  1. I'm not knowledgeable in Motorcycles, but visually, that model looks like a ditto in every respect! Honestly, the set looks like a pretty damn sweet build in terms of construction and color scheme (yeah, no chrome or pearlescent parts, but I at least wasn't realistically expecting to see the former); but, no one here's mentioned those new wheels!!! Man, that's the highlight of the set here for me, as they're something builders like Vincent Gashod are totally gonna be exploiting for further Deco-Futuristic creations like this!!! Plus, the new wheels definitely reminds me of the sorta rims seen on mid-90s Neo-Deco concept cars like the Chrysler Atlantic...
  2. I myself have just finished the second half of the season last night, and I feel like I'll end-up doing the same before drawing any conclusions as to how this season as a whole measures-up alongside the previous two. Don't get me wrong, this season definitely had a boatload of great moments, character dynamics, and new plot directions it took; but, it is a very different season tonally compared to its forebearers. One thing for certain, the fanservice and callbacks revolving around various character dynamics is definitely quite strong this time around, which was fun to see executed in the ways they'd had, even if many of those moments were pretty on-the-nose. Now, for as much as I wished for further fleshing-out of the Upside-Down mythos from this season, the lack thereof was kinda made-up for with the newly-introduced "Soviet" element (something which they took to some crazy lengths that brought me much glee to be honest). Agreed, that melancholy mood and mid-autumn setting it established really got to me. I felt that Season One was nice and compact, whereas this and Two had much more to tell. That said, this season did get going much faster than Season Two, in which nothing much happened until Will was possessed. The first episode in particular felt rather rushed in a montage sort of way, but I suppose it was just for the sake of summarized catch-up.
  3. Hmmm, kind of? While I do like how the finalized product turned out, the allure of the original was admittedly in its deeper-toned, rustic color choices. Heh, if that were the case, perhaps @paokus's Pirate Bay could have a better chance in review based upon that reasoning!
  4. Oh shoot, I didn't even check before I suggested. I see you're calling them "Leggers" rather than Runners:

  6. Here's another new submission worth mentioning here: Wreck in the Abyss by Ian Malcolm
  7. The box art for the LEGO Ideas Treehouse has just leaked over on IG, and it looks quite lovely...
  8. Excellent idea for a contest Bob! Say, seeing that you've popped on by, I just remembered your two Runner Mechs in relation to this topic! Perhaps @Henchmen4Hire could add that as a conceptual possibility for the index of racing machines she's created in the OP! Eurobricks - [MOC] The Running Flamingo Eurobricks - [MOC] The Road Runner

  10. Dude, talk about NPU overload! Your reusage of that "Spinjitzu Tornado" part caught my eye in particular, and those "spring-sprung missiles" surprisingly don't look outta place within the alien foliage! P.S. On a side note, the lighting in that shot makes the spacemen look Flame Yellowish Orange rather than Bright Yellow.
  11. One half of Lonely Mountain was not far off that. And that shows some of the problem. Creating something epic looking in even a £100 / $130 set is always going to look a bit ... lacking. In comparison to that prequel's rendition of Emerald City specifically, yeah, even the set's geometric ornamental touches that build suggests closely follow a similar look. Still, regarding what you said about encapsulating such architectural styles within a playset, it shouldn't be as hard evoking a particular look as it was with Lonely Mountain when set designers are dealing with a property of their own rather than another's. Sorry about being unclear. The Teslapunk Warhammer Knight. It gives me just the right amount of grimdark tingles and the aesthetic isn't far off "real" castle. Nor Gunpowder era either come to look at the coat and legs a little closer, with breastplate and open face helm or a shako it would be a nice transition piece from Knights to Napoleonic (?). Oh, by the way, I've just discovered some conceptual artwork that comes just a little closer to the look I'd like to see for such a theme's character design: ArtStation - Art Deco Armor Design (1920) by Léo Gontier
  12. With the release of Spider-Man: Far From Home this week, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has conclusively wrapped-up both its third phase and the collective "Infinity Saga" as a whole. So, looking back, what are your favorite cinematic entries into the MCU for each phase?
  13. It is a pretty cool look, hence why I featured it here as a hypothetical option for such; but, for me, the aesthetic direction I'd really want such a theme to head is more towards a heavy Jazz Age Art Deco look. While I can't find any particular artwork for a knight or feudal archetype within that vein, architecturally, Emerald City as portrayed in Disney's 2013 prequel Oz: The Great and Powerful is probably the closest citable example for how I'd like to see a castle done within such a theme (just not as green):
  14. Sweet! I'm really digging the long-hooded shaping, color scheme, and ornamentation on this latest build of yours, as it has the air of a Gatsby-Era automobile...
  15. Much like this upcoming third installment, I'd be cool if the next "Adventurers" theme were to not just be limited to only a single location for each individual wave, rather including multiple different locations from around the world from playset-to-playset within each wave, with the theme's protagonists in search of a series of interlinked artifacts scattered across the globe within the ruins of a wide variety of ancient cultures. In short, it'd truly be a globetrotting adventure!
  16. We're over due for a Studios like line, or even just a news truck. With all the crime and fires in LEGO City, where's all the people to document it? Heck, even do a newspaper and journalists. I would absolutely love a full blown Studios theme, complete with trailers, cameras and sets. The kind of sets I'd wish to see from a Studios subtheme of City's would include camera-rigged vehicles (cars, helicopters, etc) and cranes for filming large outdoor set pieces for big-budget tentpole movies within the city limits, much in the spirit of the original Studios theme.
  17. Which "second picture" might I ask? The Teslapunk Warhammer Knight or the cityscape artwork?

