  1. On a (yet unfinished) build of mine I use instead of your , with the center hole attached to the chassis (tan pins) and a spring on both the grey pins of the connector. Keeps it nicely symmetrical. Works best with old versions of this part, as the pins on those have tremendous friction power making it nearly impossible to lose the spring 'in operation'. In your build it will make the spring assembly 2 studs shorter compared to current setup, so you'd have to rearrange some stuff to accommodate it...
  2. Nice review as always: clear, informative and elaborate! For me it doesn't spark anything, this set is just not for me I guess... It is very nice though to finally see a 3 speed remote transmission in an official set. And smart design with the 4th speed being the bucket tilt. A major letdown for me is the total absense of any suspension. Even the 42070 was better than nothing imho... And @Sariel, you missed the #21 & #22 mini panel pair in yellow as 'parts in new color'...
  3. Looks good, you've been able to package all systems very tightly and very clean! Those C+ motors look like real solid structural braces, your chassis will be pretty stiff I assume. Is the steering pivot only swiveling left-right, and is up/down or rotational movement being handled by the suspension? Or is the entire back section of the chassis attached to that large turntable (allowing the rotational movement)?
  4. Good call, seems the most likely reason indeed (and so obvious that you'll easily overlook it...).
  5. Seems an easy subject to create from the parts available. I guess it will emerge as an alternate fan-build a few weeks after the first sets are sold...
  6. Nice review. Looks like a decent solid set and indeed a nice addition to the medium scale truck range. Only gripe I have is the unloading while driving backwards. Especially with this turning radius (so you have to move back and forth a few times to make a proper turn) I foresee lots of lost DBG 1l beams... A little ratchet should not have been too difficult...
  7. I think not. On EB it is possible to create a topic, but hide it from public view until a predefined date and time. Maybe this function is not there for all members, but I know it exists. This topic was not visible this morning, so I assume it was set to reveil at 14:00 CET today just like the embargo asks.
  8. @Ctan check the vids in the opening post ('part 3' is a good example). He uses the printed parts for mounting components in a 'normal' LEGO built case. The updates indeed focus much on the custom parts only...
  9. Yup, or at least it is a great benefit of having them. It will work for the 8 tooth gear (with a 1 stud offset to center), and a 16 tooth (with 0.5 stud offset to center) as well. It is probably also saving quite a lot of material considering the total amount of parts produced...
  10. Impressive performance! Even more so considering you used only (except wheels) 42077 parts, which are not optimized for hardcore offroading. Well done!
  11. +1. I've been checking back here on every update, and although I could never imagine myself doing this (I haven't got the tools for it, nor the desire to stray away from being a purist), it is growing on me more and more. Can't wait to actually see a full cage emerging. Fascinating is indeed the correct word for this!
  12. Nice start, I like your axle design. But since you are going to motorize it, wouldn't it be better to use the newer stronger RC-differentials (with the red gear on it)? Or was your choise for these older diffs intentional?
  13. Wow, you really mastered that set... that is an insane amount of C-models (and alternates). I like that you also did some non-vehicle builds, the plane is a very nice surprise coming from this set!
  14. 1:10 is my favorite scale for cars! I have 3 different 1:10 car projects in the works simultaneously (not based on real cars), but I can't get myself to finish them at the moment, other smaller builds are consuming most of my time... My current focus is mostly on gearbox configurations (trying to fit a properly working 8-speed in a 1:10 is a daunting challenge..), but I think I might have to switch my attention to suspensions a bit more after that. A lot is still possible in this scale.
  15. You beat me to it... Edit: @desert752 's Merlo Roto is also a great one: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-22024/desert752/merlo-roto-telehandler/
  16. I've sent you a PM with the download link from my personal google drive. Let me know if it works for you.
  17. I love 1:10 scale, it gives enough room for functions, while maintains 'small' enough to provide a decent challenge to get it all to fit together. You really did a great job on this car, it's very recognizable. I especially like the rear end. The front also has all the key characteristics, but somehow lacks a bit of personality. It's probably because the parts used for the grille and lights are a bit out of scale for this size. Also impressive functions all around. Personally I am not a big fan of custom engines like these (the classic blocks seem perfect for 1:10 & 1:8 scale), but I can understand why you used it here. In terms of bodywork techniques, I would try to avoid this amount of 'beam-stacking' in the roof and bonnet, it makes the overall look a bit busy. It's not a big deal though, it would be more apparent in other colors, black is the most 'forgiving' color. If you would have placed the beams lenghtwise instead of transverse (to the cars orientation) it would also be a bit smoother to the eye. But all-in-all, you did great, there is not a whole lot to further improve I think.
  18. Instructions are now available for free on Rebrickable: https://rebrickable.com/mocs/MOC-47578/Rudivdk/modification-of-hot-rodster-by-agrof-no-pullback/
  19. I think you made the right compromises in this model, looks perfect and as Erik Leppen said, it is surprisingly functional for it's size. Even the colors work really good in this combo. Well done, reminds me of the '90's when B-models where often like this: a total surprise compared to the A-model, both in looks and functions.
  20. Thanks mate, but all credits on the looks go to Agrof who designed this... Anyway, this is a much simpler build than your hotrod, this has no suspension at all so it can be much more compact and sleek. Still it is a fun model to roll around, and my kids love it for its racy looks, they prefer it over the pickup truck
  21. With all the pneumatic hoses and pumps and electric wires and stuff it would be quite some work to make full CAD based instructions, especially when you have little experience. I'd suggest going for a photo sequence (reverse breakdown) to save you some time... I personally hardly ever build other people's MOCs (I'd rather use some photo's as inspiration to build something of my own), so I can't comment on the demand for instructions.
  22. Thanks, glad you appreciate it . The original design from Agrof was already so clean and smart, that I felt it deserved more than a pullback motor and handcranked engine. The space was small (in essence, only the size of the pullbackmotor to work with), so I had to come up with a smart solution as well, hence the crossover. The only exterior concession is the trackwidth of the front axle, I had to increase it 1 stud (0,5 left and 0,5 right) to make the steering hubs fit properly in between. Yes, the balloons fit the truck as well (a little rubbing on maximum articulation, but I accept that in this scale). I have a few final tweaks to make to the truck and trailer (and do the vid and instructions for the rodster), I will post a new thread for the truck towards the end of the week I hope.
  23. I was looking forward for this post to show up for some time now I'll be watching this one, can't wait to see how this will end Good luck!
  24. This is absolutely an amazing MOC. Looks really good, is very very functional and with relatively low number of parts too it seems. Great to see some pneumatics in there (with motorized pump I assume?), they are not used often enough I feel... This is what Technic is about as far as I am concerned. Well done!!
