With the widthdrawl of the Empire from Yag'duhl, the Givin set to reopening their orbital yards. One of the first products of the new Yag'duhl Spaceworks was the M-wing interceptor, a replacement for the aging Cloakshapes and Headhunters that had been hidden in caves and grottos on the planet's surface during the occupation. With missiles heavily restricted under the New Republic, engineers instead turned to a heavy ion cannon to provide an anti-shipping punch, backed with a pair of laser cannons and a pair of rapid-fire blaster cannons. The fuselage betrays the designer's collaboration with Koensayr designers; the flat wedge recalling the K-wing and iconic Y-wing cockpits. A heavy ion cannon and twin blaster cannons are housed in the nose, while laser cannons are mounted in the wings. While the M-wing is typically stored on racks, much like the TIE series, small landing gear in the engine housings allow it to put down anywhere in a pinch. Fractal Squadron takes advantage of this capability when they are attached to the New Republic Third Fleet. Vectored thrust rings around the Incom fusion engines allow for incredible feats of maneuverability. Combined with the Givin pilot's innate talents for mathematics, these interceptors can often outperform theoretically superior ships.

I vote for @LM71Blackbird. Lovely ship, very fitting to the period. The colorwork with the 2x2 45 tiles really sells it. Honorable mentions to @Ross Fisher and @LegacyBuilder - also great builds and stories!

Thanks! The saddlebags are Part 749, Fabuland as you guessed. They were used on the motorcycles and bakkies and come in black, earth orange, and white. Careful framing has kept the bar holders on them just out of sight.

Jean de la Fac strode through the gate of the Corrish border town, leading his pack horse. The single guard, though well equipped, merely grunted at Jean from where he leaned against the wall. Enthusiasm for any sort of conflict, even the casual bullying of border merchants that had been so popular before the war, was obviously in short supply. Had the guard looked in the disguised nobleman's pack saddle, he would have found more than fine thread and dyes. Buried in the bottom was gold - gold that would bribe Corrish nobles, buy arms and horses, and pay for mercenaries. Gold that was heading for the Tamish clans, by way of an agent Jean was to meet in this town.

Across the frigid tundra of Tauber, a jockey and his native mount train for the Canto-Key Derby. An employee of the NeuroSaav corporation, Tur C'otte has been riding tauntauns almost as long as he's been assigned to the Tauber facility - nearly 20 years. His mount, a sorrel gelding named Dicastery, bounds over the lichen-encrusted surface, claws digging in for grip. Tauntauns are deceptively fast, but their real strength lies in their endurance - their muscular legs propelling them effortlessly in a loping stride for dozens of kilometers in a day. Steady mounts, they are unlikely to make a reckless leap or risk becoming unbalanced unless a predator is at their heels. Most tack for tauntauns is modeled after what the Rebels used on Hoth, but C'otte had a custom set made in Republic Blue - much lighter than the military saddles.

One of the newest FreiTek products, the E-wing escort starfighter joins the ranks of the New Republic Third Fleet. While unlikely to replace the venerable X-wing, these fighters are far more affordable for local forces. The engines actually light up!
