  1. Very cool! I have a huge Ork collection started back in the 90s, so I can attest to your Lego recreations being pretty on point. Great stuff, my favourites are the bikes and the Looted Wagon. Did you use custom parts? I do not recognise the skulls, and the Ork heads look like nothing I have ever seen. Excellent project overall, keep it going!
  2. I am pretty sure that school will be the starting point for many cool modular MOCs. You can even put it in a City setup as it is, and it would fit in just fine. Once "de-mystified", all of the sets work well in a City environment! I hope this line becomes very popular,so we get more of it. I for one am in love already!
  3. Great build, and once again a hilarious story. Good stuff!
  4. Great scene overall, with some neat building techniques used. Well done so far! As for the build itself I think the waterline needs to be much more "organic". Maybe add a few rows of studs by more plates, and use them to build up some depths to the water itself (be starting one or two bricks lower than the current main build). That way you could also add debris, algae and fish underwater to the scene. The waterline itself should not be a straight line, somethign easy to fix I guess. Other than that I think it could use some more story. The "one line per picture" does not do it for this one in my opinion.
  5. I think @Legostone is the shipmaster, but I will tag @Capt Wolf and @Bregir as well. So seizing the Dirty Harry in Mesabi Landing requires a MOC of some sorts, after which the ships ownership is transferred to... whom exactly? Also, in the ship list its "MOC link" goes to "James Farstrider's Guide to Halos" - I assume the vessel is un-mocced? Would the following be okay to "transfer" the ship to, for example, the WTCs ownership: Provide a MOC of WTC Marines capturing the captain and crew of the Dirty Harry - one thread, with OOC notification to the higher-ups conerning the seizure. Provide a MOC of the Dirty Harry - a second thread, also used to license the ship (with a free license as per the first thread) for the WTC.
  6. Ha, I actually had it wrong all the time. Thanks for the correction, I finally got it right.
  7. A range 5 ship can travel 6 zones per MRCA. Starting from zone 35 you could either go 33-29-24-20-17-13 to reach Terraversa directly, or reach zones 14 or 15 by similar courses (MRCA map for reference). Scale is not an issue, as I originally compared equal distances on both maps.
  8. While I disagree - I have made my case, and think this was completely unnecessary - things are as they are. A permanent higher range is something! As of the time of this post Mesabi Landing is still with Corrington. So with the original values from here, the "crew=0" removed and the new card applied, the Nippers stats are now: R6, M2, F0, C2, $5, H1.
  9. Nice set of options once again, my thanks to the team! Is this one permanent? If not, how can I get rid of it? I also assume the "crew=0 card" is discarded with this option?
  10. I guess we have to wait for the release to know this for sure. If your son likes it: great! Of course not everything is for everybody.
  11. I really like what I see in models so far. Looks like a great and creative theme to me! Spooky schoolstuff? Get your Buffy the Vampire Slayer minifig! I could not care less about the "augmented reality" side here, especialy since it is only for a select few devices. A poor move really - this should be available for everything out there, not just the newest iCrap. Those models though... shiny!
  12. Would be nice to have an AMRCA result to work on before the new deadline.
  13. I think it came out early 2018 and is still available - together with quite a few other similar sets. Check out this one that came out just 2019.
  14. Well, there is this. But I know you mean a bit more.
  15. *grabs some popped corn* Quite the comedy show you have going on here, keep it coming!
  16. @Captain Genaro was tagged to notify him of my reply in an OOC sense. IC the letter was sent to Allcock and nobody else.
  17. Thank you. Thanks. Thank you. The third shot is supposed to show the actual wave hitting land. As cool as stuff like this looks: this is just not a realistic depiction of a tsunami. Check out this video for the "biggest tsunami caught on camera" for some realistic footage.
  18. You are thinking of "Brownshirts" ("Braunhemden in German, with "Hemd" translating to "shirt", not "coat").
  19. Browncoats, for a more detailed description see here.
  20. I was thinking of other (in)famous "Browncoats", and love the reference.
  21. An interesting turn indeed. Quite a few things to think about. Browncoats you say...
  22. Welcome @Legonaut to BotBS in general and Corrington in particular! Kann sein.
  23. I am back. Despite one "illegal" vote, @Ayrlego won this mini-challenge. Congratulations, well done! I will contact you shortly concerning our prize. Second place goes to @Ross Fisher, with only one vote ahead of @Keymonus on third place. Congratulations to both of you, I will transfer the prize money to your accounts in a minute the prize money is already transferred to you.
  24. Got one already, getting at least one more. I do have some older space stuff, including four red suit guys, so this is sort of an expansion of my collection. But even without that: why not just build up something new? You can build something "space-y" from pretty much anything, you just need a somewhat coherent minifig collectiona round it. This set is just perfect for that! You get three "massable" minifigs, and one that can be used with some work (other helmets, equipment, etc.). You also get printed pieces with every set, that can be used on themed builds. An excellent deal all around, I do not know what you are waiting for.
