  1. Maybe it has been there for a long time, but I have never seen it before (and I look multiple times a week on the site). But looking at BnP now, even the location of the search box is smaller and lower than it was the last time I logged in. So I'm on team new feature.
  2. Most pieces have a very teeny tiny stamp of ID numbers on the piece itself. Sometimes may need magnifying lens.
  3. While I am all for reducing aftermarket costs, and it is always frustrating when you miss a set. It is also frustrating when LEGO continually remakes sets, especially large expensive sets. Did they need to remake the X-wing or Falcon? Not necessarily. Do they need to remake this? No... But I would HOPE they could make it more stable. If you look at the 2014 version wrong it breaks. It was a beautiful looking set, but terrible design (maybe that's all they could do at the time, but tons of new pieces now). But still, another giant Tumbler...lame. Especially when they throw in an awesome figure line-up. Just another slap in the face to past fans.
  4. I've only seen these larger Creator sets get "clearanced" at Walmart, and even then it was a fluke thing. I recall buying the Pirate roller coaster set for 20% off while Target still had it full price. YMMV
  5. Thank you both for the responses. I can see it in a different perspective now. I'm sure they were profiting from it (or at least I hope they were!). Living in a predominantly caucasian area near a reservation, we were willing to pay to watch and learn. It is unfortunate and saddening that so many cultures get lost through history. Reading about Native American culture is interesting and it would do well for kids to be reminded of the positive aspects of these things. (every culture has ugly history also, but we seem to not define them by only the negatives...) Either way, I'd love to see this as a set. I would gladly buy it. (but again, I understand the concern of profiting from other's cultures).
  6. I will be in the camp of "kids don't care" because I am a grown up looking at the pictures and realizing they have different flags. Red/blue made sense for Crusaders castle considering their torsos were red/blue. I wouldn't want yellow anywhere near there. But sure enough per Brickset, I can see they had single yellow flags on some sets. White on others. Even the Forestmen River Fortress (one of my favorites as a kid) has red/white flags for them even though they are a more green/brown faction. And to me, it worked. so . It looks like everyone has their own preference either way.
  7. I'm confused on the controversy. I can understand people of a certain demographic profiting from another's culture being problematic, but what about this MOC says controversy? I think you nailed it. Growing up near a reservation of the Sioux tribe, they would routinely do events where they did music and dancing and we would watch their culture come to life! I'd love for this to be a set. I haven't been as involved in Western style sets for some time, but that time period should be kept in the forefront and would love to see a reimagining of this culture. Native American culture gets pushed aside too easily. It is extremely unfortunate and terrible. Hopefully things will change going forward now that people are more aware of these concerns.
  8. These things keep coming available on my day off when I'm nowhere near a computer. Seems consistent. Oh well, time will be a friend hopefully.
  9. I realize the advantage of pre-ordering to make sure you get the set immediately. But I've noticed this earlier wave has been available from the start and still sitting on shelves...Is it because people don't like the memory books as much? I just don't think I'm going to pre-order anything. I'll be able to pick up these easily in stores (I realize not everywhere has been so lucky). Or I can just as easily wait a bit to pick them up since I don't think I've ever needed a set on Day 1. I have too much of a backlog anyway. But so far I've been impressed with these new sets, so unfortunately will have to get them all...goodbye projected savings for 2021...
  10. It has been taking about a month per order for me in USA. But that is still quicker than it was earlier in the year. I've ordered some random parts for MOCs because of the quantity needed (plus price vs bricklink), but that just means my project will have to sit unfinished for a while...
  11. It does seem to happen a lot at 10:30 pm Central time USA. I'm not necessarily in bed at that time, but I'm not usually around a screen to check. I do most of my checking at work during normal business hours, so no wonder I miss out on these things.
  12. I received two orders last week, around March 26th. One order was from Feb 26 (so one month) and the other order was from March 19 (so one week). I was shocked! Yes the longer order was larger, and the shorter order was smaller, but it wasn't a small order so to speak.
  13. There is more nudity here than the stripclub MOC that was posted a few weeks ago But the build overall looks great. The trees work well. The water adds some depth. The wall structures using that rounded piece is brilliant. Well done!
  14. That is incredible! The shapes blend together smoothly even though they are a blocky medium. The facial shaping is phenomenal. And the scale! WOW, simply WOW.
  15. I would love to. I need to get better pictures of some of them. But once I'm finished I'll do like you did and have a string of themed MOCs in one page. And I forgot to list my WIP Blacktron 1 AT-ST since it reminded me of the Alienator. I worked on these during quarantine last spring 2020 and then had to get back to work so they were put on hold for quite a while until I started accumulating pieces that might work.
  16. Great minds think alike. I have Neo-CS X-Wing, A-Wing, Y-Wing just like you! But I have a Blacktron 2 TIE Fighter. M:Tron Sandcrawler. And I am currently working on an Ice Planet Snowspeeder...weird Yours look great. Really captures the themes. It's funny how similar idea and similar source material and mine look different from yours. Have fun!
  17. Incredible! I've been building some Dutch inspired buildings lately (having never been anywhere near there I have to resort to online pictures for styles). These capture the design aesthetic really well. I also like the scene you included. Most of my buildings are static and not too dynamic. The piano and facial expressions is spot on! Kudos.
  18. I just received an email this morning saying 2 orders were shipped. One was placed Feb 25, the other was Mar 10. So the larger order took almost a month to ship, the smaller order only took 9 days. But so far this year it has been pretty consistent with the 5 weeks or so.
  19. It always bothers me looking at that. Max price sold $9.12...why? I want these also, but why would I pay $9 for a torso that is $0.80 from LEGO and it surely will come back in stock sometime. It's brand new. It isn't end of life. If I miss out, then I miss out. But I'm not paying $9 for one torso (or $3 for that matter). Looks like I won't have a Falcon army. Simple as that.
  20. It makes me think, you are from Germany. How is the "WIld West" depicted there? Obviously being USA centric entertainment here, I am aware of western ideas. But in other countries I have zero knowledge on how the mid to late 1800s would be depicted. They'd have the same technology as we would have had. Seems like an interesting thought.
  21. I never thought of that. Poor Dobby and his stinky sock.
  22. This looks great. The colors really pop! I think if it was to get chosen, they wouldn't bring back those windows. I'm thinking a 1x2x2 panel would work. While these windows look better, I think they'd have to retool something. I don't know if they'd decline it automatically because of a piece like that. Otherwise, looks great. I recently was getting back into Western LEGO and was thinking of building a small town. A stagecoach is obviously on the list and I am impressed with the creativity here.
  23. Well done! This is incredible. The colors work really well together. I always worry of using too much of one color and this is accented really well. The street depth/coloring/texturing works really well. I was trying to build my own cobblestone street for a build, this is spot on. The tree is top notch. A lot of texture on the trunk. I find that to be the tricky part. But I love the tree. The only thing I don't like is the dark orange/dark red earth. Something about it doesn't blend as well. But the rest is phenomenal. I will definitely look at this for inspiration. I'm always wanting to build something Medieval fantasy.
  24. I've been missing those torsos by a few hours also...super annoying. I'll continue the waiting game. Maybe eventually luck will strike.
  25. These are super clever. I don't know much about Ninjago, but I have seen enough of the sets to know which character is which. Well done. Western is something you don't see a lot of these days.
