Big progress here! I made all 4 legs, and lowering system. It was pretty hard work! I tried several ways of legs system. First I made it with cardans and worm gear It worked very well only with two legs, other two legs didn't work well because cardans have pretty much backlash. In addition, shock absorbers here didn't have any use because suddenly torsion suspension here were much softer. Well, I came to this type: I I pretty pleased with this system. You can see in the center small turntable, it rotates by the black lever. Legs are linked with turntable. So, when it rotates, legs moves. To make legs fixed I made special lock. It triggers when legs moved to lowest stage. Now shock absorbers works pretty nice. I also made special room for folded rover. It takes to many space, I think. But I can't make it smaller. Rover holded by axles with bush Here is photos of "How to deploy rover on the Mars" Well, I will try to make some addition for rover (for example, manipulator). It will need some space for storage. But lot's of space will take fuel tanks.

Thanks to all! I made folding rover. It wasn't hard as I thought. Now it nice fits in the base. Here is photos of steering system and bottom. Do you need more photos? I can try to make ldd file for you I also made one of four landing legs. It works pretty nice, there is also suspension for the soft landing. I think, lowering legs will work from the little knob outside using worm gear.

Hello everyone! I want for first time take a part in eurobricks contest. To be honest, space theme is close to me I am building landing module in minifigure scale. I am finding is challenging) Module will look like famous lunar module, but a bit different. Module will have 2 parts: ascent stage and descent stade (as a lunar modele has). Descent stage will have inside rover, tools, fuels tanks etc. Ascent stage will have inside living space and some more. Model will be fully mechanical, no electric. I will try to make module as realistic as possible for me. This is what I have built for the moment: You can see there rover and module's basis. Rover is not done. But now it have extremly compact steering system (2 gears!) and rear suspension. Rover isn't fitting in module's basis at the moment, I will try to make it folding. Well, that's all for begin. I hope you like my project!

Thank you a lot! Thank you! In real jeep it looks like handle for glove box and I made it that way, but maybe it is really safety bar... -

Thank you very much! Thank you! Do you mean 12/20 gear instead differentials? Yes, it can be changed. There is also possible to change central gear 12/24 to 16/20 Thank you! I agree with you: black frames would be better. Then I have only on black frame) -
Hello! This is famous Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. I made this model for trophy/trial event 08-09/12/2019. I took there first place in trophy! I used: 2 l motors for drive 1 m motor for steering Lipo Extension wire SBrick Model has dependent suspension, differentials All doors openable, detailed interior (working glovebox there), removable roof and drivers's doors I tried to make model as similar as possible to me) Front bumper I built from Wrangler from this photo Space for spare wheel is here Photo from trophy/trial event Video: All photos on my Bricksafe: https://bricksafe.com/pages/ArsMan064/jeep-wrangler-rubicon Instruction is available! Find it on Rebrickable: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-24937/ArsMan064/jeep-wrangler-rubicon/ ---------------------------------------- That's all. Thank you for reading! Hope you like it

ArsMan064 replied to ArsMan064's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thanks! But competition happend 09/12/2018, model took there prize for design Thank you! Thank you! I agree, truck is better than semitrailer. Smaller wheels on it makes building a bit harder -

Thank you! I think actuators are better here) Thanks a lot! No, it hasn't suspension Thanks! Yeah, this model has the same scale with Mack Anthem. Btw, Rig&Roll competition starts from this set... Thank you very much for your kind words! Thank you! I would put on the semitrailer 49 mm wheels, but I have only 8 these wheels... Thank you! Belly's photo is not a problem -
Hello! This is Kenworth T800 tridem with manipulator. I built this model for Rig&Roll competition, where it took prize for design. Photos of real models: Power functions: Buggy motor for drive 6x8 Servo motor for steering M motor for fifth-wheel coupling lock M motor for semitrailer's landing legs Extension wire Lipo battery +Sbrick Model has detailed design, openable doors, interior with working glowbox Also here is manual outriggers and fully manual manipulator Semitrailer's landing legs are powered by m motor in the truck Photos from the Rig&Roll competition Video: All photos you can find here: https://bricksafe.com/pages/ArsMan064/kenworth-t800-tridem --------------------------- That's all. Thanks for the reading! Hope you like it

[MOC] MAN TGS 8x8
ArsMan064 replied to ArsMan064's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Thank you very much! I put lipo in cabin, and sbrick under lipo. Pretty compact, I think. Battery box im semitrailer is only for landing legs :) Thank you a lot! Thank you! My model was the slowest on competition :( and I did not get any prize place, but not last place too -
Hello! I built this model for Rig&Roll competition 26 august. 5 month passed, I am really sad that only now I can share this model to you. Lets take a look to the model! Real prototype: It has semitrailer Of course, driver can hitch and detach semitrailer using smartphone and lego remote Truck: 2 m motors for drive 1 servo motor for steering (and steering wheel) 1 m motor for fifth-wheel coupling 1 Extension wire 1 polarity switch as extension wire Lipo Sbrick Semitrailer: 1 m motor for landing legs IR receiver Battery box On the competitions truck was the slowest It was my building error. Truck has 8x8 drive and 2 steering axles. First and second axles turn for different angles. (I lost red 90 degree beam on photo) Truck has some features. It has front lights, openable doors, interior with working steering wheel (servo) and working glove box :) Here is place for spare tire and manual crane behind the cabin For me, design of cabin is pretty good Semitrailer has simple suspension Rams are easy in using Landing legs Manual winch with lock Video: All photos here: https://bricksafe.com/pages/ArsMan064/man-tgs-8x8 I will not do instruction. -------------------------------------- Thats all! Thank you for reading! Hope you like it