  25. After the disaster that had hit Mesabi Landing, Mordo was examining the damage. "So you are telling me the harbour is heavily damaged, most of Oldtown destroyed, and some parts of the city might remain flooded? And I have to find a new house?" "Yes sir. Also... there seems to be another issue..." "Well, it can not possibly get worse now, can it?" "Ahem. Well... apparently... someofourgunboatsgotintoakerfufflewithasearatshipandoneofourboatsattackedfatuhivaandnowcolonelallcockisfuriousatthewtcagain..." "Wait... WHATTHEMEGABLOCKS??!!!11" "The Old Gods be damned! As if we do not have enough problems already! Prometheus' flammable farts..." "Sir, it might be of importance that we found a survivor of that attack, and have his written testimony. He is currently held in West Shield." "Ah well... that is something. I shall write a letter to that old fool Allcock, this must not become another issue for the WTC. You just make sure that the survivor speaks to no one. And get me some rum..." ====== 21st day of the 1st month, 619 Mesabi Landing Dear Colonel Sir Dirk Allcock, Governor of the Paradise Isles, Representative of the Crown of Corrington, it is with great unrest that I get finally back to you about the severe incidents you had to contact me about. As you are without doubt aware of, Mesabi Landing has been hit by a catastrophic disaster. My loyalty is with the Crown and its citizens, yo my first and foremost duty is to help the many minifigs suffering from this calamity. However, I have reviewed the cases and the evidence available to me, and will help in clearing it up by all means necessary. Concerning the ships involved in the alleged "attack" on vessels of the pirates-in-all-but-name that are the Sea Rats: the captains that returned to Mesabi Landing reported a chaotic encounter between their trade convoy and two other ships. It is unclear who fired the first shot, but in the end the WTC Drunken Dragon was sunk, and the WTC Bully Boy I was taken to Trador by the enemy. Since question are still open, we have contacted Trador officials to take the WTC Bully Boy I and its crew into custody until further notice. Under current conditions we can not spare any men to do so, but if you could send a ship of the Crown to Trador and escort the culprits to Port Woodhouse for further trial, the WTC would approve. Although I have to stress the fact that no charges have been raised about this by anyone, not even the Sea Rats directly involved in the event. Without a plaintiff there is no case - so I suggest we leave it at that. As for that "Fatu Hiva incident", we have a delicate situation to deal with. Contrary to what I had to read from the fake news that is the KPA, no WTC ship has fired upon Fatu Hiva at any point. As the WTC Monthly has correctly reported, a single rowboat out of one of our trade convoys ignored its orders and followed an unidentified ship from Jameston to Fatu Hiva. Assuming it being a pirate, a single warning shot was fired when said vessel approached the port of Fatu Hiva. For reasons unknown to us, the batteries of the settlements fortifications opened fire, utterly destroying the little boat. It is by sheer luck that one of the crew survived, from whom we have first-hand knowledge of the events. See "Attachment I" to this for a copy of his personal testimony. Up to this day we have not received any word from officials of either Oleon in general or Fatu Hiva in particular. Since this incident is strictly between the WTC and the settlement of Fatu Hiva - none of this is in any way related to official orders from the Crown of Corrington - we will not take any further action until the following conditions are met: Oleon has officially contacted the WTC about the matter and explained its point of view. Oleon has paid for the damages suffered by the WTC due to the destruction of our assets. See "Attachment II" to this letter for a list of damages. If and only if these two conditions are met, we will hand over the survivor to the legal authorities of either Port Woodhouse or Fatu Hiva for further treatment. In either case, I can assure you that none of this happened by orders from the WTC administration. We are loyal servants of the Crown, and would never jeopardise Corringtons relation to one of its allies. I await your response, but please note that times are difficult in Mesabi Landing, so an answer might take time. If the Crown wishes to help its loyal citizens, its Governor of the Paradise Isles is welcome to visit us and provide much needed help in the process. In the spirit of cooperation, yours sincerely, Kadeus Mordo WTC Representative Of Foreign Affairs === Attachment I - Testimony of Mr. Marcus, rower of the WTC Agnes Y1, concerning the "Fatu Hiva incident" Attachment II - List of WTC damages, to be paid by Oleon or one of its associates ========================================================================================================= @Ayrlego @Captain Genaro This one is mostly for you two. Please note that I will be off the internet for at least the next two weeks, just maybe with some access inbetween. Do not expect any reaction before mid February. In this matter @Mesabi does not speak for me or the WTC, so please be patient until I am back. Sorry for the timing.