  19. I certainly hope they are, because that's one of the primary reasons I joined Eurobricks: To catch their ear (or somebody's at least)... While I'd like to see any of those themes return to build themselves some Ninjago-sized legacies, with what we have now, I'll gladly settle for one-and-done runs once again (just as long as they try something new next time around). At least something Steampunk, Dieselpunk, Decopunk, Teslapunk, Raypunk...
  20. Perhaps a Space theme that finds a crew of wormhole explorers stuck back in medieval times? I personally would wish to see such a theme specifically take a "Deco-Futuristic" route, with Tesla weaponry and armor much akin to this... ...or maybe something more like this:
  21. Preferably, I'd just like to see such a theme be no more than LEGO Racers in Space, thereby keeping it simple with no intricate plot or antagonists. With an exclusion of antagonistic characters, there's not as heavy of a need for as many "dual" playsets that other story-driven themes would typically offer; rather, the bulk of the theme's offerings could instead be mostly made up of "Great Vehicle" sets, each one featuring a wildly unique character and their own insane ride to match! Heh, I kinda dig this whole idea, app and all!
  22. Here are a few themes I'd wish to see revisited at least in premise or purpose sometime in the near future. While I know some of them have had contemporary counterparts after the fact, I may personally consider those follow-ups lacking in some respect, hence feeling the need for a proper reboot that can live up to the original: ADVENTURERS: With 2011's Pharaoh's Quest, it didn't seem like that theme offered much promise for further globetrotting adventures beyond Egypt if there were any likelihood for future waves; so, here's to hoping the next in-house "Adventurers" theme has greater ambitions in those respects. ATLANTIS: While it may have been a part of the broader "Aquazone" umbrella of action themes, I still hope to someday see this location revisited in a future action/adventure theme, even if it's next time under a broader Adventurers umbrella as a subtheme of such instead. EXO-FORCE: Though many have complained of the saturation of mecha across a wide variety of playthemes nowadays, that still doesn't mean I wouldn't want to see another System-based theme with a premise primarily revolving around such! If it'd turn out anything like Pacific Rim, they can most certainly take my money! MONSTER FIGHTERS: Man, an awful lotta people here on this topic sure were clamoring for this theme to return! And yeah, that theme really did have a lot going for it, even though I personally feel the sets it did offer were lacking in some respects. But, if they were to revisit at least its most basis premise (it's all in the name), I'd really love for it to take a Lovecraftian, Noir/Pulp approach next time around... NEXO KNIGHTS: Yeah, I know there's a whole lotta loathing for this theme from many, but for me, it's my favorite of the in-house "big bang" themes seen from Lego in more recent history. While I don't necessarily wish to see them rehash the theme as it was verbatim, I'd at least hope to see Lego revisit the "futuristic knights and chivalry" trope someday for another all-new theme, perhaps next time either as a full-on Space theme or something within a Retrofuturistic vein. RACERS: Speed Champions may be an awesome theme, but often I wish it were rather a part of a broader umbrella theme, much akin to what the former Racers theme was. Like Mecha, I know many of Racers' offerings have been accommodated in plenty of other preexisting themes currently, but there are some things those themes couldn't accommodate that a Racers theme could. TIME CRUISERS/TIME TWISTERS: As far as future action/adventure themes go, Lego's just gotta give time travel another chance, right?
  23. I don't know where it can be found, but I believe it may have been first brought to light by Brick Journal way back when.
