  1. Great MOC! The rock-work looks very interesting but I really love the building: very nice use of the containers and the roof is well done! It would be great if you upload your inspirational MOCs on Flickr BTW.
  2. Revival by @sheo Crawler Town by @DeGobbi Welcome to the World of Tomorrow! by @Pepa Quin Some great stuff there! Thanks for sharing all these! You guys highlight amazing MOCs, keep it up!
  3. Oh man, that's fantastic! I love so many things here, I don't know where to start! The tree, the brick-built letterings, the texturing on the building, the shaping of the columns, cracked parts, the huge scale... I mean everything! This is simply incredible!
  4. That's a nice layout with some pretty interesting MOCs!
  5. Totally agree. That's an important factor to keep members active IMO. I saw that several members stopped sharing their MOCs on EB as they didn't get a lot of replies in their latest MOCs. And some of those members didn't use to make anything else but sharing their MOCs on EB. So some of them don't even visit anymore... Many thanks, that's really kind. I've been trying to let people write more and make the Town Forum more active for some time and I'm glad you think my presence is useful! You're very welcome, I need that's an important thing for the future of EB! Indeed, it would be great to have a list of Reviewers Academy's reviews! I'd also love to have a list of all members in Reviewers Academy, I don't know if that already exists. You're very welcome! I'm still surprised how serious this thread is taken! I knew EB was a great forum! It would be quite useful to see video reviews indexed! Very nice to hear you can arrange a lot mini contests and tags BTW! I'm not sure what would encourage other people to post. Personally, I find it enjoyable to write posts. I think it's the ranks which encourage me to post! One of the most active posters I saw on EB is @Digger of Bricks. Maybe he could give some of his reasons. For MOCs, I think it's enough interest and importantly some feedback. I also think it would be a huge step to make lurkers post. I know that's a stupid and a useless question but what was your name in your first account? I can't help wondering... I agree. I never thought about it, I even didn't know @LEGO Historian but checked out some of his stuff and looks really interesting. It would be great he restarts making these threads! I completely agree! I think this would be an important step as well. I personally like the topics you posted but I don't use them as I doubt the suggestions posted there are still delivered to TLG because of the lack of interest by members (except these last days). If the suggestions are still delivered or they'll start to be delivered again, you'll definitely see me there because I have a lot of recolor and a few new piece ideas! Thanks so much to whoever confirming this! Maybe I need to post this there though. What you said is quite interesting, @MAB. I agree with what you said about Ideas. Indeed, it's rather annoying that someone comes simply to promote his project. I'm totally ok with someone presenting his MOC normally with putting just one Ideas link though. Hey @Hobbes, it's nice to see you around, even for someone you didn't know but that "someone" already knew you! I came across your several posts and was thinking "another Fellow that's no longer posting... " Maybe this topic already started to have impact! Your point of view is certainly different than many others, there are things I agree and not. Anyway, hope to see you around more often! Your presence on EB will make every member happy, especially the older ones and may also bring back some other older members! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'll reply to more of you guys but in another comment, there are already plenty quotes in this one and figured out if I continue to quote people in this comment, it's going to be unreadable! I have a suggestion which would definitely attire more AFOLs here: a translate option. Only people speaking English could join here but that translate option - I think - would seriously let EB become a real international forum. What do you think about it, everyone? BTW, it's amazing to see how much this topic got interest! Please continue sharing your opinions, thoughts and suggestions, everyone! Post edited according to the comment of @Robert8
  6. Glad @Pate-keetongu shared a preview image of this pure beauty... Otherwise, I think I'd be... Pate, millions of thanks for being an incredible MOCer and Art Nouveau fan. You gave me so many ideas and inspiration to imitate the crazy shapes of it!! Striking color scheme on the Grand Hotel Masaryk! There isn't a lot of details on its façade but there's no need! The building made up with plates is one of the most original buildings I've ever seen! This is the second time ever someone made me love exposed studs! Olofslott is seriously impressive! Whole the middle section is so amazingly detailed, especially that brick-built door and the roof! The section just in left of the House of the Brick Wall is fantastic as well! The small sort of turrets add definitely a lot and I just adore the both domes! My favorite is the House of the Brick Wall! I think the biggest reason for it being my favorite is the curved section with its awe-inspiring roof! The ground floor is just fantastic! I know that my comment above don't sound coming from a person that was over-excited: that's because I waited until feeling "normal"!
