I was under the impression that the people enrolled in the service, would vote on what set or sets they would like to see from the retired list. Then the most popular one or ones would be remade and made available for purchase. I really don't think the entire back catalog of sets will actually be available. Also imagine choices will be somewhat limited to vote for, highly unlikely every single set will be available to vote on.

Nicely done, I think you pulled it off, looks good. Another thumbs up for using the wheel hub, is that an original idea, I guess I have never paid enough attention to other helicopter mocs and it could be common practice. First time I've noticed it though and think it is a great idea. Feel like we are about due for another big Technic Helicopter, been awhile.

I see too that is a relatively new design for that machine as well and I have seen many booms that have articulation, just not that model Lieber. See them a lot on specialized machines. -
Lego City 2022 Rumours, Leaks, Information And Discussion

Who can know for sure, it very well could be there simply aren't enough pieces in that color. Although regular yellow makes the most sense to me. -
General Part Discussion
Johnny1360 replied to Polo-Freak's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Well I'll be dogged, I can confirm, the new black pins do indeed bow, ever so slightly. Now I know why I sometimes can't easily connect liftarms, in my mocs. I always line the slots up so they are parallel with the liftarm, why because I'm anal, what can I say. Since the groove on the pin is 90° from the slots, all my pins either bow the same way or exactly opposite from each other, which is where my problem lies. Makes it slightly more difficult to connect another lift arm and I have really noticed it since the new pins have been appearing. Here I just thought I was crazy. Thanks now I will really have to pay attention to my pin orientation disorder, lol. Maybe I should just go back to just randomly orientating my pins when I build. Still I find this more than just a little irritating, shame, shame LEGO. Hopefully there is an actual reason or purpose for the pins to all bow that way, or it is just unavoidable, hmm.- 5,509 replies

Damn you have the worst luck, curious, is this a visible defect or do you have to closely examine it to notice the problem. I only ask because I have not noticed this and I have been carefully scrutinizing all my black pins, since you fist mentioned it.- 5,509 replies

I bet you are right about that, this is a very small, simple build and I doubt it has a lot going on. Still it is good enough for me and I look forward to picking it up after release. The way things have been lately though, availability may be an issue, hopefully things get back to semi-normal after the holidays. Would have been a great opportunity for LEGO to introduce a new corner piece for the panels on the trailer, like the one Efferman created, as per the General Part Discussion thread.

[MOC] Liebherr R 936 Compact

Looks pretty good, I do think the boom could use some work though, should only be three points of articulation, instead of four. I see many build them this way, however it is not how the real machine works. Usually that first part of the boom is much more massive and curved a bit, which is where all the digging power comes from. It also looks like the cabin may be a bit to large, while the back part maybe should be a bit longer. It also looks like the treads stick out to far in the front as well but it could just be the view angle. Anyway not trying to be super critical about it, just don't like that it is modeled after a specific machine yet so many dimensions are way off. Good job cramming all those motors in there, it looks like a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing this. -

It would be nice to see it out of water ad well, especially the aft area. -
Three Wheeled Loader Idea
Johnny1360 replied to weavil's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
While this set up may have some use somewhere, as a loader it looks very spindly and unless it is loading styrofoam pellets, it would have a tendency to flip over with a heavily loaded bucket. Still an interesting idea, just doesn't look like a very stable platform for quickly loading trucks.- 14 replies

Yes very impressive, love the ice breaking feature, on the front. Although it would not be good if it got locked in the ice and you have to wait for ice melt, to retrieve ship. -
Displaying Larger Sets in a Small Space?
Johnny1360 replied to shadefoundry's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Glad you found a solution, as someone that lives in a less than 400sq. foot apartment, I feel your pain. All my LEGO is displayed with very little space in between sets, actually crammed together so the are touching each other. I use a lot of wall mounted shelves, that require no floor space. As such I tend to store many sets and occasionally rotate between storage and display. Still wondering what the hell I am going to do with my most recent purchase though, the Passenger Train, lol. -
Looks very good, I can't believe when I first looked at this, yesterday, I totally missed seeing Krampus up on the roof, lol. Amazing detail and a very "clean" well thought out creation. Thanks for sharing it. The lighting is the icing on the cake, really makes the house pop. Does the entire upper level lift off of the lower section?

As cool as it would be, my gut feeling is it will never happen but who knows, I do think it would be hard to realize actual subject matter in LEGO form from the movie and it would end up being all about the mini-figures then.

Lol, yeah, really should, many of my friends say the same thing. -
I would think you would have a better case with misrepresentation of actual performance, like how they show the recent buggy zooming over little hills, while in reality it's snail's pace performance is laughable at best. Colors being off seems like really more nit-picking, to me, although I could see how it could be a little grievous, with products other than toys. Then there is always the, "Contents of box may not match picture on box exactly" excuse, most companies usually pen on the box somewhere.

Thinking a little more about it, I guess if it is like I think and there is no mechanism, then when it climbs the wall, wouldn't the bottom section drop thru and stick out of the bottom, before it actually stands up against the wall. It is clearly not like that in the little picture. And yes, I definitely see rubber pegs in those treads, always glad to get more of those, I really do need to break done and just buy some already, lol.

I find no joy in digital building, even though I enjoy a good video game. Also don't care much for taking pictures of mocs, and have zero interest in making videos or instructions. Perhaps because I am a relic of a bygone era. Give me a box of bricks though and I can entertain myself for hours, while all my problems temporarily go by the wayside.
