  1. The empty space in the front is telling me "Oh just put the engine there!" Too bad it's a rear-engine car
  2. Hmm, might have to build this someday... In the meantime, I'll wait for your next model to see how this performs!
  3. It would look like 4 or so flex axles, since that's about all I have
  4. I've been super busy, but got some time yesterday to work on the hood, trunk, and wing. Still some fine-tuning (pun intended) to go. S2K - WIP 3 by VKTechnic, on Flickr
  5. I love the color scheme! Great job
  6. The main point of this car was to make an aesthetically pleasing car, not to cram a bunch of functions into a tiny package. Granted, it is possible to make small models with lots of functions and details (example), but this is a) not my building style, and b) I don't want to build something that's already been built.
  7. Thanks everyone for all the kind words! You're too kind
  8. For a second I thought that this car had an LPE in it. Either way, awesome job! So many details I lost count...
  9. Looks ambitious but promising. Looking forward to more updates!
  10. Finally back with an update! Worked a lot on the [swapped] engine, all of the intercooler, exhaust, and NOS piping is done. Plus, I added a cool(ish) air intake. S2K - WIP 2 by VKTechnic, on Flickr Seat credits go to Jeroen Ottens and his awesome Alfa Romeo 4C. I had to modify them a bit to fit the scale and my parts collection. Here's a close-up of the engine bay, can you guess which engine this is? S2K - WIP 2 by VKTechnic, on Flickr I also decided to go with an aftermarket coffee-can-style exhaust system; I've heard making your exhaust sound like farts means your car goes faster. S2K - WIP 2 by VKTechnic, on Flickr Look forward to hearing your feedback!
  11. Great job everyone, awesome models all around. 26th place, and I can honestly say that I deserved it :) Well, that's embarrassing. Should have read the voting rules a bit more closely
  12. Yeah, that's pretty much what I'm looking for. Would be nice to make this thread be more of a collection of various seat designs than a "Hey, help me find x" thread.
  13. The suspension reminds me of ZBLJ's mini trial trucks from a few years ago:
  14. If you want to embed images from Flickr, use the BBcode option Oh, and awesome model! I really like the area around the doors, it looks very clean.
  15. Because I don't have enough studded parts to make good seats.
  16. I just now found myself at the point in my S2000 build where I need to make some seats, and I've been toying around for an hour or so without any success. I figured that this was most likely not an uncommon problem, so I figured it would be good to compile all the good-looking studless seats into one thread. So, if anyone has any cool seat designs they've seen, post them here!
  17. Really liked the panel work on the front end, sad to see this go.
  18. Are you using skid steering? Looks pretty promising so far
  19. Nice work! You captured all the lines of a Caddy very nicely, and there are so many great features. Can't wait to see this on TLCB
  20. Looks good so far. One thing I personally didn't really like about your TC6 model was the plain bodywork (too many 3x11 curved panels for my taste), maybe with a smaller model this won't look as bad. On a brighter note, functions are top notch, especially the bagged suspension. Looking forward to more updates
  21. Looks a bit like 8070, but overall, a very nice model Really want to see how it drives..
  22. Wow! Looks a lot better than mine! Only thing I'd suggest is making the rear fenders black to make the "stingray" design stand out more.
  23. I think LUGPol's Truck Trial rules are 1:13 scale of a real truck, suspension, and all wheel drive. No tracks allowed either.
  24. Riced out cars are always light and super fast, right?
