[TC12] Formula Punch
mocbuild101 replied to deehtha's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
My final thoughts: + great modular design, mini V-16, punching function works very well. - would have looked a bit better without the yellow parts... Good luck! -
What I tend to do, is to pick up one of my special parts (usually a motor), and just start building something with it - I usually find a use for it when I'm finished. That's how I ended up building my drift chassis - I just picked up the buggy motor a looked for the simplest way to attach wheels to it. In fact, I'm actually doing this right now... with two buggy motors!

[TC12] Dualshot
mocbuild101 replied to Aventador2004's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
My final thoughts: + dual steering makes it very maneuverable (which is very good for a race!). - not enough thought was put into the design - it could have been a lot better... Good luck! (and sorry for saying that you didn't have any chance of winning...)- 58 replies

[TC12] Highflyer
mocbuild101 replied to Leonard Goldstein's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
That makes sense, I guess when you've put a lot of work into them, you don't want to just cover them up... Yes, that would be good! Yes, I knew I hadn't commented on some of the entries, and I thought it would be easier just to comment on all of them, rather than trying to find the ones I missed. -
No, here on Eurobricks: https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/forum/115-lego-technic-mindstorms-model-team

[TC12] Highflyer
mocbuild101 replied to Leonard Goldstein's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
My final thoughts: + lifting function is very wacky, excellent design with lots of clever constructions (including the special rims). - wheels don't look very good - the rims should have been covered with something... Good luck! -
4x4 Rock Crawler
mocbuild101 replied to Toni-23's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
What are you using to control that? Both the Sbrick and PF can't handle that high voltage...- 14 replies

Very clever... I never though of using the beacon tracking for something like this! You should have used a LED globe - it produces almost no heat at all!

[TC12] Jack the lifter
mocbuild101 replied to msk6003's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
My final thoughts: + works great, very original and different. - unusual choice of vehicle. (but I guess that might be good for this...) Good luck! -

8: 10 3: 6 23: 4 12: 3 21: 2 15: 1 It was hard to pick who to vote for, as there was so much diversity! I will be posting my final thoughts on each entry, on their respective topics, but there is one thing I will say - Good luck!

What a great vehicle to build! I will following this with interest, as I was actually planning on building a similar type of vehicle myself. (but not based off anything) That should make it a bit easier to model...

It is possible to have steering at the same time as outriggers: Move the red liftarm for steering, and move the blue liftarms for the outriggers.
