  1. @Ross Fisher So, what line would I have to cross? Child abuse? Or the horror of... Too mean?
  2. You just marked the Padré with a big red X on his back!
  3. I remember a guy who shouted "fake news!" all the time... weirdo with strange hair and some skin condition. The Padré is of course welcome in Mesabi Landing to justify his actions in front of an independent* court... * ... terms and conditions apply
  4. So why is all we read about in the newspaper your maniac killmachine of a "padre"? All I read about the WTC is shiny and glorious! Independent journalism is awesome!
  5. He sure is, thanks for all the violence and mayhem provided by him.
  6. I am thankful that Lego does not produce sets related to any particular religion, and hope it stays that way in the future.
  7. DO and BB are both no longer available "temporarily out of stock" on the German Lego page.
  8. ========================================================================= Much earlier than usual this month. Also the final issue for the first year of WTCM. W00t! For some reason I could not upload the full PDF version. I will try again another time. I want to stress the fact that the WTCM is strictly IC, and often does not mirror my OOC opinion. I appreciate both @Ross Fisher and @gedren_y and their characters: you both do great stuff for the game, keep it up! The same goes for @Capt Wolf and the KPA. If you have a problem with anything I wrote, please let me know! This months recipe makes for a nice Thanksgiving sidedish. Just saying. The rewards of Octobers issue are still available for the rest of November, as usual. If you have any questions, rebuttals, or suggestions for new articles: please PM me!
  9. Got 10252 Brick Bank yesterday. Wanted to get it all the time, and with it being discontinued soon, why not take double VIP points and a couple of gifts with it? Also got me the AC: Black Flag artbook. Excellent stuff, and more inspiration for Brethren of the Brick Seas!
  10. Once BB is retired, there will be no corner modular on sale, unless the upcoming one is a corner. To me that is a good reason for the next one to be a corner. P.S.: Something that would both solve the "corner problem" and defy expectations would be a "split modular" on two rectangular triangles as bases. A sidewalk on each of the hypotenuses would mean you could use each "triangle" as a corner (the short edges would connect to regular modulars), or a combined "normal" build with a wide pathway diagonally across it.
  11. "Mr. Mordo, Sir!" a WTC Marine interrupted the meeting. "There is a weird stranger offering us a gift. Some crate full of what looks like an alcoholic beverage, but I am not sure." Mordo replied angrily: "Dammit, not even five minutes of peace to plan world domination! Fine, get the stuff inside, and offer him this deal: we will take his drink in commission. If it sells well in our WayMarts, he can set up business with us. Let him explain what his plans are for further deals with the WTC. Now leave us alone!" @gedren_y How does Taliesin reply? PM me for any questions or suggestions, IC reply should be public in this thread.
  12. @Mesabi I like her a lot, definitely your best ship MOC so far! The dark red and white (or is it light grea? tough to tell...) works well, my only issue is that dark red and reddish brown do not contrast at all. Sometimes it is hard to even tell them apart in a build. But do not change the colours here! It could use some more white (in place of those 2x2 tiles with one stud maybe). Anyway, great work so far, and I can not wait to see it finished!
  13. Thanks for the kind comments everybody. I do not get this reference though.

  15. This years Weelond Oktoberfest had finally inspired the folks of Mesabi Landing to do an Oktoberfest of their own. Scholars near and far still debate why the WTC needed so long to celebrate food, booze and debauchery! The whole thing was a roaring success, and to celebrate the origin of the idea, a statue was built near the city center of Mesabi Landing: A plaque on it read: "In honour of a fine tradition from Weelond, this statue is a monument to the glory of the Oktoberfest!" Two WTC Marines raised their bottles to this: ============================================================================== This is the "twin" of the statue in Weelond. As shown over there already, this is the second one of two almost identical builds: This will get licensed as a small art & culture property for Mesabi Landing at a later point. As always, C&C are appreciated.
  16. 618, Day 14 of the 11th month Dear honourable officials of Weelond, you may not be aware of it, but the word of your famous Oktoberfest has travelled the Brick Seas and reached even far-away places like Mesabi Landing. Your fine tradition has even inspired the local community to celebrate an Oktoberfest of their own this year - a great success I might add. As a sign of appreciation the Wayfarer Trading Company wishes to give something back, which is why I personally commisioned two statues to commemorate the yearly festivities in Weelond and Mesabi Landing. One of these statues will stand here in Mesabi Landing, the other one will find a place in Weelond. They stand for the values we share and celebrate each year: mutual support in a community, as well as the joy of good food and beer. They are also supposed to represent the collaboration between our great settlements - a testament of cooperation, visible for all minifigs. I would love to be your guest during next years Oktoberfest, or at an earlier occasion. I am sure we can support each other in many other fields as well. With the best wishes for the present and the future, Kadeus Mordo, Head of the Diplomatic Division of the WTC, Mesabi Landing ===== Two citizens of Weelond stood next to a newly erected statue: "Ho-hum, the plaque talks of food and beer. I wonder what those WTC folks really mean... I heard rumours about horse meat and other atrocities!" . =========================================================================================== Sometimes you have a weird idea and just have to build it - this is one of those cases! This is meant as a small gift to Weelond, with an almost identical statue being set up in Mesabi Landing. Before anybody asks: yes, there are two actual physical builds for this: @Capt Wolf: Please take this as a thank-you gift for the Weelond Oktoberfest. The build can be licensed as a small art & culture property.
  17. This is so dirty, I can not comment on it without getting banned.
  18. Child abuse by those same nuns was also commonplace, but I will stop it now.
  19. Brilliant build, the effort put into this really shows! Your already impressive skills seem to improve even more - a bit scary to be honest. I hope to see an adopted version over at BotBS! The rather northern style and the roof fit the look of Stormhaven; the ground and the theme fits Mesabi Landing (theme it for Thanksgiving and earn good dubloons!).
  20. Please take it as the inappropriate joke it was meant to be.
  21. Congratulations to Jameston for finally reaching "Large City" status. Another one for the glory of the Crown!
  22. Wow, a vibrant scene - lots to see on a small area. The variety of colours used makes it a pleasure to look at, well done! @Bregir Is Montoya already back in Jameston by now? The WTCM wishes to know if there is some news to report.
  23. W00t?! Nice! Thanks to @Capt Wolf for hosting this minichallenge again, and congratulations to the other winners.
  24. I missed out on commenting before - silly me! A truly awesome festivity scene, with lots of well done scenes in it. Great use of faces and poses for minifigs! The story is hilarious too. Excellent stuff, my favourite entry to the Octoberfest minichallenge!
