This is not a game to me and I take offense at the accusation. Look all over this forum. I've been here for what, a decade? I post all over about Lego. My first post in this topic (at least recently) was about how awesome this set was. My second was just a statement that I don't like it when people get deligitimized for being disappointed. You replied, so I posted a quote from you that was an example of what I was talking about. It kept going from there. A bunch of people joined in. You've decided to single me out for some reason. This is obviously personal for you, so to pretend to be magnanimous by offering to be banned along with me is pretty transparent. Feel free to ask for yourself to be banned if you wish, but leave me out of it. I've done nothing but respectfully defend the opinions of people who prefer the original set. Then I defended the existence of trans people. You're asking for people to be banned. Your reactions to my innoccous comments have been disproportionate and over the top.

To be honest, this reeks of bigotry. You seem really pissed about the mere mention of trans people existing. Pushing the idea that trans people existing is "an agenda" is the real agenda. Trans people exist. It's not politics to talk about it.

The "knobby" look of the headlamps don't look very sci-fi IMO, more nautical. Not sure if I'd use them in a Space MOC.

I think you're really missing the irony here. They have a rule about not submitting remakes of existing sets, but they turned an original submission into a remake of an existing set.

Yep, you got it. Agreed. I'm not super big on the aesthetics of the leaked helmet. I prefer the Spacer Miner one or any of the older helmet designs.

We all know the original and the produced set are different. There's no argument. They're different. One turns into a ship. One doesn't. The only possible argument there is could be: is it different enough that someone's disappointment is valid? But that's only an argument you engage in to invalidate other people's emotions. So why do it?

I never said you did. Also I quoted your entire post in the same thread so it's not even possible that I took anything out of context... The "shut up" part is my interpretation of the message I'm seeing over multiple posts by multiple people. Essentially: "Stop disliking things I like!"

I was actually going to say, if LEGO is getting into mass production of stickered tiles, I'd love to get a set geared towards classic themes. I want some Classic Space tiles, arrow tiles, computer consoles, Black Falcons, Wolf Pack, etc... I guess that sort of thinking is all just a joke tho...

This is an example of policing people's emotions. There's no "debating" emotions. Either you let people vent or you delegitimize.

I really hate it when forums try to police the emotions of fans. If people are upset with the changes, that's their right. Let them voice it. It doesn't hurt anyone to let them vent. I love the redesign but I'm not going to tell people who are disappointed that their feelings are not legitimate.

A Legends line could absolutely succeed if a few simple non-self-sabotage guidelines were followed: Don't launch the line during a global pandemic/recession. Sadly the new Pirates of Barracuda Bay set will be hurt by this. Don't launch the line with no fanfare or marketing like the original Legends line Don't make it hard to find the sets like the original Legends line Don't make the boxes BORING BLACK AND WHITE like the original Legends line Also, instead of releasing old sets exactly like the were, why not improve them or make updated homages? Like the Ninjago Legacy sets, or like the new Pirates of Barracuda Bay set.

CLASSIC. THEMED. IDEAS. SETS. This is about as perfect as it gets! The set is gorgeous. I'm one of the many who prefer this to the original IDEAS design. LEGO, now do this for Space and Castle!

What I mean is, I'm super glad we're getting Pirates anything, and I'd much rather see more throwbacks to classic sets than tired Star Wars repeats.

LEGO pumps out a Millenium Falcon and X-Wing every year and the world rejoices. Just sayin'.
