  1. It must have been very repetitive building all those...
  2. Thanks, it was really fun building something where nothing makes any sense! Thanks, I'm just glad that three days of editing was worth it! Yes, and it's one of the only animals that can eat Lego bananas...
  3. I never thought about it like that, and now that you point it out, it seems much wackier! I actually didn't plan on having so much, but after I put the first 2 stud-shooters on, I just kept finding places to put more... I only just manged to stop myself from putting some in the drivers hands... Well to be honest, I'm a bit surprised myself! Though I only just managed to squeeze them all in - in fact, many of the mechanisms are sharing the same space - like the gears for the spinning sweeper, which are almost touching the gears of the lifting mechanism!
  4. All but one... I have now submitted my entry to the entry topic, though I'm already thinking of changing a few things...
  5. 11. The Banana Scorpion "The Banana Scorpion is designed to shoot, sweep away, or climb over any obstacle, hazard, or opponent that stands in it's way - so it will always finish the race!" - Mocbuild101 - designer of the Banana Scorpion. Essential Functions: Drive: Tank tracks - powered by 2x M-motors. Steering: Tank type skid steering - powered by drive motors. Engine: A massive V8 - powered by a high speed motor. Other wacky functions: Lifting hull mechanism: To gain a height advantage over other vehicles - powered by M-motor. Spinning sweeper: To sweep away hazards and obstacles - powered by high-speed motor. Weapons: - for destroying obstacles, and damaging opponents vehicles. (so they need to stop for repairs) Cannon: A giant cannon mounted on the end of the adjustable scorpion tail. Stud-shooters: Front: 2x six-round, and 2x single-round - Rear: 4x single-round. Spring-shooters: 2x rear-mounted. (can be triggered by driver) Racing statistics: Driver: A Big Giant Banana-eating Tiger! Color: Yellow, with some black and grey. Height: 28 cm. (to top of tail) Length: 35 cm. (from front stud-shooters, to rear side of tail) Width: 18 cm. (to outsides of tracks) Strategy: To push through any obstacle, and to always finish the race - no matter what is thrown at it! Video: (make sure to turn on your sound!) And don't forget, you can comment and share your thoughts on the discussion topic:
  6. I have finished editing the video! I hope you like it, as this is my first ever YouTube video, and also my first ever HD video! (and probably my most time consuming video too! )
  7. I see it as well, and it definitely should confuse the other racers!
  8. Wow, you've made a lot of progress since your last update! And it looks great!
  9. Looks good, but I think the front/back and back/front could do with some more panels... (but I guess it's a bit hard with the steering moving so much)
  10. I just changed the hue of the yellow. Like this: Colors -> Hue-Saturation -> tick the color you want to change (limited) -> move the slider to change the hue. So am I... But for the moment, here's a couple of bloopers: Video Bloopers.mp4 (just because I'm not going to show it anywhere else ) Anyway, to get back on topic, here's a photo I forgot to post:
  11. Thanks, I used the same program I use for all my pictures - GIMP.
  12. Is it a race car? Is it a fire truck? Is it a carnival? No - it's all of the above, and now it's going to enter a race! Great work, and a very original idea!
  13. Oh well, you did have a lot of projects going, and I guess one of them had to take a hit eventually...
  14. Indeed! And I must admit, the happiest moment was when I placed the final piece, and sat back to admire it. Yes, but I've been thinking about it in my head for awhile, so all I need to do is make it real...
  15. I'm FINISHED!!!! And here is the update: (I know, I should have updated it sooner, but I wanted to keep it as a surprise ) Day 48: I started looking for a new driver, and found one in the form of a Tiger! (this one) Days 49-52: Continued shaping the hull, built a spot for the driver, and added even more stud-shooters! Day 53: I decided that I needed another wacky function, and I realized that I could use the V8 to power it, and managed to squeeze in a small spinning sweeper. Day 54: My Bricklink order finally arrived, so I was able to finish the shaping of the hull, and rebuild the tracks - which means I'm now finished building!!! Now I just need to make the video... Done! And you can look at them all here: https://bricksafe.com/pages/mocbuild101/tc12---banana-tank/rainbow-gallery And yes, I even did one in pink! (sorry @I_Igor )
  16. ...Spiderwheel? ...The Arachnowheel?
  17. I like it, it's very different, and perfect for Wacky Wheeeeeeeels!
  18. I doubt this has anything to do with Lego...
  19. Well you will need to work quick, because there's only 8 days left to enter!
  20. You will need some diffusers then...to be continued... I'm going to send you a PM shortly, as we are going way to far off topic...
  21. Something I'd like to see, is Technic angle joiners with axle holes instead of pin holes - we already have the #1 version, in the form of 32039, so why not all the others?
  22. That's good, and I was right - Lego did move their downloads to a new server! It was: http://cache.lego.com/downloads/ldd2.0/installer/setupLDD-PC-4_3_10.exe (still doesn't work) And now it is: https://lc-www-live-s.legocdn.com/downloads/ldd2.0/installer/setupLDD-PC-4_3_10.exe (works fine)
  23. Well yes, as long as you can keep it smooth and flat...
  24. Nice to se some more progress, but I think it needs something visually wacky... Maybe a cannon on the roof, or some wheel spikes? Well, to be honest, I'd say no, and no - I think they would just ruin the nice clean color scheme you have.
  25. I would recommend a sheet of A2 paper, and 2-3 (ordinary) lamps with LED globes - it's what I am using (along with a few other minor things), and it's very easy to set up. Also, don't forget, a little computer editing goes a long way... especially with the right program. By the way I'm happy to go more in-depth about it - if you're interested...
