  1. Here's your longly awaited modular! But hey, you now what? It was seriously worth waiting for it! That's one of the most unique modulars I've seen! Great use of new parts like everyone said, amazing techniques, depth and color scheme, and the interior is brilliant as all your other modulars! I agree that a sign would be nice. I'm also not totally sure about the white curtains but it may grow on me! Otherwise, this is a top notch modular! Keep it up! I think you should share your wonderful work on Flickr as well, your gorgeous modulars deserve to be more popular!
  2. Wow, now that's an impressive layout! So many things to admire here! Some great modulars, a kiosk with a wonderful roof, an amazing run-down church with really nice stained glasses and that incredible Arena! I really like how the interior is visible from the exterior. The only thing I'm not sure about is the grass - I'm not fond of the usage of bright yellowish green but that's nothing compared to this incredible layout! Keep it up, guys!
  3. Special Edition: Non-collaborative Layout Staff Picks of 12/05/18: Hey everyone, already three months of staff picking! Today, I'll highlight three real life based impressive non-collaborative layouts! Enjoy! ~Rialto Bridge, Venice by Anu Pehrson ~San Giacomo Square by Luca Di Lazzaro ~Amsterdam Keizersgracht Utrechtsestraat by @pj_bosman Kudos to all these MOCers, these layouts are impressive in their sizes as well as with how much effort is gone to every small details! Much more to see on their Flickr!
  4. It looks nice so far! Look forward to see what you're going to come with! I don't know if I'm welcome to share other people's work here but here's a great Midi Scale modular by @lookl: Sorry, I don't know a big range of midi-scale modulars as I do for normal ones... I came across some nice mini-modulars though even if I didn't search for them particularly. One of the best examples I saw is by @fillishave:
  5. The DD is a definitely unique modular and I love it. The color scheme doesn't look to me like Friends. Mike said "we need an hotel" in the designer video, didn't he? I can definitely see hotel fit with Art Deco, however I totally agree with @koalayummies that we're not getting any Art Deco anytime soon. So what about and Art Nouveau hotel?
  6. Ok, I've been waiting for some time but I just can't anymore - it makes me really sad to see this amazing MOC only received two replies (excluding the thank you comment). I think we should encourage @Ron Dayes to continue posting his MOCs and I think he deserves more comments. Maybe you didn't find this MOC good... Then say what he could improve to do better, I think he would appreciate your feedback... Maybe this MOC wasn't got noticed among other topics though.
  7. Steampunk/Greenpunk by SEBASTIAN-Z Dreejal Vin by @The Secret Walrus Rettungsschiff der Exploriens by Thomas Grassmann
  8. That's a nice looking set! I like the mini builds a lot! Why not?! But thinking about all summer Friends sets, I think TLG has another goal: making Friends sets appealing to boys!
  9. Nice to see you started to make modulars, @mouseketeer! That's a wonderful modular you designed here! The foliage, the roof and the open balcony are some of my favorite bits from this modular. The yellow building needs to be my favorite, mainly because of the shell piece. And the interior is packed with some amazing details! I'm not totally sure about the height of the left side building, I feel the third floor needs to be one brick taller. BTW, I'm surprised no one spoke about the railing using handcuffs on the backside, such a NPU!
  10. I didn't like this very much when I saw it digitally and I'm really surprised how it turned out with real bricks! The whole roof section is really well designed and the upside down arches definitely add a lot. The use of the microfigs as railing looks amazing! The backside is wonderful as well with the use of lampposts and the garage door pieces. Keep it up! And how about this Art Nouveau modular? You know how I'm excited about...
  11. Another nice alternative build. The idea you had for the chairs is simply brilliant, I'd never have thought about using mudguards for making a chair.
  12. Staff Picks of 09/05/18: ~Globe Tavern & Party by @stebai ~Modern Fire Brigade by @niteangel ~Hotel by @kris kelvin Congrats to all these MOCers! I forgot to thank you, @Chmashdehjare for your encouragement!
  13. Again a bit late to the party... Anyway, I'd be really happy if the arcade, the treehouse or the Flintstones would be approved (doesn't matter which one). I like Stitch and the BMW motorcycle as well. I care less about the others.
