  1. Good to finally have that cleared up after 6 years, lol.
  2. Makes me think now I should have grabbed it when I had the chance to, found it two days ago at Target, here in the Midwest USA. I have a feeling it will be very popular. In fact I think I will go get it right now, thanks for planting that seed, lol.
  3. A real beauty there, looks great and with all the things I really like about it, my favorite part, is the usage of the Technic bricks for the loader arm, not even sure why, lol.
  4. Not sure if you are the main shopper of your household or not but if you have been to any store since Jan. 1, you will know they don't need a 10 speed transmission to justify a price hike, lol.
  5. That is my plan as well, will be interesting to see what you come up with.
  6. Cool, do you mean to say Buckminsterfullerene? Lol, I have always wanted to work that word into a conversation.
  7. Picked up the crane, didn't really expect much from it as cranes at this scale generally are lacking. However I was pleasantly surprised, good parts selection, good looks, fits into City perfectly and is actually fun to build, really impressed with the way they did the outriggers. This is a decent set and I recommend it to anyone looking to add more construction vehicles to their City. Of course many will think it cost too much, unfortunately that seems to be the norm in this day and time. Still I think this is a great set and I will likely buy a second one, when it is on sale.
  8. Yes, need I say more, lol.
  9. Nice little, well thought out build, like what you have done there. Tractor looks pretty damn good as well.
  10. Yes, they are actually quite common now, in a pinch you can also wrap a small piece of tin foil around your finger. Not sure I would want to do that though, might scratch your screen up a bit.
  11. Wish I could figure out how to delete quote boxes, lol, please disregard. I pretty much have the same issues with the new Pup system as others, cost and having to jump through hoops to get haptic feedback. Still it is definitely a step in the right direction, wasn't so long ago people endlessly bemoaned the shortcomings of PF. Now it seems those same people wish it was still being used and there was no Pup. I really would like to see a controller come with the set, while having the option to use a smart device as well, I would also appreciate being able to say so without being harshly criticized, it is actually a bit amusing how people react to others opinions, by calling them out and putting them down for simply expressing their point of view. I don't care what anyone says, I am buying this set and I will have no regrets doing so, lol.
  12. Your well written post has convinced me to get this set, before I was on the fence, thanks.
  13. You just need to make a few more posts, before you can message, not sure exactly how many but the number is small, like ten or so. Also I think posts in community, do not apply to post count, so keep that in mind too. As for uploading pictures you have to use an external site and link to it to post pictures.
  14. Yes I have noticed instructions like that before as well, with the progress bar, don't really remember which set or sets though, lol.
  15. Looks spectacular, if I was to change anything it would be those Technic pieces on the locomotive but I still think it is great as is. I do think that LEGO would probably downsize the whole train drastically, which would be a bit disappointing especially if it involved changing the loco. Good luck and thanks for sharing your creation.
  16. Ahh, good to know, thanks, can't believe I didn't know this already though, lol.
  17. Agree that ads would likely be the best route to keep the site up and running, as much as I also hate all those banners and pop ups, it seems like the best alternative here. Although I don't visit Brickset near as much as I used to, for that very reason, lol. We do have some very knowledgeable people here that are always more than willing to help out and it's kind of fun trying to figure out, what's what. I can see where something like what you have going could be a huge help for people with many random pieces that need identification. Although it would have to be dirt cheap for me to actually use it. I mean I would really hate to shell out $10 or $20 bucks after a few dozen searches.
  18. Please ignore, lol. I always thought the issue got worse with speed.
  19. I have been trying to overcome that limitation by simply buying all the LEGO bricks possible, lol.
  20. Fantastic piece and one I feel LEGO really should have, at least something very similar. Would be extremely useful.
  21. Is the new Sonic The Hedgehog set built around the same concept as Mario? Maybe possibly opening the doors for even more video game titles to be used.
  22. Kind of makes me think, City Cops raid Friends, lol.
  23. I like the one on the left better, can't even say why though. The one on the right follows the contour more closely but looks a little odd to me. I'm sure others may think just the opposite though. Very well done vehicle as well, always enjoy following and seeing where these projects end up.
  24. And Model Team now, remember. I do think this would be more in line with Speed Champions though. I get the feeling that this could be the F1 car Technic will be releasing soon.
  25. I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about or what this thing is, lol. Time to educate myself.
