  1. Great build! Nice color choice and I just really like all the design elements and the sleek angles.
  2. Agreed! A standard I strive for when building my own LDD ships. I usually don't achieve it to it's fullest, but I give it a solid try!
  3. Great looking LDD ship! I like the hull sloping and the colors are quite nice! Also, great job on the sails and rigging and the renders turned out awesome. How long did the sails take you?
  4. Awesome looking build! Green is a nice color choice and the details are prefect!
  5. A fantastic ending to an enthralling story! Gotta say that I didn't notice the monkeys until it was pointed out! Looking forward to what you come up with next!
  6. I was wondering if I'd see the interior of that building! Nicely done Drunknok!
  7. Awesome! The ideas team are really good about customer service.
  8. @alanyuppie You're welcome and thank you for the videos!
  9. Ok, so I think I have taken a good step forward in the gun port design! I looked up some pictures and from what I can tell, the rear gun ports are higher than the front ports with the lowest portion being in the middle. So here's how she's looking. 10. Welcome to Euro Bricks!
  11. @Bregir: I think I get what you mean... I play around with it some more. I'm basing it off of the USS Pennsylvania, but she'll be far from a 1 to 1 model of it. As an American I'm just more biased towards American ships! That, and I really enjoy building these behemoths and I want to improve my skill in building ships in general! I'll probably stick to 3rd rates as my max after this one... unless I get really ambitions and go for a 4-decker...
  12. Lol. Didn't find that one in my research... cool! I'll still be basing mine off of the largest American sailing warship though...
  13. @Bregir: Is this more of the type of curve you wanted to see? HMS Resilience 4 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr HMS Resilience 5 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr
  14. @Bregir: Ok. I think part of the problem is that I used bigger flaps so it kind of threw me off for proper spacing. I'll mess around with some vertical curves to give it some more realism and raise up the lower gun deck. You're correct that the Victory was rated at 100 guns and that around 124 guns was usually the max. I'm taking some inspiration from the USS Pennsylvania, which was the largest sailing warship in terms of firepower - rated at 136 guns - even though she never actually saw combat.
  15. So I've been working on another class 10, I plan on calling her the HMS Resilience. Here is the progress I have so far. I think she's got a good looking curve. The lower gun ports might be a tad bit low, but I'm not sure. Right now she is pierced for 126 guns spread across 3 decks, but before she's done I want there to be at least 140 guns in total. I really want to try and do the stern the right way, so I am going to spend a lot of time getting it just right. 16. Welcome to Euro Bricks! That's some collection you've got there!
  17. Thanks! I like to use bird names for my merchant ships and wanted the design to really be recognizable as a galleon. We are proud and protected by the HMS Dominance!
  18. You're welcome! I've got some bricks like that as well that are older then I am. It's fine for the purpose of bobs.
  19. Another very nicely built MOC. Good amounts of details but not to much to make it distracting. My only comment is that some of your white bricks appear quite worn, but that's not really anything you can change. Keep it up!
  20. Very nice build, great story, and welcome to the Brethren of the Brick Seas!
  21. @Bricked1980: Gotcha. I've done stuff like that before! The Lego Ideas team should be able to point you in the right direction on what is the best course of action. Hope you get it worked out!
  22. Hmm... I just tried to change my username to see what would happen and got an error message as well. It must be a glitch on that part of the site. How long ago did you email them? They have usually responded to all my emails with 48 hours. I even had a conversation over a month long to fix a login issue. Not really sure what to tell you, but if you don't hear back from them in a few days email them again. Do something like this in the subject line: !URGENT! Username glitch! Caps and exclamation points usually get peoples attention when they are trying to sift through hundreds of emails a day. Sorry I couldn't be of any real help to you, but hopefully you can get it squared away!
  23. I really enjoy these classic ships with all the smoothness on the top. Putting the grebbling on the underside adds a lot of detail without making it look distracting. Keep up the great work!
