  1. Well whatever it is I hope it's legit; that thing is absolutely adorable and I want to have it!
  2. More like two steps back. It's one thing to abandon the two-part assembly style, which I really liked and wanted to see more parts that followed that system. But those big (and pointless) ribbons at the back that make it impossible for shoulder armour to be used? (With the possible exception of quivers for Zane?) That just completely ruins it for me. Bring back the movie masks!
  3. Erk. Okay, that settles it; when these new figs come out I am replacing their hoods with more recent, movie-style versions. Honestly, what is Lego thinking . . Kai's alright. He has the golden dragon print, so that's fine with me. Though it is a bit sparse . . .
  4. Getting back to the actual point of this topic, I want to see a set including Master Chen's Noodle House. With a shopkeeper Skylor.
  5. Heh, probably. Anyway. So a new Cole figure leaked, cited as 'S10 Cole' . . but he's different to the Cole that leaked before. Damnit . . I think this means there actually will be two separate Ninjago themes for Winter next year, one 'throwback' and one to tie in with S10.
  6. Depends. On the right side, the Detective's Office is the best option by far: the lower elevation of the right portion of that building will make the large rounded teal area of the Diner seem that much taller by comparison. As for the left side, since it sort of falls away, if you put anything directly more adjacent to it it'll look like there's a big gap. So I recommend puttng it on the end of a street, with a road right next to it. Or just on the edge of your layout. If you absolutely need a Modular there, the Parisian Restaurant's probably the best option since there's a gap on the right side there too, so if nothing else the break in the facade will look more natural and less 'there's a big chunk of exposed wall here'.
  7. The new prints are actually pretty similar to his original design. It could easily be explained as him having grown a bit . . or maybe the breaching from the Dreat Devourer faded and he went back to being purple? Actually, wait. The tweaked design is probably to bring Pythor's appearance more in line with the Anacondrai from the Tournament of Elements.
  8. I'd like a new Batcave. I missed the one for the movie. :(
  9. What makes you say that? They're pretty plain compared to the previous styles, but I'm not seeing any biker helmet parallels. If there are, that actually makes me feel a little better. I could use them to add some diversity to my S.O.G.
  10. Ooh, nice. I particularly like the Wizard Shop and the Iron Horse. ^^
  11. Oh my god that greebling . . . it's so beautiful . . .
  12. I need this so much. Here's hoping that they'll release them in Australia soon.
  13. I disagree. I liked the movie-style masks, especially because you could take the bottom part off and have their face be visible while still having the top bit and 'wearing the mask'. I'm gonna miss that functionality.
  14. So, I just got the Tatooine Battle Pack. I'm making a MOC where it'll fit right in. And I'm looking at the red astromech droid included in that set and wondering; who's that's droid? Is he important to anything? Does anyone know?
  15. I'd love an official Peter Parker minifigure. I'm hoping there'll be one in the Far From Home sets. I have a custom Peter, but it's not the same.
  16. Sorry, I think I missed something, because I'm confused. Why is there a 'guy in normal street clothes'? Are we talking about the crane operator? In the Doc Ock set?
  17. Well, there was a D2C for Infinity War . . . The Ultron Edition Hulkbuster was a D2C, right? I think it counts. So there'll probably be one. Or at least something on a similar scale.
  18. That's what I said. And frankly, it's for debate, I think the case is more like these are 2019 sets that are being granted an early, December 2018 release in parts of the world, and will continue to be available into 2019. So it's alright to discuss them in either.
  19. Hmm. The Pirate Ship interests me, though it might be hard to put in a layout since it's supposed to be underwater. I'd love an Ender Dragon rerelease, since I missed the first one. That said, I have no interest in constraction . . unless they could possibly be used as statues of some sort in a minifig-scale layout . . but I digress.
  20. It's been discussed thoroughly that there's a lot absent from this year's wave that should have been released. One of the Merlok Powers, an updated version of Ava, a Virus Vampire variant of Ruina, Monstrox in human form, a vehicle for Macy, a general for the Vampires. Probably more that I can't think of right now.
  21. So, there's a theory going around that some of the builds from next year's Spider-Man sets might have been recoloured versions of the cancelled NK summer wave. Personally, I can see that. There is a giant mechanical spider. And several of Spidey's new toys shoot the same 'tech spider' part as the Virus Vampires. Thoughts?
  22. Heeeeey, you're right. That would also explain why the tech spiders. Problem is, they recoloured everything and it'll be a pain in the megablocks to rebuild it all in proper Virus Vampire colours. But I'll try. For Nexo Knights. RIP, Knighton.
  23. The Carnage set is interesting. Since Carnage and Venom are so closely related, it makes a degree of sense that they'd be in a wave together. As characters, though, I gotta admit that I'm not sure I have room for two symbiote-powered supervillains. The Miles Morales fig is interesting (and further proof that they're trying to tie this wave in at least partway with Into the Spider-Verse) but the bike looks crude and simplistic, and the little lab part looks like it's got some neat parts. But I just don't think I'm going to get this over the amazing Venom mech. (Especially after I literally just cooked up a custom civilian comic-inspired Eddie Brock minifig in anticipation of Venom.) Also, I'm seeing another NK 'tech spider' in that set. Is this supposed to be some kind of running theme that LEGO Spider-Man is now backed up by tiny mechanical spider drones?
  24. So another time travel story? Or maybe Garmadon will go back to being human? We might have two Garmadons, good and evil! Wait, but he's supposed ro be a villain . . .
