Lego City 2019 - Rumours, Speculation and Discussion
Digger of Bricks replied to TheArturro's topic in LEGO Town
Aw shoot, so that's what it must be... Dang, when I initially saw that leak, I thought it was going to be for some new Action/Adventure theme. -
By the way, we may now have leaked confirmation of what may be at least a Duplo set for next year: 1089(?) LEGO Toy Story Train * MSRP $19.99 DPCI 204-00-0220 * The final digit of the set number was cut off in the post's image, hence the question mark.

It may perhaps be nothing more than a Duplo set, but this was taken from over on Instagram from some leaker, likely for January of next year: 1089(?) LEGO Toy Story Train * MSRP $19.99 DPCI 204-00-0220 * The final digit of the set number was cut off in the post's image, hence the question mark.

Over from Instagram, we have a leaked set number, MSRP, and DPCI for some Ideas set slated for this year: 21315 LEGO Ideas 2018_4 MSRP $69.99 DPCI 204-00-0320 Perhaps it's the Pop-Up Book? -
Guys, what is this? Over on Instagram under the account of a certain leaker, there was this mysterious-sounding set name, with corresponding set number, MSRP, and DPCI... 60210 LEGO Sky Police Air Base MSRP $89.99 DPCI 204-00-0347

What was the last movie you watched?
Digger of Bricks replied to EbonHawk's topic in Culture & Multimedia
Well, put most simply, very quirky yet kinda fun. I'll just say, this has been only the second Wes Anderson film I've seen so far, the other being The Darjeeling Limited. I've never taken any particular interest in watching many of his other films, but since I'd read Dahl's original book when I was younger, I decided to check out Anderson's take on it last night. Now, as I just said, even though I've only seen two of his films up onto this point, I still find this one "Honest Trailer" of his work very amusing... -
With nothing being said up onto this point by Warner Brothers regarding the fate of The Billion Brick Race, it's likely safe to assume that we won't be seeing that movie for 2019, and therefore not to expect one of 2019's three CMSs to be done for that cinematic spinoff. So, having addressed that, I'm personally expecting January's CMS to be (without a doubt) for The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, Series 19 (non-themed hopefully) to be released for either May or September, and a second Disney CMS for whichever month S19's release date doesn't fall on. If anything, I feel Lego will want to give us that inevitable second Disney CMS for next year over a second Wizarding World CMS, as so to save the latter for late 2020 to coincide with the theatrical release of Fantastic Beasts 3.

Well, Mark Stafford (a.k.a @Nabii) said himself right on this very discussion topic that he had designed some of the upcoming playsets; so, with that said, I doubt he'd be working on constraction sets.

Hey, now that's a sweet mod you've cooked up there! But, I must confess though, I'm still a much bigger fan of your initial design, especially with its large, retro-styled front intake, bow-curved canopy, and singular tail-fin. P.S. By the way, unless you currently don't have an account, you should also share this over on Flickr!

That's alright, I understand. Well, if I were to suggest more popular and relevant properties for future consideration, perhaps animated Warner Brothers franchises such as Looney Tunes, Hanna Barbera, and even Animaniacs could be something to consider for the future.

Inspirational Modular and Castle MOCs
Digger of Bricks replied to LegoModularFan's topic in LEGO Town
This Scooby-Doo themed modular inspired after 75904 Mystery Mansion is kinda cool. P.S. Check out some of his other creations too, if anyone here hasn't seen them already.- 817 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Digger of Bricks replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Hmm, much like that figure we thought we were going to see for Series 13... The Brick Fan - LEGO Collectible Minifigures Series 13 (71008) Minifigure Leaked? Speaking of such, @jonwil recently filled out a suggestion form over at this below linked topic for a Director CMF that would utilize the new megaphone part from Flitwick. -
Alright then, well, I do have a somewhat unusual suggestion. There's a popular cosplay artist by the name of Hannah Alexander who's specially is Art Nouveau/Alphonse Mucha inspired reimaginings of anime, comic, and Disney characters. I've always admired much of her artwork, and I thought that it'd be kinda cool to see some of her reimaginings translated into either minifigure or minidoll form, particularly her 2014 series of Disney Princess reimaginings. LEGO Elves 2018
Digger of Bricks replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Even better, a Raypunk styled retro space theme, something more taking after the 1930's aesthetic of comic strips such as Buck Rogers and Flash Gordon as opposed to the eighties, Blade Runner aesthetic of Cyberpunk.- 568 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Digger of Bricks replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
It'd have to be, as I doubt they'd make two "regular" themed series in a row. If anything, I'd imagine Series 20 may be at the most a themed series, or have at the very least a Mr. Gold-like chase figure. -

I really dig that reinvented color scheme replacing the Bright Blue with Earth Blue, plus the usage of those White A-Wing tailfin parts and Nexo Knights spear tips both work quite nicely. You're most welcome! As always, best of luck to you!- 991 replies

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
Digger of Bricks replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
As far as historical archetypes go, I also think we need more representation for both popular and cultural fashions of the past for both men and women in the CMS line. Even up unto this point, I'm surprised that we haven't seen one yet of either type, whether it be modern or historical. I mean, if you're not counting the S18 Classic Policeman, law enforcement archetypes have seen at least three variant CMFs so far.