  7. 6 - 1 9 - 1 12 - 1 So many amazing entries!
  8. I didn't know you much before but that's really sad to lose a member, especially just before I opened a thread about Making EB More Active... Hope to see you again one day and best wishes.
  9. Amazing vignette, nice techniques and some great parts usage! The chair and the small lamps are fantastic!

  11. I really didn't expect a such nice and detailed reply, thanks a lot! And millions of thanks to whoever (I think it's you) made this topic featured, I didn't expect this at all. Really! I was thinking that this topic could instead even be locked... Members, thanks for sharing your opinions, I'm glad to see there's some interest to this topic! I'd love to! It's a great way for EB to have more members coming only to participate in contests (as far as I see) and I think that even people joining after the deadline needs to be able to participate. It's also a great way to see a lot of amazing MOCs in a short time! I like them, they're really nice. But I agree with @mocbuild101, it would be nice to have some more info about them. I visit the Flickr page. Easy way to discover some amazing MOCs and communicate when EB is in maintenance. I haven't done any MOCs yet but I'll use Flickr as hosting platform when I start to! Definitely the town forum! I lately started to visit more forums though and I'm very glad that I started doing this as I see I missed a lot of things... Can't wait to see more replies from members and staff!
  12. Wow, that's a wonderful layout! I'm a huge fan of your style (that sort of abandoned and run-down feeling), you're so talented! I really love the textures as everybody mentioned, and the brick-built roads and the foliage are just top notch! I really like the way you integrated some official modulars with MODing them heavily as well. No need to say your MOCs are incredible... Any upcoming MOCs? Keep it up!
  13. Staff Picks of 01/05/18: ~Modular Home by @Danpb ~雅苑 by @chumuhou ~Steven Asbury Fire Station by @sasbury Congrats to all these MOCers! @Digger of Bricks, do you like functionalism architecture? Just wondering.
  14. Hi everyone, I actually have been considering to create this topic for two-three months but after noticing that we didn't have the Expand the Winter Village Contest VIII yesterday (I wasn't aware of that before), I thought it was time to create this topic. Without further ado, let me jump into it. I see that the level of activity on EB is lower than it was before. For example, the number of active members seemed to be higher; the interaction between members and also between staff and members looked more intense, more amusing and interesting discussions were going on, and people were having more fun (such as on titles). If I'm wrong and if EB is a forum that is still active as it used to be, I believe, in any case, it deserves to grow - with even more AFOLs (I do understand that every AFOL may not want/don't have time to interact but they can come only to show their MOCs). So I feel it's just the right time to take action. So, does anyone else feel the way I do and does anyone has any suggestions? Staff, I know this may a sensitive subject and you may not be ok with regular members interlope and I absolutely understand that. I just would like to help in anyway I (and other members) can, I hope you'll not be offended. I really think all the forum needs to stand together. Many thanks to all, the staff and members, for your attention, consideration and support. (@Jipay, @Bonaparte, @Hinckley, @Siegfried, @Shadows, @Rick, @Jim, @Bob De Quatre, @WhiteFang, @Fugazi, @Captain Nemo, @Clone OPatra, @CorneliusMurdock, @Brickdoctor, @Stash2Sixx, @Ecclesiastes, @ZCerberus, @Peppermint_M, @Mister Phes, @Phred, @Pandora, @JopieK, @Milan, @VBBN, @Rufus, @LuxorV, @Superkalle, @Dragonator and @CopMike) My apologies for shout-outs to each of you but I just want to draw your attention. Sincerely, LegoModularFan
  15. Oh, city is going really well these days, the hospital, this... I pretty like the hotel, the double decker bus, the caveman and the ice cream truck like everyone! It's going to be great to see some MODs of that hotel, I'm especially really happy to know that @BrickyBoy's going to MOD it as well! Did you guys see his Modular Museum very slightly based on Museum Break-in set, and Modular Bank & Apartment very slightly based on Bank & Money Transfer set? They look fantastic! Same here.
  16. That's really nice to hear! Can't wait to see it!
  17. What an amazing set (great box art and video as well)! Can't wait to get my hands on it even if I'm not a Star Wars fan!