  14. My apologies for reviving this topic but I came across a modularized SS that I think is worth sharing here. Sanctum Sanctorum by yellowbox777 There are a lot more images on his blog. What do you think about it, guys?
  15. Amazing work, guys! So many things to admire here, the water effect, the medieval buildings, the foliage, the rocks... The color scheme works really well too. Indeed, that's something to be proud of!
  16. That's really interesting and nice to see how your builds are becoming better and better in such a small amount of time! My only suggestion is to cover some studs, especially the ones below the arch. Otherwise, pretty perfect. Keep it up!
  17. It's a pretty original idea to make a building from a vehicle set and should be a bit challenging as well... Well done!
  18. I know, I'm late to the party but Jang's review is really convincing. The Roller Coaster somehow grew on me thanks to him! For instance, I really like some small details like the park and the roller coaster looks nice when two trains work at the same time, and I like how the longer train looks as well. It's also nice to see a Jang's review much before it becomes available to buy publicly, everybody is going to have time to consider whether to buy it or not!
  19. Staff Picks of 06/05/18: ~Schroder House by @Nick Barrett ~Ebisu East Gallery by aukbricks ~The Red Lobster Inn by @fonz Congrats to all these MOCers! Staff Picks of 07/05/18: ~Brown RKO Movie House by @TJJohn12 ~Art Gallery/Museum by @Bricksky ~Secession Mansion by @Subix Congrats to all these MOCers and see you tomorrow!
  20. My apologies for not sending the Staff Picks of yesterday, I was too busy, I'll send them today with today's Staff Picks! Same here! That's why I thought you may like it... That roof... Thanks for writing what you think about these MOCs, that made me know your tastes better!
  21. That would be great, I think this may even encourage some members to write comments on MOCs! Hey, this topic on its own activated some very old members! Extremely nice to see older members on EB, especially on this thread! I mean, member ID 1285?! And @Hobbes, 359?! 178163 here... I agree. Some advertisement is important IMO. That would certainly attract some more fans here. Oh, that's really too bad... I was wondering if the reason @just2good (I hope you don't mind the shout-out) visits rarely was he didn't enjoy visiting anymore or didn't have time to visit EB. So the first is true... I saw a several years old video of him, EB was an important part of his life... Maybe EB needs a small format change (if it would help attracting older members again and important members (such as @just2good) as well as new ones of course) as I quoted below from your post: Anyway, really hope to see you active again, @Cyclone Titan! And thanks so much for taking time to write a long comment! I joined EB in only late November 2017 and I'm pretty sure I'm the newest member on this thread. I was looking for Lego forums and my reason for choosing EB was that it's the forum that was shown most of the times on Lego blogs and more importantly I liked the fact that how kind and clean the forum is. Reddit? Nah. It's great for leaks but I really don't like the community there. Facebook? I don't use it except some groups to discover new MOCs. I use various blogs and websites other than EB for news. The the feeling of posting and being a member of a respectful, kind forum is really different and I don't think Reddit and Facebook could ever cover this. I agree they pretty cover the rest though. Haha, I actually thought about it but didn't want sound like... you know... Well, you seem looking through things with a more nostalgic eye than I do (which is normal as you're member for 13 years and me even not one at the time of writing this comment). It's not that I don't agree, we just have some different thoughts... Thanks! And what encourages you to post that much? I like your idea and I'm glad a lot of EBers like it as well! It means it's likely to be considered (at least I hope)... I'll reply to more! Keep it up, guys!
  22. Special Edition: Happy "Joining" Day, @Digger of Bricks!!! Digger is on EB since exactly 05 May 2017. Isn't it worth making a special edition for him? @Digger of Bricks, I definitely wanted you to discover at least one other MOC that would go into your "Digger of Bricks Architectural Favorites" gallery on Flickr. So, I'll highlight MOCs according to what I think is close to your taste. Please tell me what you think about each one, which one is your favorite and why and, more importantly, if these MOCs are close enough to your taste! ~Unnamed by MDC ~American Graffiti Mel's Drive-In and Empire State Building by Joachim Klang ~Memories of Lecco by @oirad 72 ~Etheric Windmill by @Cara ~Art Déco Gas Station by @Norton74 ~Pirate 100 by @lisqr ~Architect Firm by Marco Gan Congrats to all these MOCers!
