBG colour. Your modification is very nicely done and I will try and replicate your side door designs
