  1. A pilotable space virus? RAD.
  2. Shows how much I know. A Dreamworks movie with big name voice actors is probably going to be good, no matter what it's about. I still think it's a weird choice for Lego, unlike Minions which seems to be pretty popular.
  3. Hello Aanchir. Instead of calling people's opinions absurd, why don't you share yours? Do YOU like the idea of Minions Lego sets? Are YOU excited for Trolls Lego sets? Personally, I'm not excited. And I can't image anyone wanting Trolls sets, or even wanting to see the movie. They're ugly dolls that were a minor fad in the 80's that people only remember to ridicule.
  4. Wow, even the torso printing looks absolutely awful. Either that's a knock off or Lego has given up.
  5. Hmm...the face looks kinda crappy. Maybe another failure to print light colors over dark pieces. Also how hilarious would it have been to see the classic smiley under that helmet!
  6. My list: Must buys Intergalactic Bounty Hunter Fox Suit Girl Probable buys Jungle Explorer Ghost Knight Like for the ridiculousness Rainbow Bear Flamingo Woman Find kinda cool Coder Girl Mummy Monkey King Like for parts Rugby Player (helmet) Mountain Biker (head w/shades) Most punchable Gamer Don't care Firefighter Pizza Guy Shower Guy Dog Walker
  7. Argument: Blacktron are criminals and would not work with law enforcement. Counterargument: They could work outside the law for crime lords a'la Boba Fett working for Jabba the Hutt.
  8. I love the ridiculous smallness of that bot! Some of the newer Lego pieces have really enabled some awesomely tiny robots!
  9. That's it! Although I was afraid quoting that post would jinx any chances of it coming true. Now if it doesn't happen it'll be your fault!
  10. If so...I called it. (Somewhere, I'll find the post later if it ends up being true.)
  11. This is cool, but the detachable space lab really puts it over the top for me. Also keeping the black & white rocket coloring for the nacelles is a nice touch.
  12. That is glorious. Can't wait to snag one of those (or ten)!
  13. I think the person you are replying to here is talking about what CMF should be. Not what it was in the past. He thinks it should be an opportunity to give us minifigs that don't fit in to other themes. To give us minifigs that already fit in current themes feels to him like a wasted opportunity. Instead of writing a kneejerk screed against his opinion, why don't you give your opinion? What do you think CMF should be? I think we'd all rather hear that. Also, few of your examples make sense. Forestmen would not have fit in to nearly any castle theme of the last 10 years. They've been mostly knights/soldiers and castles, and including a one-off Forestman would have been weird. Same for the elf warriors etc. The CMF spacemen would not have fit in any way into any of the recent Space themes either. Pink Space Girl in Galaxy Squad? Nope. White Space Man in Space Police 3? Nope, there were no civilians, just cops and robbers. And frankly, if someone at the time said "Man I wish Space Police had civilians" or "I wish castle had Forestmen and Elves", you'd have been right there telling them why they were wrong for wanting that. Again you totally missed his point. I think he was laughing at that figure being ranked at the top spot of someone's list. Not that the figure sucked. Don't you always write a five page thesis in response to those comments telling them how they're wrong for wanting those things? Again you totally missed the point. He was saying the pepperoni should be embossed. Have texture. Stick out a little bit. You got hung up on his parenthetical aside. I kinda think he has the right to think that about the pepperoni, and I think arguing against his preference to "prove him wrong" would be super weird. But Aanchir, I would like to hear your opinion. Which CMFs do you like? Which do you think could be better? How? Because I absolutely promise you, having opinions and sharing them is more fun that trying to demolish other's opinions.
  14. Insanely cool. Much respect for people who can pull off a transforming model!
  15. I'd love to see some Fabuland CMFs. Even if they don't have the old Fabuland body style. I realize I might be in a very small minority on this...
  16. My hot take: This is to make Lego even more attractive for their inevitable sale to Disney.
  17. That copter is pretty gorgeous. We also get a trans purple book cover piece, it looks like. Nice!
  18. Yes please. Agreed. Also, explaining to someone why their opinion is wrong, and telling them it's weird that they even have an opinion on something, is definitely not going to lead anywhere good.
  19. Oh my god, a personal attack, are you serious? It's a well known fact that people aren't going to like someone who always constantly invalidates other people's opinions. You rush to the defense of Lego every time someone has even the slightest criticism. "I wish this was a cool color instead of boring light trans blue." "OH MY GOD, YOU HAVE SULLIED LEGO'S GOOD NAME, SIR. I CHALLENGE YOU DO A DUEL THIS INSTANT!" You're being ridiculous. People are going to have opinions you disagree with. They're going to wish things were some other way than what Lego has done. You don't have to make a stink of it. You don't have to defend every decision Lego makes. You can just let people not like something and move on. You don't have to tell people why their preference is wrong. It's just annoying. My opinions are opinions. By definition they cannot be wrong. There's no point in arguing with them. Just MOVE ON. You aren't going to win cosmic brownie points by defending Lego's color choices. Lego is not going to give you an award. You're just making people resent you.
  20. You must be really popular, policing people's opinions all the time, especially with weird nihilistic arguments like "if I actually cared about stuff, I could complain about anything". Trans light blue is boring, actual colors are cool, sorry you can't comprehend that simple fact.
  21. So what? They could have zoomed into the tandem cockpits. It doesn't really matter why they made the canopies trans light blue though. Trans light blue is still boring and makes the set worse.
  22. I dunno, there were conversations in Mayhem's spaceship and she had a pink windscreen. And I've seen the movie twice and don't even remember this spaceship so the scene couldn't have been that important. What is it, a few seconds long? Honestly the trans light blue windscreens are the worst thing about the set. It's why I'm not getting it. Colored windscreens are treasured pieces for non-City theme sets. We can get all the boring trans light blue we want from City.
  23. I like the parts more than the build for the spaceship. Colored windscreens would have made it something special. I can get boring light trans blue in City sets. That Benny though. That Benny is irresistible. Not sure what I like more. The crazy Classic Space torso, the sunglasses, or the face print.
  24. Sigh. I love this. It's so perfect. Really brings me back to childhood. A few simple parts and your imagination. It was always enough.
