  1. Yay, Oktoberfest! I will enter with a few builds, probably not as many as last year though. There will also be an Oktoberfest in Mesabi Landing (no mini challenge! ), so I will spread my ideas between both settements.
  2. Since almost everything is strictly based on luck, the chances are not so low. Lower then with three teams, granted. But not near zero. With nine player teams, I think a first round of sixteen makes sense, so seven NPC teams.
  3. Impressive last-minute line-up! I wish every team good luck, and hope for a fun and interesting tournament.
  4. Excellent build as usual, with some great choice and posing of minifigs! The green roof looks awesome, with the white rim blending into the background being the only odd thing to me. Very well done!
  5. Great group shot! The variety of torsos and faces is looking good, and the black bandana brings them all together. I also like the jungle/beach build, with that lighting it gives the impression of being somewhere remote indeed. Well done!
  6. Brilliant idea, I actually LOL'd. Now I fully expect some follow-up build where an Eslandolan trader has to "pay" with ten dudes in boxes!
  7. Nice and easy! Interesting take on the woodcarving.
  8. Nice team! I assume there will be some sort of stadium build around them?
  9. This is HILARIOUS! Well done! Seriously, a nice build. The field is nicely done, as is the goal (how are those window pieces held in place? ), but the 10-baby-stroller is just awesome. How on earth did you get hold of so many babies? Also:
  10. @dr_spock Could you please postpone the deadline a bit, maybe another week? Sadly we have not even enough player teams to fill a semi-final round yet. To everybody: please enter the tournament! The requirements are low, and the prices are pretty awesome! You can do a small vignette of the character who is supposed to be the teams trainer/owner/starplayer, with some short story for his or her motivation. The "team photo" does not have to show a uniform group at all: I guess many teams are made of ships crew, or even press-ganged on the spot in Bastions street. So use the minifigs you have - the wilder, the better! If you are lacking inspiration, some ideas: Take this with a pinch of salt, and feel free to use anything you like. Mix and rearrange parts of these if you want - this is about getting inspired, not a codex to follow!
  11. True, but this is not a "nations thing" - at least not OOC. I hope we get some more players involved. Spread the word for Oleon!
  12. ========================================================================= Another issue out, and even with some days of the month to spare! Note that this months rewards (see WTCM 9) are still available for the rest of September. The rewards for the "Mesabi Landing Octoberfest" are available through all of October. This is in no way meant as "competition" for the upcoming Weelond Octoberfest, but as an addition! If you have any questions, rebuttals, or suggestions for new articles: please PM me!
  13. There are indeed religious nutjobs in every faction, Oleon just has most of them.
  14. Great build, well done! Yet another fortress for the Sea Rats though? The WTCM is taking notes...
  15. Excellent microbuild! The attention to detail for the surroundings is impressive, but the fort itself is just awesome. Really well done!
  16. Thanks for all the kind comments! The next issue is in the works already, so if you have an article (or even only an idea for one) you want to see publisehd: please PM me now. If everthing goes well, the next issue will be up this weekend.
  17. As others have mentioned, you should go for the faction that inspires you the most. You will spend a lot of time building for your faction, so you might as well give yourself some time to deciding which one it should be.
  18. Bwahahaha! Excellent street build, loving all the little scenes you were able to put in there. The story is brilliant too - great how you continued last years tale! That money raising thingy... have you thought about producing a calender "for the ladies"?
  19. Thanks a lot to both of you!
  20. Wow, this is a great microbuild! Loving the realistic structure of the fortification, as well as the scenery around it. The attention to detail with the differently coloured water is pretty awesome. The black rim around it adds a lot to the presentation, well done. Overall great work! One question though: a small fort? The footprint of this is closer to a medium one, PLUS it is a microbuild. In minifig scale this would be a large fort for sure.
  21. It has been almost another three weeks, and @Captain Genaro has been online on the 9th - what is going wrong? A suggestion for the future: please include some kind of redundancies into all the behind-the-scene work. If one person missing stalls the whole game, then something is not going right.
  22. @Phred, and/or @Legostone The Misfortune's Wrath still does show up as "not MOCed", I did fill out the paperwork though. I guess something went wrong?
  23. Bah, humbug! WTC weapons technology is superior (as is the WTC in general ), none of this matters! Thanks everybody for the kind comments.
  24. Really cool MOC! I would love some more surroundings - things like a pathway, tree(s), stuff like that - but the house build itself is lovely. Very fitting to the setting, clean, just well done. Could you do some more pictures from different angles please? P.S.: A heads up to Gulagurag, great build, and he surely is missed in BoBS!
  25. Nice! Another team to kick in the balls with! Seems to be from the Tina Goldstein minifig, from the current HP CMF set.
