  1. That's absolutely awesome.
  2. Y'now, looking at it again, the Spider-Man Mech in 72115 does look a bit like the SP//dr, especially the bulky, rounded shoulders . . .
  3. So what you're saying is, I need to make creating a custom of Peni and Sp//dr my top priority, :P
  4. Actually, I think there might be more to this new mech than people seem to think. In the new Spider-Verse trailer (the one that someone put on the previous page), there was an 'anime girl' Spider-Man who, for just a second, was shown with a big mechanical spider. And then we get a big mechanical spider in next year's sets. Coincidence? Hmmmm. Whatever the case, I'm always up for non-conventional mechs, so as far as next year's sets go this is gonna be pretty high on my priority list. EDIT: 'Anime girl Spider-Man' is a very real character, which confuses me immensely, and is apparently named 'Peni Parker'. Now, more than anything, I want an official minifigure of Peni Parker.
  5. Have we heard anything about the Creator 3-in-1 sets for 2019? I know this is probably the wrong place to ask, but I can't find an appropriate topic.
  6. I think it's a really nice looking set. If I have enough budget I'd definitely like to get it. If only to repurpose it for a MOC. That said, an extra minifigure would be nice, preferably Krennic. And I definitely hope it'll be available in Australia. I did hear something about it having limited exclusivity to Amazon, so my interpretation was that for the next three months or so it'll only be available at Amazon, but it'll be rolled out to general retailers along with the 2019 sets come next year. I hope I'm right. I definitely wouldn't get this without a solid retailer discount.
  7. No one else had made one, so I figured what the hey. https://www.brothers-brick.com/2018/10/03/lego-star-wars-75251-darth-vaders-castle-is-unveiled-news/ Personally, I like this thing a lot. I'm not big on Star Wars stuff, but I could see myself getting this to repurpose for MOCs. I don't really have a frame of reference; I know that Star Wars Lego s more expensive than most other kinds of Lego, but is $129.99 USD a good price for a set of this size? 1060 parts makes it sound bad, but we have to take into account the license tax and the Disney tax.
  8. We're finally getting a Lego parachute? Awesome! This water pump interests me. I'll see how that turns out. And if there's a Burger Bar that could be fun. If I get it or not depends on how well built it is, probably. Still, shame about the garbage truck . . Eh. I knew I was gonna give most of my budget to TLM2 anyway.
  9. Whoo! It's about time. And I agree, there's going to be something built in her back. Shame they won't let us see it yet. That makes eight characters confirmed, right? Tracer, Winston, 76, Mercy, D.Va, Reinhardt, Widowmaker and I forget who the last one from the leak a while back was? Hmm. I'm noticing a lot of heroes but not many villains here. Hmmm. Now how about an actual set? Please?
  10. Damnit, ninja'd. This pretty much confirms that there will be a Fort Gibraltar set. Winston is pretty heavily associated with that location, and if they did make a Gibraltar set it would probably be the biggest one in the line, and you know they prefer to only put bigfigs in big sets.
  11. Very nice. I particularly like your use of the ball joints for framework.
  12. Very nice architecture. I like how you built up the facades at the top. Also, I'm usually not a fan of the classic smilies (and endeavour to replace them all with more interesting faces on my Modulars) but that rocker with the tattoo over his smiley face just takes the cake for me. ^^
  13. Makes sense to me. I'm just curious what they could possibly do with a garage to make it have 3500 pieces like the leak suggested.
  14. Well, MOCs are always an option. Personally, my plan, since I'm low on parts, is to modify a modular with a raised stair section that'll connect to a lower walkway on the Ninjago side. Then, when I get the Docks, I'm going to split the tea shop and mapmaker's part away from the rest of it and turn the Docks into two separate modules that act as 'endpoints', one 16x32 and one 32x32. (Also gonna replace the central house with something else so that there isn't a door that leads nowhere. Probably a trapdoor leading to the room below.) That way I don't need to worry about making a joining point with accomodations made to connect the upper walkway, because so long as I put the 16x32 tea shop section next to my modified Modular with stairs, and then put the rest of the Docks, the 32x32 with the arcade and the dojo and the market, on the other side, it'll all fit together quite nicely, since the arcade's stair section will now lead to the tea shop and there won't be any awkward floating platforms that don't go anywhere. I got the idea after seeing what @antp had done with his Docks to attach them to the main Ninjago City. So thanks! And then, if they DO make more Ninjago City sets in the future, I can simply put them between the two halves of the Docks.
  15. Seriously, are plant-based elements really expensive compared to normal Lego or something? Is that why it's so ridiculously expensive?
  16. I certainly want to put it in mine. My village is a mishmash anyway, so it won't look any more out of place than anything else. And I need a source of energy. But the price is definitely off-putting . .
  17. No one else seemed to want to post a topic to discuss this, so I figured I might as well. Alright, it's official! Lego is rereleasing the Vestas Wind Turbine. https://www.brothers-brick.com/2018/09/26/lego-opens-vault-to-re-release-10268-vestas-wind-turbine-on-black-friday-news/ Personally, I'm cautiously optimistic. My layout does need an energy source, and I'm all for going green. But I gotta say, the price is about as high as the fan itself. So I'll certainly be looking for a good discount if I do get this - which, considering that Overwatch, Ninjago and TLM2 are gonna eat into my budget significantly, is definitely an 'if'. Discuss.
  18. Don't be too hasty with those 16x32 plates around Ninjago City; rumour has it there'll be a third expansion to the theme, so you might want to save some room. Still, looking good. I like your table arrangements. And good luck fitting the Expert rollercoaster in, it's pretty huge.
  19. Borg Tower? Huh. I really hope it follows the Ninjago City model and is built on a simple 32x32 baseplate, with straight walkways. My layout won't accomodate a corner without extensive revisions . . . still, sounds cool either way! Also, we'll finally get a proper, non-evil Cyrus Borg minifigure. That would be awesome. That's said, there is one thing that's concerns me a little; Borg Tower is supposed to be the tallest building in Ninjago City. So I'm hopeful that they'll go for vertical over horizontal with this one . . . but for it to have that title, it'd have to be taller than the original Ninjago City. And that would undoubtedly make it the tallest Lego set ev . . wait, no. I can't believe that I forgot the Apollo is a thing. Nevermind on the 'tallest set ever' . . . still, it'd have to be pretty huge.
  20. Uh, dude? @SwissBrick You, um . . . put Ninjago City Docks in backwards. The platforms and walkways are supposed to line up . . .
  21. Huh. Can anyone tell what that hilt Piece the shield uses is? I can't figure it out . . it almost looks like a 1x2 black plate with a bar attached to the bottom?
  22. Okay, now, more than anything, I want an official set released of the Bat-Train. Even if it's just an engine and one carriage, with no track or platform or anything. I'm okay with that, but I want it.
  23. Sandman is awesome. Vulture . . eh. I've seen worse. {shivers} Wasp . . anyway. It makes sense that Vulture will be in a Juniors set this go around, but hopefully not Sandman. He looks too detailed. And I don't think there's ever been a big leg part like that in a Juniors set . .
  24. I agree. Besides, there's another operational hazard; I build my city on 32x32 baseplates. That's my rule of thumb going forwards. And I know that lots of other people do the same. Modular Buildings are good because they stick to the 32x32 setup. Assembly Square, on the other hand - I'm going to have to bend over backwards to accomodate that 32x48 footprint in my layout. (Since I don't have Market Street or Pet Shop.) Nit to mention, if Modulars start taking up more space, it leaves less room for my own MOCs. And I don't want that.
