Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
karrit replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
I had this show up on my Informed Delivery notices "DHL ECOMMERCE NORDIC LAX". I'm hoping it is for the first standard part order I made on 11/17. In the past mine always came through the New Jersey facility so this is new. I don't recall having any other orders from anywhere else that this might be for. -
LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
karrit replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
PAB Standard parts are now available in the US. -
Personally I like the minifigs in this years calendar much better than the Police, Fire & Construction Workers they were using for a few years. I generally liked last years calendar but wasn't happy about the ugly sweater torsos depicting fire & police symbols. I skipped the city one for a few years prior to last year because I thought the theming was lame. They are advent calendars after all so they definitely should be Christmas themed in my opinion rather than generic people & builds.

Yup, retiring animals prices are mostly halved. Most of the retiring parts I couldn't get from bestsellers that I was hoping to get as standard are already sold out. The only thing I could have waited on are a few of the animals & all the castle shields. May grab a few more of some of the animals that aren't sold out yet. Out of luck on the space torsos & helmets.

That's why I plan to place an order as soon as possible. I'm tempted to wait for Insider weekend but there are parts I need for a collab I'm working on and I don't want to be waiting months for them. Also there are some on the retirement list I'm hoping to be able to get before they sell out.

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces
karrit replied to LegoPercyJ's topic in LEGO Licensed
Glad they will finally be letting us order again. Too bad they will likely suspend ordering for the end of the year shortly after thus leaving orders in limbo for several months just like every other year. Probably will get hung up in customs too once they arrive in this country. -
I wish they had given us the retriever mold in more colors rather than just the two, one of which didn't even last a year. I have little use for the ones with the vest.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
karrit replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
My local Walgreens finally started getting in the series 27 CMF's. Couldn't be bothered to scan them to see if any of them were the desired ones since they want $6.99 for them. I'll probably get a set of the series 28 Costumed ones since most of them are pretty decent but I doubt I'll buy extras of any. Looking forward to seeing what they actually do for Series 29. I'm not too intrigued with any of the guesses for the next licensed series that people have been speculating here. The licensed ones need to be of interest to me or have a lot of usable parts for creating other minifigs for me. Totally skipped the Spider verse ones and the F1 was a total was of a slot as far as I'm concerned. Spent the CMF budget on BAM figures this year. -
I'm fortunate that mine actually got shipped out right away. Sorry for those of you who are still waiting. Probably another victim of the tariff debacle.

Chinese New Year Sets - Rumors and Discussion
karrit replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
These are interesting sets but not for me. I too prefered the location building sets rather than these decorative object sets. Hopefully will eventually be able to grab some of those new torso prints they have in the Firecracker set. -
Is the medieval theme as popular as it used to be?
karrit replied to plastic-man's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like Ninjago. I didn’t even like the samurai sets. That's what made me stop buying castle sets back when those came out. And Nexo Knights was too out there for me. -

LEGO seems to reserve Castle builds for Disney IP & Harry Potter IP. Space Builds are Star Wars IP and soon Star Trek IP. Pirates again Disney IP & now One Piece IP. These are familiar to the kids due to movies & TV shows. They occasionally throw a bone with in house sets for City or Creator and rarely what they now call the Icons Collection. Unfortunately these are usually big high priced sets with no corresponding small allowance money priced sets so not things the kids can get interested in building a collection with. They are brought up wanting the IP sets because there isn't enough non-IP low priced sets that can grab their interest and spark their imaginations. -
Mine arrived today. I ordered Tortuga & Transylvania and received both.

Two of the 2024 q2 space figures you have are not the correct configurations. You mixed up the Alien and the one with the red hair.

2025/26 Castle [wishlist/speculation]
karrit replied to GreenhouseBricker's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
I think it's going to take me a few days to look through all the BDP9 sets and cast my votes. I'm on the third page of 24 and started getting cross-eyed so had to stop for a while. There seems to be an awful lot of just so-so castle sets and not much detail in the interiors of some sets of all styles, not just the Castle stuff. While some sets look somewhat interesting many aren't really anything I'd be wanting to actually purchase. -

Bricklink Designer Program. You have to access it through Bricklink or the links that are posted on several other websites. -
So I'll be choosing some other accessory for the female Dia de los Muertos fig. I've plenty of that flower piece so not going to waste a BAM spot in the box on that particular piece. I want the two Dia de los Muertos figs, the Scouting guy and various parts from some of the other figs.

[POLL] Rate the 10365 Captain Jack Sparrow's Pirate Ship
karrit replied to Yperio_Bricks's topic in LEGO Pirates
I voted a day one purchase because I have always been a fan of LEGO Pirate ships. I was extremely disappointed back in the day that Mega Bloks initially had the POTC franchise. I bought a few of their small sets because I wanted the POTC Figures. Day one for me coincided with the opening of a brand new LEGO store that is 15 minutes closer to me than the store I had been frequenting. So I got all the store opening goodies as well as the Sega Controller & Compass. Looking forward to building the Pearl. Disappointed in the minifig selection since I'd much prefer having Pintel & Ragetti over a couple of the others. But I am happy they included Ana Maria. I've met a few of the actors and others involved in the movie franchise over the years at some events and personally not a fan of one of the actors they chose to make a minifig of based on his demeanor & foul mouth at an event I attended. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
karrit replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
They already have plenty of Asian architecture in the portfolio with the Chinese New Year, Monkie Kid & Ninjago themes. Yes some of them are mash-ups but definitely Asian inspired. -
41843 Family Christmas Tree Decoration and 10361 Holiday Express Train
karrit replied to danth's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Well I added up all the upcoming Holiday sets not including any of the Advent Calendars and the grand total in the US comes to $627.94 before taxes. Add in another $250 if one wanted all the Advent calendars and with taxes added on that's a little under $1000 for everything. Fortunately I only want two of the Advent Calendars this year and I've already gotten myself two copies of the City one at $10 off each and hoping to secure the other one in Costco with $9 off. I may be staring into the abyss of another dark age unless I want to end up in the poor house. I need to get pickier with my purchases so I'm thinking the Train & Tree are off my must buy list unless a great deal on either of them comes along. May even pass on the Buildable Santa Jumbo Fig. -
LEGO Sci-Fi Ongoing - Rumors, Speculation, and Discussion
karrit replied to Lyichir's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Since we currently have no access to PAB in the US thes new parts are going to be unavailable to us for the foreseeable future. Not planning to spend $330 for the Christmas Tree. -
I thought the Disneyland Train had the Controller but looking back at the instructions they want you to use an app via cell phone which is nuts based on their poor support of their own apps. I do want the Arctic Train but was hoping to find it at a reduced price closer to the holidays. The only other one I'm seeing currently still available with the Controller is the Express Passenger Train which can be found for $152. Not really that interested in that particular set. I may just have to go ahead & get the Arctic one sooner rather than later.

Since I don't have the sold out Powered up parts there is no way I can actually motorize this abomination. Sorry, I'm not about to pay secondary market prices for parts that weren't considered user friendly to begin with just to make this ugly train go around in a boring circle. I do like the dark green carrots. Hate the pointless 3D printed train. Oh, I get it now. I need to buy the Arctic Polar Express Train in order to be able to motorize the new Holiday Express Train.

New Elementary hasn't reported any newly added parts so far this month.
