Latest news about Lego animal moulds
RichardGoring replied to Roebuck's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Yes. The falcon feet/base are different, as is the wing shape. The head/beak look different too, but it could be the page being creased. If you turn your head and squint, you might also get it confuse with a pigeon if you really want to! The koala is lovely!- 5,945 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 24. Rumors and discussion
RichardGoring replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
They look fabulous. Probably all except the referee and space alien for me, and even then, a clever technique for the ray gun! How tricky are the Black Falcon archers going to be to get. And the orc for that matter. Army builder competition! The koala is lovely. And got to have that classic space baby! -

Really very neat. I love microscale builds and this is excellent. So much detail achieved, and the impression of detail too.

No, they'd also sue if it was golden too... Would love a reddish brown rabbit as a chocolate bunny though.- 5,945 replies

This is wonderful! How you made the trees bend? Is it just loosely connected studs, or something inside? Love the kraken!

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
RichardGoring replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
True, it could sell out by February, but I tend to wait for a decent GWP for all of these. To be honest, I've still got the last two modulars to build, so no massive rush for me. -

Eiffel's Apartment GWP is on Promobricks now too. Looks nice, but I won't be terribly sad to miss it. Pleased for those that buy the Eiffel Tower though. The tower also looks fabulous, but I don't think I could find room for such a large model!- 259 replies

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
RichardGoring replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Or if not, definitely the day after tomorrow. Or the day after the day after tomorrow. Or the day after the day... While it will be nice to see it, I won't order it until at least February to get the accompanying GWP anyway. The taxi and teal Ideas car have shown that it's almost always better to wait. -
Chinese New Year Sets - Rumors and Discussion
RichardGoring replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Agreed. They look nice, although not worth $80, but I'd get them on sale. I hope the money tree is reasonably priced as that's more appealing. Definitely like the parade. -
Got some nice torsos at the BAM tower in Glasgow, UK last week.

Just realized that the Fun & Funky pack comes with two glow in the dark minifigure heads, which I was very tempted to get for the street lights for the modulars. But they're $1.20 each from Bricks and Pieces, so I shan't, unless they throw in loads of extra packs next time I place an order.

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
RichardGoring replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
The two GWPs look fabulous. I prefer them so much more to the reindeer one from last year. Brick Clicker says that they both have a $170 spend threshold. Elves on 19-20 Nov and Santa's Workshop in December. There are not many things on my wishlist at the moment, so it may be a hard decision over which to try and go for, but at the moment I'm leaning towards Santa's Workshop as the elves is very similar to last year, and Santa's workshop will go well with the winter village and 40106, which I rather like. -

Nah. My friend's doctor's gardener's grocer's delivery guy says that your cousin's sister's mother's ex boyfriend's brother doesn't know what they're talking about. And last year they said something similar... -
2023 Friends Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion
RichardGoring replied to El Garfio's topic in LEGO Town
I particularly like Autumn's house for using plates for the pitched roof, rather than slopes a they normally do. To my eyes it looks better, gives you more space inside, provides more options to do things on the roof, and requires more elegant construction techniques. The aqua colour for the walls is great too. As is the orange foliage on the tree. The whole thing is just composed very well.- 634 replies
