  1. What? No 80's something space guy? Are you kidding me?
  2. I hope to god its the return of Fabuland.
  3. His head looks more like the Slave One to me.
  4. I don't think you guys realize how obnoxious it is when every time anyone on a toy forum says "I don't really like these, and here's why", instead of being included in the conversation, the following things happen: 1) their ideas are immediately dismissed as "whining" by sycophants who lack the capacity to be critical 2) they are given sarcastic advice to "just don't buy it" or "just buy" some other product they obviously have no interest in and 3) Someone raises the idea that there is something wrong with the fandom and they are impossible to please because they point out obvious problems I'm so damn sick of that crap happening on every forum I go to that I don't respond nicely any more. If you are guilty of any of the three irksome comments I've listed, you deserve nothing more than the shortness with which I've expressed my views. But what I said before really is the shortest way to put it: "This new space police sucks, now stop whining because other people don't like it as much as you do." Why should I sugar coat that? All I do in that sentence is give my opinion and ask someone to stop giving insulting advice to anyone with a legit criticism. And for that you guys say I've made the least intelligent post on the internet, and call me rude! But whatever, I'd be ecstatic if the slightest bit of what I'm saying gets through to you guys, even if you end up thinking I'm some jerk or troll. Just let people be critical without suggesting they are impossible to please or giving them rude advice. Because if you offer advice, someone might do this: Wha...Wait, what? Are you serious? Are you telling me that I don't have to buy these new Legos? See, I was under the impression that, if I looked at the pictures, that I was legally obligated to buy these. I didn't really think I could just not buy them. Is that legal? I might have to talk to my lawyer on that one. But if I don't buy them, don't I have to throw away my collection? I'm pretty sure I saw that somewhere in my contract with Lego...you know, the one you have to sign when you buy their products? See, if I understand correctly, I'm totally screwed: if I do buy these new crappy Legos, I'm out over a hundred bucks, and if not, I have to throw away all my Legos! Are you saying I'm wrong about this? EDIT: THANK YOU MR. MANDALORIAN!!! OMG I LOVE YOU! **HUGS!!** I talked to my lawyer and he said I never signed a contract! And he told me I have no obligation to buy anything! You totally saved my life! If it weren't for your helpful, totally non-sarcastic and non-douche-baggy advice, I would have bought all this stuff I didn't like, or lost my whole collection. BUT YOU SAVED ME! THANK YOU SO MUCH! THAT WASN'T UNHELPFUL AT ALL!!!!!!!!!
  5. It's not about intelligent arguments, it's about common sense. But since you apparently don't have the benefit of that, let me explain the obvious to you. 1)SPACE police should be about SPACE. A flying car with a big air intake has nothing to do with space. And -- this is just some more common sense for you -- the flying car has a uncolored car windshield. That might be fine for Star Wars, but traditionally in SPACE Lego sets, canopies are colored. Blue, yellow, green, red, orange, whatever. Plus -- more obvious stuff here -- they typically use spacey canopies and not car windshields. An uncolored car windshield just screams CITY. 2)The flying car and police space ship really clash. They don't look like they belong in the same theme, because the police ship looks spacey and the flying car just looks futuristic. Are you following me? Not exactly rocket science here. Most people want their Lego themes to at least look cohesive. 3)It is possible to like Lego and not be a fan of Star Wars. The new movies are garbage and tainted the whole Star Wars experience for me. You act like one of those people who think Star Wars fans must like Star Trek too, I mean it's all just space, right? The whole point of Lego is that you can build your own worlds. Kinda hard to do that when you buy a box full of light sabers and storm troopers. I guess this would occur to you if you, ya know, thought about it for a second. You see, these problems should jump out at you if you have looked at the preliminary pictures. You're not waiting for an intelligent argument, you're looking for someone to explain the obvious to you. So enough of this "Just buy Star Wars or shut the f*** up" bullcrap. I won't even mention the shirtless bad guy with the flame coming out of his butt.
  6. This new Space Police sucks, deal with instead of crying because other people don't like it as much as you.
  7. I take offense. You imply that if the fan base does not all agree that everything Lego does is perfect, there must be something wrong with us. I think the "Space cars? Yuck!" response that many fans are having is totally understandable.
  8. I agree with Phoinix on all counts. I don't really want future police with flying cars. I want deep space explorers. I also really love the Star Justice set. Now, these sets are very similar to Star Justice and Space Skulls in way: More traditional Space designs for the Police, and wacky designs for the Bad Guys. I just think the Star Justice designs are way cooler than the design for the particular Space Police III ship we see in the picture. Also, while I love the Star Justice set, I didn't really care for the Space Skulls. Just give me two factions of space explorers and let them have skirmishes. I don't need any weird comic-book bad guys. I think Blacktron were the perfect "bad guys," because they aren't weird. They look really cool, but menacing. And it's just as well to pretend the are persecuted rebels, good guys in black fighting against the oppressive, fascist Space Police.
  9. I like the alien, but the ships get a big ol' "Meh" from me. The hot rod is interesting but clashes with the white ship, and the white ship doesn't look so hot. I was hoping for designs like the Star Justice set. Those were great.
  10. I used this opportunity to complain about pearled plastic pieces and stickers. Those cheap-looking pearly pieces are my number one Lego gripe right now.
  11. That is extremely cool!

That is righteous! I love it.

    Very nice!
  15. I remain cautiously optimistic. I have a feeling, with names like "squidman," this theme is gonna be pretty campy. Kinda like a continuation Star Justice and the Space Skulls. That could either totally kill or totally bomb, depending on how they pull it off. The idea of a Star Justice type set without stickers and without the piece limitations of pick-a-brick has me very excited, however. Things I hope to see: Air tanks The Space logo A cool color theme (no orange!) Things I don't want to see: Pearled plastic Stickers spring-loaded or pneumatic anything
  16. What the heck is Blacktron III anyway?
  17. Too bad we'll be forced to get a good guy and a bad guy in each set. I liked the old sets where they were sold separately, or like Classic Space where there weren't good guys and bad guys. Hey, am I the only one who always thought Blacktron got a bad rap? Like they were being persecuted? Arrested for Flying while Black?
  18. Just wanted to say thanks to I Scream Man, Hinkley, and Aaron at Brothers Brick. My wife and I will have a very merry Christmas with the Castle Advent Calendar this year! We only bought one (didn't feel greedy), plus a City calendar. --Dan from California.
  19. These sets show exquisite skill and creativity, and it's great to see what talented fans of Space can come up with using limited bricks and colors, but I can't help feeling sad at Lego's unwillingness to give us space sets with printed pieces (I hate stickers) and airtanks. Although I appreciate the Skull sets, they're a bit campy and wacky for my taste. Not that I could do better!
  20. These would be so much better with airtanks, even the single airtanks from Aqua Raiders. I take it these sets only contain pieces from the Lego pick-a-brick selection? That's the only reason I can think of not to include airtanks.
