2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
karrit replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
It's a brick built shield similar to the banners they had on the previous 3 in 1 castle. -

Looks to me like they are using the Handle no. 1 attached to a cheese slope. -

After looking more closely at the image again I think it may actually be cloth capes on both the King & the Snake Knight. -
I really hope that leaked picture for the Haunted House is the real thing! I'm pretty sure I have one or two of the old ghost from the 90's but really want some new ones. Also missed out on the Monster series during a dark age so the Werewolf & Frankenstein cMF's are missing from my collection. I do have the more recent Wolf & Vidiyo Werewolf CMF's and the one from the Ideas Book.

2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
karrit replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I finally found the watermarked picture of the castle that shows way more than the first blurry leak. I'm not a fan of those molded capes but really happy to get a new King figure. I speculate that the Archer up on the left with the blue hood may be a female. I would really like to get a more classic style Queen and/or Princess with a printed dress mold. The only obvious Female Medieval figs we have gotten over the past few years are villagers. I don't mind the females disguised as knights at all but would really like some obvious female royalty to populate the various castles that have come out. And give me some Black & Gray molded horses please LEGO! -
I"m impressed with the book nook. It was a definite no when the concept was announced. But now it's a most likely when it goes on sale somewhere.

THe Brick Built horses look really interesting but I'd love to get some new molded Black Horses. -
LEGO Monkie Kid 2025 Rumours and Discussion
karrit replied to Agent Kallus's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I'd love to see some new in house themes that aren't so Mech intensive. Or so totally out there. I bought some Monkie Kid sets that interested me as well as some Dreamzzz Sets but the over emphasis on Mechs in both themes kept me from buying into the whole theme for either one. I just bought some of the individual sets that appealed to me. Mostly it was more that I was interested in acquiring some of the new parts that came out of those sets. The way out there premise is what also kept me from having any interest in Nexo Knights or Chima when they were a thing. Honestly I don't get how Ninjago keeps going so strong when people are clamoring for more Castle, Space, Western, Pirates that aren't otherworldly based but more like the Classic sets from years ago. I had a small Pirate Island at a show a few weeks back that had a lot of interest for such a small classic style build. -
LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
karrit replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Well the Gold & Light Blue were at the bottom of my list. THe Fushia was my first choice followed by the Bluish Green then the Lime. Gold is boring to me unless they go ahead & make Silver & Titanium also. At least I'll be getting the Bluish Green. -
Yes it's 22:00 for me in MDT/MST zone.

LEGO City 2025 SETS - Leaks, rumours, discussion. (Animals too)
karrit replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
That City Tower looks like something out of Monkie Kid or Ninjago to me. I prefer real city type buildings rather than these wonky futuristic mash-ups. The center part isn't too bad but that spaceship up top is cuckoo. The garage facades are just yuck. And what is the point of the construction crane to nowhere? -
I'm hoping they just stick with the shops for Hogsmeade. I don't see the need for them to include the Shrieking Shack when we just got the big one a couple of years ago. Same with the Train Station.

There are parts of some of these that I'm interested in getting but no single complete figure is wowing me. If I find them I'll be getting a few of the Cockatoo. Probably will also get the whole bunny with overalls. I don't get why of all the colors they chose Magenta for the Chili Pepper. That isn't a color I've ever seen a pepper come in in the real world, Green, Orange or Yellow would have made more sense. The Pirate tile is nice so I will likely try to get a few of that one. Pirate torso is interesting.

Yes, it's the same one as the CMF Brick Tap on Discord

I think there seems to be a lot less traffic on the forums these days. So many people are getting their info from social media now as opposed to forums like this. Over time trusted sources of info have changed a lot. It's hard to know who to trust as it changes so often. I think a lot of the people here are into LEGO for years past, present & most likely into the future. Many of the social media sources only got into LEGO during Covid and aren't as invested in the hobby as most true AFOL's. Honestly I believe many of them are just into it for the free merchandise rather than true love of LEGO. The majority of people that get their info from social media are less inclined to search out & participate in these old style forums.

An image of the next wave of BAM has finally surfaced. Looks like the Cockatoo will be in the mix.

I'm a bit surprised there haven't been any new Spring/Easter figures. Maybe they are saving them for second quarter release. And for those that want Reddish-orange legs for the Brick suit they are available online in the mid leg size.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

So the two capes from a November order that went missing in Denver back in February have apparently finally turned up in Atlanta, GA last week. They were turned over to USPS there on Saturday. They have arrived at the USPS in Denver this morning & are currently scheduled to be delivered to me tomorrow. LEGO has already replaced the until now missing original shipment. I wonder where all they've traveled over the 36 days they went missing. -
I fear my BDP buying days are over due to what appears to be price increases in response to tariffs. May have to make some massive purchases from my wishlist before they start jacking up our prices on already released sets. That ship is awesome but most likely will end up being out of my price range.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 27. Rumors and discussion
karrit replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Went to my LEGO store before my monthly LUG meeting yesterday. There was an almost full box sitting on the counter so I asked if it had been picked over already. They opened up a drawer & handed me one of the coveted Beastmasters. They pull them out of the big boxes so they can limit you to one per customer if you know to ask. Also scored DaVinci's flying machine for 10% off due to damaged box. -
LEGO City is a broad label for a variety of offerings. Personally I have little interest in Police or Fire Vehicles or buildings for those. Never really have. I'll sometimes grab the polybags but when you are talking $30-$200 sets I want to see something really interesting. Residential & business properties are virtually non-existent in current day city offerings. If you want any of those you need to buy Creator or Modular. The Speed Champions line doesn't interest me, nor does the F1. The Ski Slope set was interesting but too industrialized (citified) while the Friends one was way more realistic & interesting visually to me. I'm a sucker for the Space & Outdoors sets but they really shouldn't be subthemes of CITY. The food trucks are something different but how many does one need. The Harbor set is decent but the building is lacking. I know people keep saying they want a Hospital, School, Airport but does anyone really think they could do justice to any of those without them being $200+ sets? This line is aimed toward kids not us AFOL's so once a certain price point is hit the sets won't sell well so they don't even try.

2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
karrit replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Yeah, I already ordered some extra Bardings in case the horses are brick built. I already have a decent herd of Horses in my stash so no need to order more of the current colors. Just wish they'd give us a new color or two already. I have really old Black, Brown & White ones from Castle & Western sets as well as the current colors. Never got any of the patterned ones from the old Western sets. I'd really like some in either of the Gray shades. -
I like it. Don't know if it will be a day one purchase to get the Ticket Booth GWP though. It's looking like April is shaping up to be an expensive month.

Do we have a confirmed price for this set yet? It looks great in the picture. At least I have no interest in anymore CMF series this year so that money is freed up for other purchases.
