  1. It may look different due to the frame I put around it and the way I packaged it, but it is certainly his gearbox. tim
  2. I believe it is Pitrerx's 3+R gearbox. There should be more pictures on his website as well as various Eurobricks threads. tim
  3. Great looking buggy! I like the long travel axles in the rear, some great techniques used there. I would love to see a video, even if its only simple smartphone video! tim
  4. The buckets look great! I will certainly be interested in buying one for the right price. tim
  5. Here is a teaser for my review of the Lego Tumbler: tim
  6. Great looking racecar, it captures the lines well. Sorry for being a bit off topic but would you mind elaborating? I am looking to get an internship at Lego next summer. Tim
  7. I dont know how I missed this the first time around! The truck and trailer combo looks great, especially with the forklift on the back. Forklift seems to work well, though it has no cabin? tim
  8. That is certainly a possibility, however, given the relatively low load applied to the hub when driving, it should not be a problem. tim
  9. Hey thats me! Those are some nice looking lights, though they might be too large for my car . tim
  10. Wow great minds must think alike! I discovered (or was inspired) to create that design back during last summer, so unfortunately I do not remember how I came about the design. Considering they are almost exactly the same, it would be quite the coincidence if we each came up with it separately! tim
  11. With my first year of college/university finished, I have returned home for the summer. After being away from Lego for 8 months, I was a little rusty at first. That didn't stop me from deciding to completely rebuild the corvette frame and suspension. Here you can see the front unequal length wishbone suspension, featuring caster, camber, and kingpin inclination. There is a negligible bump steer, but considering this is just Lego, I think it is acceptable. I would be happy to receive comments and critique. Tim
  12. The chassis does look gorgeous, I am looking forward to the final product. I would also love to see some more detailed/close up pictures of the steering and chassis components! tim
  13. This model is stunning, and a great example of how good studless bodywork can be! tim
  14. I saw this on youtube and it lived up to everything I hoped it would be! I too was left wondering how you built up the energy for the bounces. tim
  15. Great looking progress so far. I have a question though, how are the axles constrained from side to side movement? tim
  16. I actually started a topic similar to this several years ago: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=57658&hl= tim
  17. I love that it is all black, well done. tim
  18. Dont give up! The proportions look spot on. Cant wait to see more. tim
  19. Wow you captured the feel of the car perfectly, great looking video too. tim
  20. Oh great another Tim . Just kidding and welcome to EB. Great mechanism you have there, I actually like the speed it is at currently. tim
  21. Great looking car for such a small scale. Does it have suspension? tim
  22. Whats the point of owning something and not using it . Seriously though looking forward to seeing more progress. How are you going to cover the rear? tim
  23. Anti roll bar at that scale is a little crazy, but also very cool. What type of suspension does the real car have in front and back? tim
  24. The sheer size of the boom is very impressive. With so much weight I wonder if the chassis will be able to hold it all up! Also the steering system looks a little weak for the weight. Regardless I look forward to seeing the finished product. tim
  25. Wow, just amazing shapes on the body work. I have a question about how it drives though. Are both the L and xl motors activated at the same time? I would think that since the L motors have less torque than the xl, if the car encounters a bump the xl will make the L motors spin instead of the wheels. I hope my question was clear, as I am very interested in the answer! tim
