  1. @ZordrakLordofknightmares Not sure if it's within the range of what you're talking about, but something supernatural happened to me and it's described in this passage from the book of Ephesians. I haven't been the same since!
  2. I love it! A nice build and very nostalgic.
  3. @LEGO Train 12 Volts Thank you!
  4. I touched upon this in another topic, but essentially my thoughts on this are that Lego does not know what kids want. Kids enlarge do not know what they want either. That's why toy adverts (commercials) exist - to show them what they should want and ask their parents for. Adding to the difficulty is that Uncle George and Aunt Susan often buy children sets that they didn't ask for and don't want, so the sets that sell and the sets children want are not always necessarily the same. Of course, if their parents have taught them even the most basic manners, they will simply say "thank you" for the unwanted set and use it as a parts pack!
  5. It's just backwards...the author of the review mentioned it in one of the comments.
  6. @Roadmonkeytj Thanks, and good suggestion! I've used up all my tan and brown plates, but I think I'll try to rearrange a few for that kind of effect!
  7. Wow, that's awesome - I bet a ship like that would fly backward with every shot! Love the greebling on the railgun!
  8. @carebear Thanks! While trying to think of the best parts to use for it, Isaiah 2:4 came to mind! ;)
  9. It's almost that time of year again...time to bust some clods! I've been experimenting with different designs for a horse-drawn plow, and this is what I finally settled on. The field is just filler in my railway layout using whatever green and tan plates I had left. C&C welcome! Soli Deo Gloria
  10. @Brandon Pea I suspect it may be that modern rapid transit-style trains aren't that visually interesting, but I might be a bit biased...if it isn't steam powered, it doesn't interest me! I guess more modern-looking trains like you've mentioned would be a better fit with City, though.
  11. As always, a beautiful and well-detailed model! Keep up the good work!
  12. The 100kb is only meant for your profile picture. Other pictures should be linked from a third-party image hosting site like Flickr or Bricksafe. Here's a tutorial: Flickr Tutorial
  13. Green Darth Vader...head of the Imperial Recycling Bureau!
  14. Nice and nostalgic! Keep up the good work!
  15. Very nice station! Does the franchise in question feature a certain cheeky little engine?
  16. The key is using the parts to build a MOC of a charity like, say, a homeless shelter. That way, when your wife asks you what the 600€ is for, you can honestly say it's for the homeless shelter!
  17. Wow, the locomotive is great by itself, but the coaches really set it apart! Any chance we could see a video of it running?
  18. @Murdoch17 @Fingolfin Just a heads up, I've discovered since the last post that my coaches as originally designed have trouble negotiating points and s-curves. I moved the wheelsets inward so that there are 6 studs in between them and that solved the problem. It looks like you might have already done this in the digital design; if so, you should be good to go. I may try to implement passive steering in the next few days to allow for a longer wheelbase.
  19. Nice! I love the expression you chose for McKay, Sheppard's hairpiece, and the technique for the DHD. The crystal piece works well as a ZPM...I mean "Zed PM!"
  20. Fantastic MOC - great job on the valve gear!
  21. @SteamSewnEmpire I would 100% buy a set based on any one of those three ideas.
  22. @Murdoch17 Go for it! Thanks for asking.
  23. Wow wow wow...just fantastic. Those minifig hats are the perfect size and shape for buffers!
  24. @LEGO Train 12 Volts @Roadmonkeytj Thank you!
  25. Great rendition of a classic locomotive!
