  1. Maybe a limit in how much motors you can use, e.g. just 1 or 2 motors? This keeps the size of the MOC down and sparks even more creativity to power more functions with one motor. A video or gif should be mandatory to see the transformation action.
  2. Are we talking 'bout Transformers like vehicles with automated transformations? Ok, this is really huge
  3. An idea came to my mind while seeing the crisis of less and less truckers available. I remembered that in the movie 'Logan', autonomous trucks roamed the highways: How about a Contest for creating autonomous machinery, maybe even using PU as there are now motors, control units and many apps available? Could be everything from construction machinery (like the 42081 Volvo Zeux), autonomous tractors to autonomous personal carrier, where you can imagine a complete new layout without a combustion engine.
  4. I'd hope at least they mean the word "telescopic" literally and use the arm of the 8270 (part count 106):
  5. Thanks @Maaboo35 and @suffocation! The goal is to cramp some interior in it, so hopefully there will be enough fo it left. The first functional test with a Control+ battery box on top really exceeded my expectations, nearly no power loss / speed change in loaded and unloaded condition. This thing easily climbed the pillowed hills of sofa mountain, even with that puny 2WD :D The rear hitch can pull the tractor in the air both ways (raising front part and lifting rear part). Can't wait for the Buwizz :-)
  6. Hey guys, as I have a fondness for older tractors, I again started with one from the former GDR, the Fortschritt ZT 320. As soon as I got my hands on olive coloured panels from the 42110, this was the first thing agricultural vehicle I could think of. There are different variants of the tractor but I settled with the 2WD-type as wheels sizes for the 4WD just didn't match. With 107 tires in the back, the 56 were too small, and the newer 81 too big (check Fortschritt ZT 323 for a 4WD variant). Planned functions are basic and all driven by PU L-motors: - Drive - Steering - rear PTO - rear hitch As there was no elegant way to implement a Control+ Battery Box in the hood, I changed to a Buwizz 3, and now waiting for delivery of this thingy. In the real machine, the pillars of the cabin are angled forwards and slighty inwards to the top. I tried different setups and also openable doors but just ended with wobbly constructions. So I ditched one angle and the doors and now planning to do it in this manner. I really hope for a 3x7x1 panel in white in the 2022 models :D Sadly, there was no elegant way to make the hood a little narrower, so it's like 1 stud too wide, but the overall look I think doesn't suffer from this, at it now has a more beefier look, which matches the wide rear tires (most types of ZT 320 had way narrower tires btw, the upper pic is an odd one). Input is highly welcomed :-)
  7. @SNIPE Looks more like 3 x 3&4 x 5 to me: Still, the pricings sounds reasonable for a Control+ set with 700+ pieces. Promobricks mods speculated in a video about using the "moving hub" with 2 integrated motors: https://www.lego.com/de-de/product/move-hub-88006
  8. This sparks joy to a textile engineers mind :D
  9. The reason for @Gray Gear comments were not meant rude, even if the choice of words were rather harsh ;-) The thing is, that Lego Technic should represent real mechanism the best way with the given pieces. Just google "three-point hitch" or even the german word "dreipunkt-kraftheber" and search for pics and try to understand the mechanism. There are multiple solutions, many can be done with Lego parts. Then compare them to the needed attachement points for the 42054's mechanism. If you have more troubles, just post em here. Happy building :-)
  10. What a great B-Model! Looks and worksbetter than the A-model :D
  11. The Timber truck is really great! Can you show the functions of the arm?
  12. Ah oki, I should have checked not only the first pic of the google search :D them surely they use the smaller tractor tires for this, could be a cool little model :-)
  13. Could be a cool set with the newer small tractor tires :-)
  14. Dito. I would have expected at least 1 model from this first wave with the newer tractor tires (small or medium ones). If there is no Agricultural vehicle in the second wave, I'll start crying build them myself :D For 30€, I wonder how they include tracks and a trailer...?
  15. Looks way better than the sticker solution! Well done :-)
  16. Very well said. In my opinion, TLG had a big problem with this model: The 42111 Dodge has the same "body language" as this 42127 Batmobil. They already tried to model the body of the 42111 shoulderline with panels and the wheel arches with liftarms which kind of worked. A repeat of this technique however, was out of question for a car with nearly the same shape, colour and size. The recognisability of this Batmobil however (same as the Charger) relies heavily on the sharp shoulder line. The one thing they got right is the sharp front end.
  17. Looks like a third party remake of a real Lego Technic car. Sure nice parts pack, but where is the technic aspect?
  18. What a great work! Your selection of pieces really makes this thing unique 🙂 The fender, front axle construction and also the valves are great!
  19. Oh man, I was so sure, CAT is 42130...? Nevermind. If the newer list is the real one, I am more than disappointed. Except the small Telehandler we again get racing stuff... only the "Transformation Vehicle" sounds interesting. Could be also a nice theme for the next Technic Challenge :D
  20. It's a shame such a thing occurs not only on some but on all pins. I hope Lego will do something very soon with this quality issue, let alone the colour problem.
  21. Doesn't make sense at all if you'd ask me. Also the 42130 is already in sale... Let's wait for promobricks take. Yes please. We didn't get the 62.4 wheels since 2018...
  22. Incredible work considering the limited amout of parts!
  23. Looks very promising! Although the friction-less-pins always makes me worry for stability. Good idea to counter this with the panhard rod. :-) For my current (side-)project of an older tractor, I tinkered on a steered, oscillating, non-driven front axle and came up with this: Ackermann-geometry and really good steering angle. On a side note: Can anybody tell me, if the newer CV joints () have a better angle ability in contrast to the older one?
  24. Dito. I mostly wait for infos from promobricks at these have been very reliable source. Definetely also my favorite model. I am currently working on a tractor with the 107 tractor wheels on the back. I will land in at about 800 pieces, so I hope we will have some sort of plow, harrow or tedder as an attachement :-)
