  1. and now i am done with doing all the things you guys suggested. first is the one @Sven J suggested with the tiles: the solution for adding the vents is very clever. i like it from a building technique standpoint alone. next up is the version @zephyr1934 suggested: simple but good looking too. and finally here is what i came up with which is a mod of zephyrs version: as the vents on the prototype go upwards i did the same. had do redo the mounting for the handrail. let me know what version you think looks best. looking forward to your suggestions!
  2. true now that i look at it again. great find!
  3. should work. thank you!
  4. intetesting. i would change it to all black maybe but if it is prototypical then it is fine that way.
  5. this one is a gorgeous locomotive and the wagons are awesome and skillfully built aswell especially in this large scale where you have to pack in every detail or it would look weird. very nice work. as you may know i think we are pretty much the opposite when it comes to scale. in fact i think your rear bogie alone may be larger than most of my recent mocs. the only thing id change is the routing of the wires for the front leds to be less visible but that is nitpicking at this point. other than that it is just perfect.
  6. @zephyr1934 i now see what you mean with the headlight bricks for the vents. clever! that could look very good.
  7. thank you! now the only thing left are the vents...but thats a thing i will worry about tomorrow.
  8. version 3 is here along with it come new and improved buffers:
  9. suggestions are always welcome! that is the beauty of a community. if i didnt want commentary i wouldnt have posted it here.
  10. thanks!
  11. and another shunting tractor: this time one that has been built by converting a felbahn loco to normal gauge: and here is the model: there are varios ones that exist and are built in this way. i just mixed a bunch of them together until it looked good. hope you like it!
  12. looks quite good. in terms of links everyone uses an external hoster (most use flickr) as the internal hosting isnt ment for that.

    google car

well they wanted to make it cute and look harmless to appeal to the public and a vw beetle is exactly that (not the new beetle that is awful as a car in my opinion, a more expensive vw golf).
  14. i made the changes. here it is but i went for a small antenna instead of the 3l rigid hose. looks better than a bar. ofcourse it is only the black vent one because i too think that this looks better.
  15. it is a 4. i will change it to a 3. the black also looks better in my opinion.
  16. After my last endevour with the breuer here is another little shunting tractor: the swiss ta shunting tractor. it used electromagnets to pull the wagons to allow a single operator to shunt wagons without any other people required. anyhow here is the real thing: as you can see the electromagnets where in the buffers where the wires are attached. here is my model, i have made two versions because i wasnt shure if i should make the vents for the batteries black or trans clear here is the trans clear version: and here is the version with black vents: hope you like this model!

have you ever seen the cute autonomus car prototype google makes? well if you havent here is a picture of the original: and here is my model: alternate version: i am not entirely happy with it. the windshield isnt perfect. hope you like it anyways!
  18. one takes power from the rails, to power a dcc decoder (the rails always have voltage running through them in this case) and the other one is the dc motors power input.
  19. they are used as normal headlights. on the front all three lights are lit (two bottom ones and the top one) on the back the lights are red but only the bottom two are lit. for more info search "Dreilicht-Spitzensignal". why it doesnt have the rear lights i dont know. they must have been forgotten because the mounts for them are there.
  20. looks nice!
  21. thanks guys. i wanted to recreate the picture with lego bricks.
