  2. The settlement thread for this one is up now, named Proxyville for the time being.
  3. Sort of stranded on Calinstock the crew of the Cranky Parrot had set up camp, awaiting the return of their comrades. With the ship having dropped anchor a bit away from an ominous tower, they had decided to build a small hut as shelter and collect some of the fruits they had discovered already. Together with more fish they had everything needed for now. . ================================================================================ Licensed as a small residence. Giving this a thread of its own for the ease of referencing and licensing. As always, C&C are welcome.

  6. Excellent news on all three points, thanks.
  7. @Roadmonkeytj How is it going with the suggestions from Court to get this one approved? Just asking for the friend of a friend.
  8. This one never got much traction - despite yourgreat entries - but I feel BotBS overall has slowed down a lot over the last weeks. Seems like this dreaded "real life" is taking a toll on most of us.
  9. @Bregir @Capt Wolf @Legostone @Phred A question about my last AMRCA choices, concerning the set-up of a new settlement on Calinstock. So given these options and choosing "Set up camp", I did build a small hut (scroll down a bit) - a small residence under the EGS rules. I have never started a settlement myself, so what are the following steps to set up the squatter settlement? I know I am supposed to mark the location of the settlement, but there is only this huge map of the whole New Haven region, not one of Calinstock alone. I could still put a dot on there and describe the location in a few sentences to make the exact position unambiguous. As for naming the settlement: this would spoiler some developments I have planned for the next weeks and months, so I would like to give it a spaceholder name for the time being. Would that be possible? Another option would be to license all builds up to that point on Calinstock in general, and transfer them to the named settlement later on - again, if that is possible. Anything else I would have to do?
  10. Chapter VII - Intermissions Soaring over the palmtrees, a symbol of freedom and grace, an eagle was peacefully flying over an island in the western New Haven Sea. The peace was not meant to last though... ... BLAM!!! "Good shot, Doc. Something proper to eat again!" "Now let us get this bird back on board, we have some sailing left to do before we are finally home again. Mesabi Landing is still waiting, even if I doubt that something horrible would ever happen to it!" ===== Meanwhile on Calinstock the crew of the Cranky Parrot had set up camp, awaiting the return of their comrades. With the ship having dropped anchor a bit away from the ominous tower, they had decided to build a small hut as shelter and collect some of the fruits they had discovered already. Together with more fish they had everything needed for now. .
  11. Great design, thanks for sharing.
  12. I have nothing to add but more praise. An overall great build, well done @Legonaut!
  13. Great scene, showing the different stages of loading and firing is cool. That smoke is so well done! I second the request for more pictures of the cannons. Maybe even a sort-of instruction? They look great!
  14. The WTC has just raised 180 troops in Mesabi Landing:
  15. After disaster had struck Mesabi Landing, now was the time to rebuild. For that every able hand was needed - and the WTC was recruiting them all! "Come in, come in, do your duty and sign up!" Every soul was welcome, whether drunk or sober, able carpenter or disgruntled soldier... ... special qualifications were welcome! Inside a WTC Operator dealt with the paperwork - does he not look confident, as if he was around for decades already! Ink was running low though... "What makes you useful for the Wayfarer Trading Company, young man?" "I... umm. How does 'explosive reconstruction' sound?" - "Perfect. Hired. Next!" ========================================================================== A recruitment build for the WTC, raising another 180 troops in Mesabi Landing. More pictures of the whole build: The back wall can be removed (same as the roof of course), and I plan to expand this building in the future. As always, C&C are welcome.
  16. Two short comments: 1.) I noticed that Mesabi Landing is listed as a "City" in the Account Summary Sheet, despite this statement: We were assured Mesabi Landing would remain a "Grand City", I would appreciate to see it that way. 2.) It has been over a month without a comment from the Court on this build. A word from above would be much appreciated.
  17. 5th day of the 3rd month, 619 Mesabi Landing Hear ya, hear ya! Found drifting near the port of Mesabi Landing, proud men and women of the WTC have seized the "Dirty Harry", formerly sailing under the colours of infamous pirate and scourge of the Brick Seas, Bloody Bill. Of the crew there were found no signs, but the ship will now sail under the flag of the WTC, trying to make up for the horrible deeds of its previous owner by spreading growth and prosperity for the Crown of Corrington! By the authority of the Wayfarer Trading Company. ======================================================================= Referencing this KPA, this is the formal seizure of the ship "Dirty Harry". A corresponding build will follow, hopefully sooner rather than later. The ship also needs a MOC, so will of course not sail this turn already. Just letting @Bregir, @Capt Wolf and @Legostone know, so ownership can be transferred to the WTC in time for the next turn. Thanks in advance!
  18. That idea for the sunset is brilliant, well done!
  19. Another "sorry", this time for the double post. Real life remains a bit more trouble for me than I would like, so I want to ask for an extended deadline for this turns AMRCA choices. The paperwork is done already, the two corresponding builds could need until coming Sunday.
  20. Just a short text-only update, I choose the following options for this turn:
  21. I am sorry for being pretty damn late with this, but anyway: the port of Mesabi Landing is open again from this turn on. While I will not be able to support this by a build (yet) due to real life shenanigans, the fact still stands.
  22. The settlement status is broken, showing most (if not all) settlements as way smaller than they really are. Seems fixed again. Tose hiccups are weird.
  23. Concerning AMRCAs: it is my understanding that "skipping a turn" does not result in any change of story options. Is that correct under all circumstances?
  24. Technically true, but as far as I know that never mattered. You can only travel between zones that share more than a single point - but do not take my word for granted, I could be wrong.
  25. I do not think so, since they are not adjacent.
