  1. That's good to hear, I really would like to see this finished - even if it's not for TC12...
  2. Here's a completely "thinking outside the box" solution: Mount the light sensor on a motor, which can then scan for the flashlight - without the car even moving. After finding the direction of the light, have the car move toward it. ...or a ultrasonic sensor
  3. Thanks, that's actually one of the reasons why I chose yellow and black - as they contrast very well, with both themselves, and the white background. I'm going to leave it manual, the hull is already too full, and I would also need to add another receiver, as I have already used all the outputs on the other two. By the way, your signature is great, I really like those 10 jokes...
  4. Wow, what a crazy vehicle! You've certainly gone for maximum wackiness, rather than worrying about looks. (which is kind of what I'm doing...) I think this will do quite well in the competition...
  5. It almost seems like that's a pre-race wacky function - to shake up all your opponents before they race against you! Also, I think the name change was a good idea, as "people mover" didn't really sound very wacky...
  6. If you make the rest of the model mostly black, it should look really good!
  7. There is also one for LDraw too:
  8. I depends where you measure from, but these are the main measurements: Main body of truck = 18 studs/14.3 cm/5.6 inches Outriggers = 24 studs/19 cm/7.5 inches Because I also don't have it built, I got the measurements from the LDD file from here: By the way, why do you need these measurements?
  9. Very interesting concept, but are they going to be connected? Because they would need to be...
  10. A bus that dumps it's passengers?! - that's definitely wacky! (and very funny)
  11. Once again.. Not that I'd ever try it... Edit: It's on page 129, and I only know that because I had it open right in front of me... ON THAT PAGE!!!
  12. I like it, but I think the grille might be angled slightly too much...
  13. Main update time! Days 37+38: I started work on the motorized lifting mechanism again (it seems to work quite well!), and made a short video of it (without tank attached). Day 39: More work on lifting mechanism - building the hull around it, fitting it between the tracks. Day 40: Built scorpion tail (with cannon attached!), some more work on tank hull and engine. (see photo in post above) Day 41 (today): I put all the major components together (tracks, lift mechanism, engine, and tail), and this is what I came up with: (and yes, the V10 is back again!) And I think is starting to look very much like the drawing (minus the mouth/eyes, and the space for the driver)... what do you think?
  14. , isn't it amazing the fun you can have with a bit imagination!
  15. Nice, it looks great! I really like the use of skeleton arms on the wheels - not something you see very often...
  16. Normally you can't judge a MOC by it's name, but not with this! - It's exactly what it's says it is, and is very well done too! I really like it! Great work!
  17. Er... what's happened to the photos?
  18. Very strange... I seem to have no limit to how many members I can send a PM to - I reached 15 before I ran out of names I could remember! Maybe it only tells you when you actually send the message...
  19. Well, I would say yes, it's slightly too big, but I think that it will be okay after I have added the big engine... I'm currently putting everything together, so I should have photos (and a update) of it later today.
  20. That actually looks quite good, as the grey contrasts nicely with the black disks and the tires.
  21. Another quick update... I have built the scorpion tail @Thirdwigg, what do you think? I personally think that it's got a few too many holes in it, but I can't really find a way to fill them in... Also, do you think that I should leave the rubber-bands on the cannon, or should I remove them? (I added them because there wasn't much yellow at the end of the tail)
  22. Assuming that it would be too big for A4, you'd just need to chop the image (on the computer) in to pieces that can fit on A4, and then piece them back together once you have printed them out. As for printing it the right scale, I'm sorry to say that you can't do it first go, you need to print out a test page, and then measure it to work out the correct scale for printing. Note, this will be much harder than you think - I should know, it took me 6 or 7 tries just to print a dial for my safe! One funny thing I must say, the only time I did what you're trying to do, I ended up printing it the perfect size (and I mean PERFECT) first try! - so it just goes to show, you might get lucky...
  23. I might be the only one, but... I really like those old tires!
  24. I vote no plow too, it just doesn't look right... Also, the claws look even better than I was expecting!
