  1. for photos you can make an account for example at flickr and link them here. they automatically embed
  2. probably this: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?S=704-1#T=S&O={"iconly":0}
  3. continuing with my series on the mariazellerbahn here is the 5090 diesel train which was used on a branchline of the mariazellerbahn, the "krumpe" and is used on the lower portion of the mariazellerbahn. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Waldviertel_schmalspur_02.jpg#/media/Datei:Waldviertel_schmalspur_02.jpg i am not entirely happy with this one. it is missing some roof detailing.
  4. looks awesome! good job integrating it into the built. i have now finished my himmelstreppe: i have built the front like this. it is not 100% prototypical but i can live with it. here is the complete train: as always the studio files can be found in the link in my signature! hope you like it.
  5. true that. only look at fxbricks fxtracks system.
  6. why would you offend anyone? you clearly state reasons. i am fine with that. as far as why lego discontinued 9v i know that it was a cost reason i more just wanted to highlight how stupid the safety rules/regulations are and can be. that is also why i picked the us plug as an example.
  7. this is what i ment with stupid. back in the old days if you fell off a bicycle you didnt look for who to sue generally if it was clearly your own fault. dont get me wrong guys some safety innovations make sense and i generally am all for improving safety (for example airbags and seatbelts in cars) but you always can go to far with it. eliminating 9v conductive rails for "safety" is one of these cases in my opinion.
  8. can you explain why us plugs still have fully metal prongs then? if you plug them in halfway you get contact AND are able to touch 120v mains voltage directly with your fingers. on voltages higher than like 50 or so volts i can understand but on 9v? no! the thing is people are just utterely stupid nowadays and have absolutely zero common sense.
  9. my methode is to just embed my shared folder as a network drive on my pc so seperate uploading is not needed. what you can access is also what i have created.
  10. but appearantly not easy enough because then lego would make more sets and not 2 sets every 4 years.
  11. that is true. with the methode i use (having a onedrive shared folder that i can directly edit from my pc) you can only know about my models in my signature and on flickr where i have posted the link aswell.
  12. another idea for posting model/files online is to make a shared google drive/onedrive folder that anyone can download from with zero approval needed.
  13. if there was a set with a wagon id think it would sell better than your efforts because people are more likely to buy from lego directly and an official set rather than from someone that splits sets.
  14. it would be pretty stupid of them to eliminate lugbulk as the lego shows are like free advertising for them. they would basically shoot themselves in the foot with it. but we are talking about lego company here so i wouldnt be surprised if they did.
  15. oh nooo dude! THAT i totally overread.
  16. for 469 dollars it better be made out of gold. what the hell dude? is it like apple where people just buy no matter the price?
  17. if anyone wants to do the front of my himmelstreppe the studio files are available in my signature. feel free to do so as i have no clue on how to do it.
  18. looks sooo good! i love how you managed to keep the overall look and feel of that era but incorporated some new elements
  19. i dont even have 9v track connectors to begin with. i just wedge two wires between connected sections of track.
  20. if you look at it that way yea you are correct i guess. i was comming from more of a building details in 8 wide is easier but yes you have to abstract more than you do in 8 wide so they both have their difficulties.
  21. thank you!
  22. made some minor adjustments to the middle car: and started work on the conductors car but i am not finished yet. end design is never my strongpoint to be honest.
  23. the upside down building was necessary in order to make the wheels dissapear by the use of upside down panels. i experimented with articulating wheels but they never looked quite good as they need space to articulate and there isnt any in this model. i doubt this could go around r24 curves because of it. if you tracks from someone like trixbricks.eu with wider radii you could get this to work just fine. but it is more of a display model anyways and something to challenge myself as i love to fit way to much stuff and detail in a way to small package. that is the fun for me. building giant 8 wide models - everyone can do that. but building 4 wide small models? thats another art by itself
