  1. I don't agree. It is not exactly the same, but it consists of one liftarm being the outrigger, and two liftarms providing leverage, with the upper one being the one that controls the movement. To me that looks pretty much the same as yours and the Unimog's
  2. Well, Lego has done it before in 8071. The underlying principle of the mechanism is exactly the same as yours and as in the Unimog. See instructions page 8 of this booklet: https://www.lego.com/cdn/product-assets/product.bi.core.pdf/4646324.pdf
  3. This looks like a cool long term project. I was thinking to maybe build the dock out of wood or something? It would save a lot of money and would keep the same playability. The major drawback is of course it not being Lego...
  4. Nice model! I have one remark: the window on the side is shaped a bit weird... I think it has to do with the thick liftarm on top. Maybe it would be better as a thin liftarm if that's possible
  5. The judge rules: solid enough! Thanks for the video's, it looks more fragile than it is. Very good work!
  6. This is a very very impressive model! Is the bodywork strong enough to endure some lifting and moving around?
  7. In bricksafe there is an option to open the fotos in a smaller resolution. Click on that, copy the link and paste it here.
  8. I can't be the only one who loves the long updates, can I? Anyway, keep building (and posting)
  9. This build has a strong "waste disposal vehicle for city centers" idea to it. Love it so far and I am curious to see where this will end!
  10. Nice model! I actually like the tractor tires better, but yeah, contest rules...
  11. That Mercedes looks very good! I also like the colour. It probably looks so good because the shape is so much easier to replicate in Lego than the less boxy cars
  12. Pneumatic backhoe would be amazing, but I would prefer it to be somewhere round 2500 pieces. Little more affordable. It would make it a LOT harder to design though, as allanp has described above. Anyway, this 2024 wave isn't for me, so just waiting for next technic year!
  13. Backhoe loader seems to be the holy grail of technic
  14. I don't know if the model number is definitive for the Lego set, but the electric version is called G580, so that would mean this isn't the EV. Saw a video about the offroad capabilities of the electric one and it is quite impressive! (especially the Gturn :) )
