  1. Despite this not really meeting the full expected basic functions criteria due to it's scale, i still think it looks really cool.
  2. This is really interesting. It's real cool seeing those classic technic beams put to use. It has a real charm to it, and i'm looking forward to seeing the finished result.
  3. Thanks Jurss. If you hadn't kindly pointed out the inherent flaw in the construction to begin with, i wouldn't have discovered it until i started adding weight on top of the platform/chassis. I'd personally like to go with an electric powertrain, as it would be fairly easy, but for this contest we need to display some working mechanisms, so i will be attempting an engine of some kind. Please ignore the skateboard title, if you click on the pics. It was just a working tag line.
  4. This is really cool man. It's like i'm watching a biker build off between OCC and another cool custom bike shop, (Fox bike entry). Both are awesomely themed and well integrated into the design. Both equally unique and cool.
  5. I think this is the most realistic looking bike entry so far. It really is impressive and the colourway really suits it. Has a really convincing race bike look.
  6. Man this hurts my brain in trying to figure out what everything is doing, (i mean that in the best possible way). It really is impressive in it's complexity with all those functions. Can't wait to see the finished build. Looking really good.
  7. This is going in a really nice direction. Very logical too, to have the chain routed down the fork. Looks like it's going to be very sturdy and strong too.
  8. Really digging the fox theme. I must admit though, i wasn't too keen on the angle of the headlight/nose fairing when i first saw it, but now the 2 pieces of the frame are connected, it really does work well.
  9. This is looking pretty cool so far. I hear you on the challenges of having a single front swing arm, that includes steering suspension and strength. I'm looking forward to see how you progress that idea though.
  10. I'm not 100% sure how i'm going to configure and style my bike, so i may do a little sketching next. I am a bit gutted though that the contest rules are fairly strict, as i came across a sketch i did around 6 years ago, and i'd love to bring it to life in Technic. I'm guessing it easily falls into the category of being a trike. But personally I'd like to class it as a stand up carving/skating bike suit.
  11. Thank you Gray Gear. You're probably right in regards to its fragility. Hopefully i'll be able to make it a little more robust, as the build progresses. Thanks Lakop. I found the centre steering hub a bit of a head-scratcher, but i'm hoping it works in real brick. Thank you Seasider. It's good to hear i won't be the only one using digital builds initially. Have to admit though, i'm still trying to get use to using Stud.io after using LDD for most of my builds. Have (hopefully) made the wheel arms stronger/sturdier now than before. But as with everything, i'll only know for sure once i get the parts and start building. I'm also toying with the idea of having a detachable tilting sidecar, to add a bit more playability. As i doubt i'll venture beyond having a fake engine, suspension and gearbox as working functions. (updated pic showing the new arms) :
  12. Thanks Jurss. I would ask you to elaborate, but i presume you're referring to the grey piece at the very most centre of the hub. I too fear it may not be up to the job, but i'll have to see when the necessary parts come in. If it doesn't work, i'm afraid i currently don't have any other solution that comes to mind. [EDIT] Oh i think you're probably referring to the black angled connectors as well, aren't you. If so, i think you could be right, as any downward force does look like it'll force them apart. Back to the drawing board i guess. Thanks for bringing the issue to my attention.
  13. Thank you JintaiZ. I'm going with that colour scheme as I've recently bought the Ducati set. So mainly black and red will feature as i don't have any other colour technic panels at my disposal.
  14. This will be my first contest entry on EB, and to be quite brutally honest, i'm far from being technically minded, so i'm kind of out of my depth really. Decided to go with a Cyberpunk/Akira style futuristic concept bike, though i doubt it will be nearly as sophisticated or have as many features as many other entries do. So far all it's got is central hub steering at the front, (at the moment the rear echoes the front, but will be changed to something more conventional). I understand that digital entries aren't allowed, so please forgive the digital renders i'm currently showing. I will be building in brick once I've acquired a few more technic parts. Thanks for viewing.
  15. I'm with you on that DoB! Those two cars look fantastic! Had a little mess about with one of the cars on my wish list: MK1 Ford Escort RS1600:
  16. Thanks Digger of Bricks! And yes, a GM Futureliner and two Motorama concept cars would be the perfect combo!! It could make a very cool retro flavoured GM set for sure!!
  17. Have just had a brief look at your amazing models! There's not one single model I've come across that I don't like. Stunning work!
  18. fantastic moc! It works so well! It has a certain period look that suits the era so well.
  19. This looks great Daanski! Nice improvement!
  20. These look great! Baron Von Barron and Captain Redbeard, have to be my favourite cars.
  21. That indeed would be amazing! Would be awesome if they could do the GM Futureliner too!
  22. Great topic @Digger of Bricks Here's my list of what I'd like to see Lego introduce: 1. Nissan Skyline R32 (in gunmetal or black), or a Datsun 240Z in rally livery Or a 2015 Nissan GT-R LM Nismo. 2. Peugeot 205 rally car, (fingers crossed that awesome Lego Ideas submission will get the green light). 3. James Bond Lotus Esprit S1. 4. 1999 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Le Mans, (I think it would go well with the Ferrari F40). Or an Aston Martin Valkyrie. 5. Porsche 928, or a Porsche 935/78 (Moby Dick). 6. 1992 Honda NSX Type R, or A Honda S2000, (although a 5 wide S600 would look great!). 7. Mercedes 300SL (W198), or a Mercedes 230SL (W113), for a classic take. Plus it would be nice if it was to sell as a set alongside a Mercedes Project ONE. 8. 1971 Ford Transit MK1 Supervan, alongside (or towing) a Ford MK1 Escort RS 1600, (both with bubble arches). 9. Ferrari 288 GTO, or Ferrari Testarossa. 10. 1976 Tyrrell P34. Or a 1975 Brabham BT44, or a 1978 Brabham BT46, (Fan car). If I was living in fantasy world, I'd love to see some of my own creations produced as Speed Champions sets. I won a Lego Rebrick Speed champions contest back in 2017, with my interpretation of a future Mercedes F1 car: Of course, it would naturally need some competitors: To go with the futuristic (electric) Mercedes F1 car, I've recently been messing about in the LDD, trying to come up with a team transporter for it. It's a really early stage WIP, but hopefully it gives an idea of what I'm thinking.
  23. Decided to change the title up top, so I can add more vehicles but still keep it in one place. My interpretation of some soap-box racers.
  24. Thanks Flossie! No they don't fit in the coaches current form (length wise), but have done a quick fix to the coach below. It still needs refining (maybe adjustments to the wheel base spacing and window spacing), but mocked up the build instructions for the Mini's, and although I couldn't properly recreate them in the LDD, the new cars now fit inside. Thanks Daanski! Thanks for your thoughts on the subject, J4ck. You could be right! I think if I do submit it though, it'll just be the coach then probably mention it's compatible with the Lego official Mini. Indeed, it's really only a matter of time. I'd love to do my iteration based on the Lego Mini, but I'm limited to a digital moc at the moment, as I just can't afford the actual set to build with. Fantastic Ghostbusters Mini mod, by the way koalayummies! Looks amazing!
  25. Absolutely awesome collection of vehicles De-Marco! My personal favourites have to be Christine and the Monster truck, but all of the others are top class too!
