  1. Great looking build Road Monkey! I'm curious, do you plan on finishing that magnificent bow with a full ship?
  2. Thanks! It will be nice to have Cocovia highlighted each month as well as some other news worthy events!
  3. Thank you! Yeah, I noticed the support pieces on the sails after i was looking back at my renders... i was going to put the flag on the spanner, but I was looking at some ships, and I noticed it could be one or the other... I toy around with it on my next ship though. Thanks for the suggestions! Lol! That was the plan! Thank you! Really? I didn't even realize that... the Royal Philip is the only currently licensed class 10, so I just assumed it was possible... in the ships page, it does have a few guidelines when licensing a class 10. Not sure though...
  4. @Drunknok the Quinnsville chronicler has returned to Cocovia!
  5. Quinnsville Chronicler - Volume 2, Issue 1 - June 618 From the desk of Mayor Richard Brickford. Over the past few months, and with the help of several citizens of the nation of Corrington, Quinnsville has been turned into quite the booming settlement! This tiny town is now a thriving city and before too long will be one of the few large cities in the New World. The Quinnsville Chronicler has been rejuvenated for the purpose of reporting on new and exciting events in the settlement as well documenting the work of the newly appointed Vice President of Operations to the Royal Society of Navigation and Discovery and my cousin, Mr. Ralph Clutchington. Local Quinnsville man appointed VP in Royal Society - Mr. Ralph Clutchington has been appointed Vice President of Operations to the Royal Society of Navigation and Discovery. He will be travelling to the new HQ of the RSND before the end of the month in the Quinnsville built ship The Dolphin. The Quinnsville Chronicler will be keeping Cocovia informed of all the news regarding our new VP of Operations. Quinnsville shipyards production - Quinnsville is becoming well known for producing high quality vessels suited for all purposes and doing so in a short amount of time. In this month alone, there have been a total of 2 Ships-of-the-Line, both a first for Corrington's growing navy and merchant fleets. The 74-gun Third-rate Ship-of-the-Line HMS Dominance, and the 134-gun First-rate HMS Resilience are yet to be officially commissioned, however when a suitable crew can be secured, they will greatly expanded Corrington's presence on the Brick Seas. The merchant fleet also continues to expand with vessels like the Galleon Turaco and the Brig Puffin. Small traders get a piece of the market - All over the Brick Seas simple traders and fisherman have started to appear in order to get a share of the trade. Being inspired by the WTC and their ingenuity with small vessels, the residences of Quinnsville have come together to help each other out on the shores of Cocovia Military Presence growing in Quinnsville - With the ongoing hostility in the Brick Seas the original company of the 1st Quinnsville Fusiliers is currently being added too with the construction of a Military Academy. Also in Queens Bay, Fort Annetta stands tall and proud, ready to deflect any attack. Lastly, Major Nathaniel Brickford has been commissioned by Rear Admiral Fletcher to set up a proper military HQ, for correspondence with King's Harbour. It is rumored that a sizeable structure is in the works to be built on the left peninsula surrounding Queens Bay, know as the fist. Free land to Artisans looking to expand their craft - As mayor of Quinnsville I am currently offering free land plots to any citizen of any nation looking to set up a factory or artisan in Quinnsville. I, the mayor of Quinnsville, will personally reimburse the purchase price from my personal funds to anyone who does so. This offer stands until the next issue of the Quinnsville Chronicler is released. We thank you for choosing to reading this addition of Cocovia's number one news source. ------------------- The chronicler is officially back! This will be a platform to keep everyone updated on Quinnsville's status as well as my role in Corrington's newest venture. As the first addition back in print I kept it relatively simple, but it should broaden as more issues come out. I'll try to keep this on a monthly basis, but no promises! Thanks for looking.
  6. Hi @Phred! The active settlement thread still doesn't show me as mayor of Quinnsville... @Bregir officially appointed me in this post. Could you please make that change before July? Thank you!
  7. Lol! I'm glad that it gets the wanted reaction! As time goes on I'll definitely do some builds of the interior. As stated elsewhere, I have a few plans for the challenge that will most likely involve this ship. Well, right now as the combat systems stands, when I license her, I think she'll see some action! This ship further solidifies our position on the seas and yes, All hail the Queen!
  8. Lol! Thank you! The only ship I can think of that would be a fair match would be @Kolonialbeamter's class 10 "The Royal Philip". Other then that, I think she's safe from harms way! Yeah, I plan on licensing her. It may take a couple of months, but I want to launch both my class 10s before to long.
  9. Will Corrington now control the Brick Seas with the launch of their first First-rate ship-of-the-line and the most powerful ship ever launched?
  10. 134-gun First-rate Ship-of-the-Line "HMS Resilience" HMS Resilience 1 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr The HMS Resilience is the newest ship from the Quinnsville Shipyards! Crafted from the finest timbers and meticulously built, the HMS Resilience proudly sails the Brick Seas under the Corrington flag as the most powerful and heavily armed ship ever launched. Spanning a total of 4 decks, she has a outstanding 134 cannons. One broadside would be enough to render almost any ship inoperable. Like her little sister the HMS Dominance, she has a mortar deck for besieging settlements or helping with jungle riot control if need be. She has a spacious cargo hold and a sizable magazine, so she can stay at sea for many months. It will be a little while before she is put into full commission, but when the time comes, the enemies of Corrington will tremble in their inferior vessels! HMS Resilience 2 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr HMS Resilience 3 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr HMS Resilience 4 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr HMS Resilience 5 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr ------------------------------ Some details about the build: 8873 parts in total. length at waterline is 146 studs, LOA 230 studs. each broadside fires a whooping 67 guns. I've always wanted to build a huge ship like this for years. Many thanks to @Bregir and @Legostone for helping me out with tips and techniques with my ships that helped me create this behemoth! I think I have improved a lot in shipbuilding since my first post. C&C are welcome and appreciated and thanks for looking!
  11. A splendid build Ayrlego! I really like the front façade of the building and it is definitely a worthy structure for the RSND HQ! We will have to thank the Governor when we arrive for his generosity!
  12. Awesome looking addition to King's Harbour! I really like those ships! The sail plan on the smaller one is really cool and while I agree with @jakbar about the terraman deck, I think it works because ships get finished and refit here. Keep it up!
  13. Beautiful build Bregir! You captured the oriental look perfectly!
  14. @Ross Fisher: one broadside from my third rate ship will render your measily fireship to driftwood! We are a fun bunch of builders!
  15. Lol! The real question is... Are you sure? You know what a ship of the line is? I may have built some... You are very welcome! We're a fun bunch here!
  16. I very nice looking fortification for Jameston! Great job Spud!
  17. Welcome to BoBs! Nice intro and looking forward to see you more on the Brick Seas!
  18. Very nice and quaint dwelling! Great texturing and I like that you put the house at an angle.
  19. Thank you! I was appointed in this post by bregir:
  20. @Captain Genaro: My account says I only have 375 DBs, but it said 505 a few days ago... Also my MRCA profits totaling 882 DBs still have not been added. Oh, and the active settlement spreadsheet is still not showing me as mayor of Quinnsville... If you could look into those for me I would be most grateful! Thanks a bunch!
  21. @Mesabi: Lol! You'll thank me when your finished!
  22. I get what your saying about the bow. Here is an example of what I'm talking about though: troop transport 3 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr troop transport 6 by LM71Blackbird, on Flickr The second version looks more realistic with the bow raised up. Either way though, I'm curious on how you finisher her up!
  23. As this is my first challenge, I'm looking forward to this very much!
