  1. Thanks. I'll have to take a look at Friends more often!
  2. @BrickWorld_PL I can't even see that piece being available on brickset or bricklink with any of those numbers. Are those licensed skin tone ears instead of yellow? What set do they even come in??
  3. That looks brilliant. The colors work really well together. I need to get off my kiester and start building HP related MOCs.
  4. I received notice that it shipped today. I ordered it before midnight on 8/31, so I know I was super early in the ordering process. And yet it seems to be shipping later than most other people. What's the point in being at the ready if you get pushed aside anyway?? Oh well. I guess I will just have to receive it after Labor Day weekend.
  5. The scale is most impressive. The design/color for the exterior looks visually appealing. i like the variety. I always wondered how a modular school would look. I think this captures it.
  6. The red infinity stone would be good. Although likely IP locked.
  7. I ordered on May 24 and just received email that it shipped today. The total is $7 less than what I had originally been quoted. And 7 items aren’t on the list. I’ll wait until I receive it to see what isn’t on the list since visually I’ll find things quicker than looking at a list of item numbers. But that stinks. Hopefully none of the things I cared most about were taken.
  8. This is incredible. That piece count is insane! But it makes sense for the amount of detail. Keep up the good work. This isn't the first impressive thing you've done.
  9. This was my favorite set as a kid. I still have it built actually since the early 90s. You captured the shaping well. I do like the new baseplate/greenery. It works here. A bit smooth in places, but that can't be helped. The gray color scheme...that is not for me. I think it would work well for the Dragon knights from Kingdoms, as you are using them. But for BLACK knights, I guess I'm too much of a purist. Why would they be called Black Knights if they don't have any black? That was the main appeal of the original castle, black with light gray trim. It stood out among all of the gray castles that came before it (and after it). But just one man's opinion. I do like the build techniques and the building itself looks great. You captured the updated shape of the original, so I will give kudos to that. The interior looks well done also. I just think it should be black still.
  10. Looks great! Definitely would fit well with a series of buildings, but stands out a bit among the modulars. And fyi there is a bakery in the Assembly Square modular set .I I like the color combo a lot. And the rounded tile above arch looks interesting.
  11. That's clever. Really neat stuff. Except, (unless I'm missing them here), where is Rachel?
  12. I haven't watched the video yet, but very clever. Thanks for the underneath picture. I've been wondering how people get away with some of these things. Well done!
  13. I have a handful of sets still waiting. But then I realize I likely will "never" build it, so then the next question is -- sell on, or part out. Especially when you see the value of something that is beyond what you'd expect. But I don't think I've ever added onto a Modular yet. I tend to design my own, sometimes using designs or pieces from the official sets. But since everyone has the official sets, I figure I'd rather have something unique. So I hadn't bought two of any modular. I'd rather just buy pieces individually since I wouldn't be needing ALL of the pieces to modify the set (but I don't do that so..)
  14. I've never heard of this, but this is incredible. Well done! I wish I had something I was that passionate about to live out in LEGO form. It makes the build more satisfactory when you can visualize the things you love.
  15. Brilliant. Well done. The car MOCs are really well done (I'm always jealous of car builders since I can do okay, but a lot of those little details get lost). The building itself and lot work really well with the details you've provided. Is the salesman with the tie askew a custom torso/sticker? I don't recall seeing that before.
  16. The data is interesting, but since I'm not a statistician, I am having a hard time understanding the graphs. It shows most are similar enough with a few spikes, but since everything is overlapping and the color coded chart down below isn't 100% easy for me to distinguish, none of this is of value to me, unfortunately. Thanks for the hard work. I think long term this is an interesting endeavor!
  17. I've noticed when I MOC buildings, I've been building closer to 24 wide buildings instead of full 32. But I hate having alleyways in every build I do. I can't ever justify cutting the baseplate to make it smaller. Full 32 wide is definitely harder to come by because of the height. Too tall, it doesn't look right. Too narrow, it doesn't look right. Always find that balance/ratio. The bookshop looks decent for scale, but the townhouse is way too short for how it should look (IMO). But you can't straight double it up to make it look correct either. Who knows.
  18. I know. I love the show. But it was technically a real elevator, just not working because of the explosion. (I understand limited space in builds. And I like that you tried incorporating it in there.)
  19. Thanks for the pictures. I'm surprised at how different this ended up from how my own build is coming along. Which is good! Always interesting to see different takes on the similar source material. I am confused on the non working elevator/stairs above it. It looks like the stairs would cut right through it? Odd. But maybe it is the angle I'm looking at it. I love the rooftop though. Well done sir!
  20. Normally I am not that bothered about not having a close store, but seeing these new prints/molds/pieces pains me... I missed out on those shields last summer. Now there are some other really good pieces. All of those halloween pieces would have been useful too. Oh well I guess..
  21. Lego has produced multiple variations of zombies. How is that really different from the inferi? Outside of lack of clothing on the inferi. Either way, I don't see why some simple printing couldn't produce one or two of them in a set. I liked the thestral a lot, but I don't know how much more we'd see of them, even though they should get some use out of their mold piece. Centaurs would be incredible, but other than the first movie (and a bit in the 5th) do we see them? I forget about the battle of Hogwarts if there are centaurs. Been a while since I've watched it. They are all over the books, but darn movies have to cut so much out
  22. I received that email too. I'm already paid member and I don't know anyone else that may want the service that aren't already paying members. I had over 1000 photos, so I had to pay. I've slowly been going through and deleting them to wittle it down, but I guess it won't matter in the long run. I have them all backed up on my phone right now (which gets backed up to the apple cloud), but it was nice having flickr for when my phone goes caput.
  23. Lucky finding them at Walmart. Our local 4 locations are still recovering from Christmas. The whole LEGO aisle is destroyed still almost a week later. And I normally don't see too many CMF there oddly enough. I found mine at Kohl's (clothing store of all places). But full price. It stung. I didn't really love this series, but figured I needed some for completion sake. Has anyone else noticed that some come with 2 of the new clear piece, while others only come with 1? I found that odd. And yes, I checked the bag multiple times and the floor to make sure I wasn't missing any.
  24. I'm sure this recreates the scene quite well. I'll be honest, I've never seen the movie. I've only seen the Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig Bond movies and I think one Sean Connery. Otherwise, on its own merits, it does represent a scene quite well, especially at this scale. It adds a lot of depth vertically, and the helicopters do add a lot to the MOC.
  25. Those HP torsos work really well with plain yellow people. Brilliant. I hadn't considered that, for whatever reason. I will always love classic yellow since it was my childhood (especially plain boring smiley). But I do really like the licensed skin tones. There is nothing negative about people having different skin tones. *shrugs* \ With that said, you can modify your licensed skin tones with a yellow sharpie and make licensed-yellow versions of the real characters. I did it with an extra Jack Sparrow (since we had so many) and it turned out really well. I never got a picture of it and beats me where I put it. But I may have to do it on some other extras I have in the future, just for fun. But I rather like switching the pieces altogether to represent them (or other people entirely) with yellow. Looks like my town just got a whole bunch of new torso ideas.
