  1. The only place I've found them is in my local Scheels (No Beastmaster found in about 500 boxes I scanned). Been to 3 different Targets & 1 Walmart with no sign of the CMF's. When I was in Walmart the other day the guy that was unpacking boxes in the toy section told me that a lot of the LEGO was labeled not to be put out until their week 50 which should be sometime toward the end of next week. They did have an almost full new hanging display of the D&D series. He was unpacking some LEGO but we didn't see any boxes that could have been the Series 27 CMF's. I haven't ventured to check in Best Buy or Barnes & Noble yet. And I discovered that the Public Improvement Fees for the shopping center where Scheels is has basically been upped to the point where it adds an additional 4.5% onto the cost of items purchased there in addition to state & local Sales tax so that may become my store of last resort.
  2. Looks like they are doing the build on January 12 in my store. Always the day after our monthly LUG meeting it seems. It's cute but not likely I'll do the 3 hour round trip again just for this.
  3. Not sure if the horns are molded or painted but the part is over $5. If there's any printing they up the price considerably. Look at the difference in price of any of the plain birds and the ones with printed eyes or even the butterflies.
  4. Always have to consider the animals and anything dual molded. Most seem to be going for around $2.00 if not more if they make it to PAB. Dual molded can be $3.50-$5 or more just like the turtle & goat. Figure that you get all the minifig pieces too & it's a no brainer to grab multiples for the animals. Even better if you find the CMF's on sale somewhere. I found a bunch of D&D ones at 1/2 off within a month of release at a local Target so I bought a lot of them for the parts. I know I got several of the Diver with turtle, Toucan & Koala in case they never showed up again. Also a bunch of the girl with the Foal. Look at what the individual parts for the Space Baby cost, way more than the CMF's were.
  5. As one who doesn't collect police, fire, airport or vehicles this year's City selection is mostly a big miss for me. I guess I'm more into farm, nature & adventure type sets so am happier with City when there's lots of space, exploration & outdoors style sets. I know there are those who prefer more city type builds & vehicles but Creator & the Modulars do those so much better. I want homes & interesting buildings rather than more vehicles, airports, police & fire sets. There's definitely need for those types of sets but I prefer the adventurous subthemes while others don't think they belong under the City banner. And maybe they should separate the adventure style sets into a separate theme outside of City.
  6. I never heard of it either. Count me as only interested if there are good usable pirate & ship parts.
  7. I find the more expensive sets in this theme to be more interesting but tend to end up not getting them unless I find a great deal on them. I don't like the mechs so most of the cheap & midrange sets aren't anything I would actually buy. I would guess there is an audience for this theme but mostly I just buy the individual parts I want when they show up on PAB. It was the same with the Monkie Kid sets for me.
  8. I know the aqua colored house with observatory is the iconic one people remember but I'm a little disappointed they didn't go with the original yellow house we see for most of the movie. I guess I'll need to moc the original house. I really like how they recreated Scrump with the dreamling body.
  9. I found the Series 27 CMF's in my local Scheels store today. There had to have been at least 400-500 figures if not more in the display. Scanned them all and not 1 Wolfpack Beastmaster in the entire lot. Surprisingly to me there were less than 10 of the Pirate Quartermaster but plenty of the Steampunk Inventor. Lots of all the others. I grabbed a few of the Pirate, Steampunk, Bogeyman & one of the Plush toy one for the Plushies. Also managed to get a few of the new polybags.
  10. Checked my Walmart. None of the new series. There was a guy unpacking boxes including lots of LEGO so I asked but he couldn't find any. He said they have a lot of boxes marked not to put out until week 50 which should be in two weeks. They did have an almost full hanging display box of the D&D series.
  11. Loving the inclusion of the Pickle Jar! "My friends need to be punished."
  12. They are making the Collectible Portraits a lot harder to get than the Chocolate Frog Cards were. At least with the Frog Cards they put them in one of the Polybags making it easier to try to find the ones you were missing.
  13. Based on all the leaks so far I think it's going to be slim pickins for non-Friends new animals in 2025. Expecting little other than possible recolors of existing Arctic animals. Personally I wish they would revisit the prehistoric animals in City Arctic from a few years back since I missed out on those. Hoping for new colored Horses in the rumored Castle sets, black or gray would be much appreciated at this point. But with the Castle sets being Creator 3-in-1 they could likely be brick built. Friends will probably get some interesting new animals but City will be severely lacking it seems. Any dogs in City theme will likely have those molded on harnesses unfortunately.
  14. The only ones on this list currently peaking my interest are the two Arctic sets, possibly the Train Station & maybe the Advent Calendar. So basically all the really expensive ones.
  15. Each year they say check back in January. I don't think it ever truly gets back up with actual in stock items until some time in February.
  16. I wouldn't mind the piece count going down in the Advent calendars if they would use bigger pieces. 186 pieces when the majority are 1x1 and 1x2 plates, tiles, cheese slopes, etc., would be pathetic.
  17. My October 15th standard part order shipped the other day. Still nothing on my October 9th order. A fellow LUG member received their October 9th order yesterday. The rest of my standard part orders are still showing in warehouse as of today. Also still "waiting Stock" on my Lighthouse which was supposed to ship by December 12 when I ordered it and they've held up shipping my GWP's & mini Barracuda. I forgot to add a small something to that order so the GWP's would ship.
  18. There will be two BrickSlopes Conventions in 2025. Registration is now open for both the new event in Denver, Colorado and the 11th year for the event in Sandy, Utah. https://brickslopes.com/
  19. So the message I sent via the contact link regarding my October 9 order delay resulted in me being credited with some Insider points. They didn't mention the warehouse upgrade but claimed they saw that my best seller parts from the same order were shipped to me from Poland on November 11. They actually shipped from the US & arrived on October 19 so I have idea what they were looking at. They went on to tell me that the standard parts went out of stock in early October when I placed the order but came back in stock in early November and since they are handpicked it may take some time for the warehouse to fulfill.
  20. Just sent them a message about my October 9th order. Will be interesting to see what their response is. I'm expecting the canned "warehouse upgrade caused delays" excuse despite telling them I'm already aware of that issue. The delays are bad enough but I've had fellow LUG members who placed orders more that a week after me who have already had their standard parts orders shipped.
  21. There's a few sets I'm interested in. Will be skipping the Tree House one since it's very similar to the last one. Apartments, Restaurant, Beekeeper, maybe the Camper, a couple of the small food stand ones will be on my wishlist. Also the Suitcase one, I always get those.
  22. No extra points for me when I inquired about my parts orders. If I don't see any movement by the end of this week I'll be calling again.
  23. I think they are just making things up at this point in response to questions about the Standard Parts delays. I'm well beyond the 40 business days for my Oct. 9 order now and as I've said before it was still advertised as 28 days on the day I placed my order. At this point I'll be shocked if I receive anything before next year. I've still got 6 unshipped standard part orders in limbo land.
  24. I miss the old glow in the dark Ghost. Hope they bring those back in some form.
  25. Not seeing anytthing on this list that I'm interested in.
