Nice diorama and excellent posing on IG-11 too. -
Wow, that's awesome! And here I thought British Railways had a tight loading gauge!

@koalayummies "Cool" technique for brick-built penguins! (Pun intended!)

If you wnt to build in the style of the 1980s, the 7777 Ideas Book might give you some inspiration.
-
The building looks good and I especially like the design for the sign. I think your bookstore looks better than the recently revealed modular set!

1/8-inch nylon tubing (3.17mm, a bit closer to Lego's own 3.2mm flex tube) would probably fit better in clips and is available in bulk from Grainger and other suppliers.

Wow, that's a huge and nice looking crane! The name is very fitting!

There are two main ways to go about it: 1 - Be born into a wealthy family. 2 - Marry into a wealthy family. I'm going to have to work on the second option if I'm ever going to ballast more than a circle of track.

Nice! As much as I like the steamers, that diesel is definitely a good fit for a maintenance-of-way train! -
Ideas for new Lego City Adventures Characters

Ok, I'll bite. As an engineer, I'd like to see a Lego character representing my profession. I know design engineers aren't usually associated with adventure, but a forensic engineer could be a cool character - he could work with the police using physics (mass of cars, length of skid marks, etc.) to determine who was at fault in a collision. It might make STEM careers more interesting to kids too.- 27 replies

@LEGO Train 12 Volts Thanks! I'm pretty much forced to use plates for the roof since I don't have that many slopes. And I think I got the last black dog at the local Lego store's BAM tower!

@zephyr1934 Thanks! I've added another building to the layout - there are more pictures of the Reformation Pub over in the town forum.
-
I don't venture into the town forum that much, but I thought I'd share some detail shots of the latest addition to my Christmas Layout. The Reformation Pub is my first attempt at a small "semi-modular"-style building. I've given it at least some interior on each floor, with a removable second story and an opening roof. This fellow has clearly had too much! The sign is a bit of an inside joke...many reformed theologians are quite fond of fermentation! The first floor contains a kitchen, a table for two, a fireplace, and a stairway. The second floor contains guest quarters with a second fireplace, bed, tables, and a water closet. The back of the building: In place in the Christmas layout: Thanks for looking - comments and criticisms welcome! Soli Deo Gloria

Wow, what an amazing build! My favorite part is the shooting range.
-
Looking good! It's refreshing to finally see a space-themed train that isn't a monorail.
-
Wow, great representation of the original, and nice job getting all the motor parts to fit inside!

@Max_Bricks Thank you!
