  1. Agreed, I think a complex hand model capable of somewhat realistic articulation would be really cool, and sorta fitting with the theme. Animals alone feels too restrictive.
  2. It looks like a solid build. Have you got any footage of it?
  3. Only as long as you provide a digital file so I can make one too :)
  4. Sure thing: Front wheel hub: Rear wheel hub: Actual photos: And finally, a video of a prototype working: I originally made these out of PETG, attached metal U joints with a hole drilled in one side with glue and a cut up screw, and glued both pieces to either side of the bearing. PETG turns out to be a terrible material for this application, so it broke. The newer ones were from PLA, but I kinda gave up half way through because the brushless motor is just too much power for the lego differentials. I ordered diffs from zene, so I'll pick the wheel hub project up again in a month when those arrive. STL files are on bricksafe: https://bricksafe.com/pages/Aurorasaurus/brushless/wheel-hubs
  5. If they're out of stock because of other orders, I think so. They could also be on holiday, we all deserve a break sometimes. You'll still get your unit before christmas.
  6. This looks super promising. I've also been working on this topic, only trying to connect lego wheels instead of rc wheels. Funnily, I'm also using a 21mm OD 15mm ID 4mm bearing! But I have put my project down for a bit, so I'm glad someone else is doing it too. Cant wait to see how this turns out.
  7. Conveyor belt wheels, flywheels for a foam dart gun, flotation devices... theres lots of options!
  8. Honestly, it sounds like a fun challenge. Especially if the rules on what you can build were very loose, I have some ideas already...
  9. Its beautiful, really impressive. How is the performance of the rc version?
  10. Put tape over the axle hole, then push the ball with axle in it. You can do this with the pinholes too. It wont stop the tire rubbing, but it will stop the pins coming out and keep the links on a lot lot better. Also, maybe use wd40 BRAND ptfe spray to lubricate moving parts, not generic everything spray, that stuff eats plastic.
  11. Why not make a new theme for "actual technic" and keep the old technic theme for what would probably fit better into racers? That keeps things simple for all the normal consumers who will be used to buying "technic" sets. Of course, the issue of a market for "actual technic" being too small persists, but I dont think that will stop any of us wanting it.
  12. Often when we see parts in new colors, people speculate the reason for them being recolored. To my mind, outside of a few parts like pins and axles, a recolor in one set has no correlation to that part appearing in another set. But, I think I know why this might be, and I was wondering if someone could confirm it. Is it because TLG manufactures huge amounts of individual parts, then stores them and dips into their stocks when putting parts together for sets? That would make sense, but surely recoloring a part isnt difficult, outside of some specific parts into transparent materials. Which even then is easy, now that they changed material...
  13. @SNIPE If you can do some drawings (ms paint will do) I can try design this part for you. Do you have access to a 3d printer?
  14. How much reduction are you planning to use? Surely it will need to be a lot to get this thing moving with just 2 motors... This seems promising and I'm excited to see what you come up with.
  15. Yes please! There's a serious lack of pink technic parts, and that sounds like a perfect set for everyone.
  16. At least the headlights use black axles instead of red ones? I'm fishing for positives here...
  17. Cosmetic A pillars to go with the cosmetic muffler :)
  18. For me, the Red Bull one is much more appealing. The navy blue color just looks beautiful in my eyes. And the printed tires are long overdue. I hope they can bring something else to the table to justify their increased price though.
  19. It looks like it should have HOG and a tipping bed. To me, the price seems a bit much. But maybe it has more to offer than it seems. The wheelarch in black is nice.
  20. I'm pretty sure in a recent racingbrick video theres a short clip of someone playing with its suspension.
  21. I think the headlights look awful, but I'll be glad to get all these yellow parts if the price is fair.
