  1. Dang, you don't see many TMNT creations around in the AFOL-sphere very often, let alone ones of a scale as enormous as this...
  2. Nonetheless, Bo Peep would be a pretty cool CMF to see too!
  3. Oh my... ... that's just magnificently greebltastic!!!
  4. Well, someone over on the Modular Building Discussion topic did mention how the JB Aston Martin listed alongside the others on this purported inventory sheet was misspelled as an "Austin Martin". So.....
  5. Typically, so far Creator Expert cars have been of classic models, while modern models seem to be reserved for similarly scaled Technic sets. It's no longer there. What was it?
  6. Lady Justice? That's freaking brilliant!
  7. So, as opposed to something in the vein of 1950's Googie architecture, how about a modular mechanic's shop more akin to this for instance?
  8. The Brick Fan - LEGO Speed Champions 2019 Set Images
  9. Screen Rant - Bumblebee Reveals Full Optimus Prime G1 Movie Design
  10. Also, I'd love to see either a comic-inspired or MCU First Avenger variant of Bucky Barnes:
  11. It was talked about seldomly in relation to rumors of next year's modular: Personally, if the rumors are true, I'm hoping it will be a 1964 model.
  12. While I may consider myself to be a certified Art Deco nut, honestly, even I am not really that thrilled about the possibility of another Googie/Populuxe styled modular for the second year in a row. Now, if it took after more of a Jazz Age class of Art Deco architecture, that would be another story... That first project is designed by @Robenanne of The Old Fishing Store by the way... Indeed! Most intriguing... Well, not necessarily. I could see such a set being stylistically more in vein with the Detective's Office than the Downtown Diner. By that, imagine a modular taking after the look and feel of industrial buildings from the first half of the twentieth century.
  13. I do wish the MCU version of the character resembled that variant more, something like this early pre-production concept art for the 2014 film:
  14. BioShock's kinda like Decopunk gone wrong, drunk on waaaay too much Ayn Rand. First, yeah, I've heard such a term coined for USSR-centric Dieselpunk before. Second, that game may look hyper-good as far as graphics go; but, I just can help but scoff at so many videogames' over-to-top, comical gore, and that one was no exception.
  15. Who else here wants to see a classic, comic-styled Star-Lord minifigure?!
  16. Yes, most people may treat retrofuturistic "punk" genres as mere style identities (and that's perfectly alright); but, at heart, it's supposed to be a alternate historical designation. Nah, that helmet of his in particular is so totally Decopunk (a more upbeat subset of Dieselpunk BTW). Not always, as Dieselpunk's little sisters Decopunk and Raypunk can be (more often than not) as optimistic and forward-looking as Steampunk typically is. Yet even according to Wikipedia, that's not agreed upon by everyone: Wikipedia - Dieselpunk (Dieselpunk Inspiration)
  17. Gorgeous display! These builds are still just as stunning as the first time you showcased them!
  18. Thinking about this again, it might be beneficial reposting select creations hosted at Flickr over on Instagram if they're posted by users who seem to be inactive, have more than a thousand photos hosted there, and are not Flickr Pro members. Why? Well, if there's a possibility they've neglected/forgotten their account over time, they may have excess posts of theirs unknowingly deleted due to the site's upcoming changes. You probably can see where I'm going with this...
  19. Here are some additional titles I've checked out since then, mostly being from DC's Elseworlds: 1998's Superman: War of the Worlds by Roy Thomas and Michael Lark. 1996's Batman: Dark Allegiances by Howard Chaykin. 1989's Batman: Gotham by Gaslight by Brian Augustyn and Mike Mignola. 2010's Superman: Secret Origin by Geoff Johns and Gary Frank. 2000-2001's Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham by Mike Mignola, Richard Pace, Troy Nixey, and Dennis Janke. 2009's Spider-Man Noir and its 2010 sequel Spider-Man Noir: Eyes Without a Face. 2011's Iron Man Noir by Scott Snyder and Manuel Garcia.
  20. Sorry to be the nitpicking retrofuturist here once again, but Fallout falls more into the designation of Post-Apocalyptic Atompunk. Mad Max, on the other hand, doesn't look like World War II was the turning point in its alternate timeline, but rather near the end of the Cold War when the first film was made. ^THIS^
  21. These two currently active LEGO Ideas projects by Namirob are worth a mention here: LEGO Ideas - Modular Old Winter Villa LEGO Ideas - Medieval Blacksmith I think promotion through Eurobricks alone would more than help skyrocket its popularity if you ask me; and yes, I do have to agree on the issue of Instagram, as I've contemplated doing the same with my own account and having the same dilimina. My only question is, would it attract more people to Eurobricks, or divert their attention from it?
  22. Check out @DK_Titan's latest beauty! Heck, why not?! Personally, if we were to indeed take this topic (and its potential medieval counterpart) that direction, not only do I think that could be a BOATLOAD of fun, it would also keep in line with its purpose as a source of inspiration for architectural builders!
