  1. I'm glad the seasonal BAM are in addition to the quarterly releases. The first quarter release of only Ninjago themed BAM was of zero interest to me. So at least with the 3 figs released in February and the upcoming 3 coming in March there will be figs I'm interested in getting. I'm not a fan of some of the quarterly releases being centered around a specific theme like they've been doing with Ninjago and Dreamzz the past couple of years.
  2. The monochrome geodes were only in those SMART Play test sets. I was shocked when they showed up on PAB and made sure to order some of them immediately along with the animals. I don't think the monochrome geodes ever got restocked. Took forever to be able to get all the Infinity Stones too. I remember the first round of the dual colored geodes a few years back the green crystal color was only in the minifig blister pack and the blue crystal color was only in a handful of regular sets. Ordered them all when they were available on PAB but the green crystal color retired almost immediately & the blue crystal one lasted maybe another year or two. The one with the pink inside is the only one they still have on PAB along with the new one they just added that's orange inside. When the Red Spaceman torsos were available I was trying to put together an order with some other parts that kept going in & out of stock. Had them in my cart for about a week when they went out of stock for good so I never got them. The latest retirements were a big problem for us in the US because of the whole tariff nonsense. We missed out on a lot of stuff because of that situation. I was travelling for a LEGO Convention and wasn't able to get an order in before everything got frozen. I really wanted some extra of what were then current spacesuit torsos from the recent sets but due to them being "standard" parts for us they were long gone due to retirement by the time we got unfrozen. Luckily I got some good deals on some of the retiring City Space sets so was able supplement my supply for the Space collab I'm involved with. I'm not too worried about the vending machine minifig parts yet, but considering there seemed to be an issue with them not wanting to even put them on PAB part of me thinks some might only get a restock or two before disappearing. I have a little bit of hope since they seem to plan to use them in some upcoming BDP sets.
  3. Yes, I do the same. I think I was only able to get a few of those Tax Collector parts that have been mentioned in another thread. I'm really peeved the new style flasks that were in the Potions Class for HP got retired so quickly. I was really hoping they'd make those in some other colors eventually. Took me forever to get both parts of the Orca and I never was able to get extra Elephants. At least with the minifigs one can always use plain legs if the specialized ones disappear to soon. But the Torsos are tough if they don't make enough and then don't restock.
  4. Plenty of the polys that come with books are specific to those books and don't get sold separately. Unfortunately it seems a lot if not all of these will be packaged with DK books which are always a bit expensive. So they won't be a cheap way to get the included animals. I think the lowest I've ever paid for any of these books is about $8 and maybe $10-12 if it was a DK book.
  5. I wasn't referring specifically to the castle figs in my original post. I just happened to list some of what I had ordered including parts of some of the other minifigs that were available when I placed my order. There were quite a few other parts in my order. I try to order a few of each part I'm interested in when they first get released because too much never ends up getting restocked once it runs out the first time. Geodes are rocks, not animals. If you blinked you missed out on those. And I only listed two animals along with the geodes & the spaceman torso.
  6. I like the idea of it. I fear the portraits will be stickers though.
  7. Tell that to the Black Squirrels, the red, purple, blue, green, & yellow geodes and the reddish brown retriever dog and the recent Red Spaceman torso.
  8. I don’t trust that some of the new parts might not be available for long. So I went ahead and ordered some of what I want that is available now. Will hope to be able to get some of the currently out of stock newness when/if it gets restocked. I ordered the legs for the kraken & griffin knights already as well as the spacemen legs, helmets & airtanks and the Pirate torsos.
  9. Yes, few years back they said they'd be standardizing the prices for different colors of the same part but obviously that hasn't happened. For example, Wig, No. 95 in Bright Red is $2.38 while the same part in Brick Yellow is only $0.82.
  10. Wrong colors for Mardi Gras. Should be Purple, Green & Yellow or Gold for Mardi Gras. I wish they had chosen different colors than a light blue & pink combo. Looks like Coral to me. I think they are red. Wish they would make them in reddish-orange already. Even the midi legs are out of stock in reddish-orange which I would have bought to match the Bricksuit.
  11. Was in my local Walmart earlier today. No sign of Series 28 but they still had lots of the F1 & Spiderman series.
  12. I'm not sure about this one yet. I like the looks of the buildings. I think the instrument shop & furniture shop should have been reversed. While the marching band idea is interesting, without a people pack or a similar type set it won't be easy to build up the band. I agree with others that they need to mold more instruments rather than relying on bulky brick built versions. Would have been nice to see some dark red on one of the buildings rather than all the white. Like maybe they should consider using a red toned roof instead of earth blue for a change and earth green instead of sand green all the time. And a bit of a garden or park in the back instead of all those blank studs would have been interesting. The cat statue is quirky but without a backstory it doesn't make any sense.
  13. I have zero interest in Ninjago BAM. Hopefully my main store will have some other interesting parts to choose from.
  14. So I guess this is the year of remakes for Creator. All I'm seeing is random parts packs, nothing that seems really interesting and need to buy for me. Hope the summer wave is better.
  15. Sorry, I'm not impressed with this wave at all. The only one I'll likely buy is the LEGO Delivery Truck. I hope the summer wave is more impressive. I'm also hoping the Rides sets get discounted quickly because I want those baby figs and PAB prices are a bit much for them so a better deal to grab them in sets that are on sale.
  16. Love that Mini Supermarket. I'll need to check if it's scheduled for a short shelf life because it might be useful to grab two of them. I'm sure the printed parts will be pricey on PAB. I'm thinking two of the Axolotl set might be a good idea too.
  17. I guess I'm in the minority but I really don't like any of these new sets. There are some parts I'll need to get off of PAB if/when they show up. Like those transparent creatures and the crystal things they are encased in.
  18. Those princess figure duos and the matching set with the castle build are just scary!
  19. I'm waiting for the next GWP to be available before I order any parts. Hope there are still some available.
  20. The tracking info shows it will be coming through Whittier, CA rather than New Jersey. I'll be keeping watch to see where else it moves through. In the past they always came to me through New Jersey. Looks like it has arrived in Denver, CO expected delivery by Tuesday according to DHL.
  21. I had this show up on my Informed Delivery notices "DHL ECOMMERCE NORDIC LAX". I'm hoping it is for the first standard part order I made on 11/17. In the past mine always came through the New Jersey facility so this is new. I don't recall having any other orders from anywhere else that this might be for.
  22. PAB Standard parts are now available in the US.
  23. Personally I like the minifigs in this years calendar much better than the Police, Fire & Construction Workers they were using for a few years. I generally liked last years calendar but wasn't happy about the ugly sweater torsos depicting fire & police symbols. I skipped the city one for a few years prior to last year because I thought the theming was lame. They are advent calendars after all so they definitely should be Christmas themed in my opinion rather than generic people & builds.
  24. Yup, retiring animals prices are mostly halved. Most of the retiring parts I couldn't get from bestsellers that I was hoping to get as standard are already sold out. The only thing I could have waited on are a few of the animals & all the castle shields. May grab a few more of some of the animals that aren't sold out yet. Out of luck on the space torsos & helmets.
  25. That's why I plan to place an order as soon as possible. I'm tempted to wait for Insider weekend but there are parts I need for a collab I'm working on and I don't want to be waiting months for them. Also there are some on the retirement list I'm hoping to be able to get before they sell out.
