[MOC] "The death of Dr. Liet-Kynes" Diorama
Elysiumfountain replied to Aachthor's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
Very well done! I love the terrain especially, the sand dunes really flow! -
I have the original Black Pearl from 2011 and I have to say, this new version is awesome! I love the figurehead, even though the "aged copper" look reminds me of the Statue of Liberty. And the bird it's holding is a different color for some reason. Of course that's an incredible nitpick, but I'm looking forward to the official pictures.

Wonderfully done! The winter setting really pulls you into the scene. Very smooth landscaping. -
[MOC] Improved version of LEGO 10367 Balrog Book Nook
Elysiumfountain replied to Aachthor's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Gorgeously done and detailed! I especially love the way you played with the light on the columns, and the different shades of it as it moves further away. Well done! -

[MOC] Victorian Dollhouse, Version 2.0
Elysiumfountain replied to Elysiumfountain's topic in LEGO Town
Thank you so much! The furniture was definitely my favorite to try and create :) Many thanks! In the digital file, there were all sorts of wonky things like angles that didn't fit and pieces that were overlapping other pieces by a few millimeters and those bay windows didn't look like they'd work at all! I'm happy to say that there were none of those errors in the real life version :)- 22 replies

Fantastic job! There are so many things going on and so many little details to look out for. Very well done! -
Gorgeous! The tree especially looks so natural, I did a double take the first time I looked at it. The whole scene almost looks like a still out of a movie. Very well done!

I love all the landscaping, the transition between beach and rocks and grass with trees is very natural looking. The lamppost is so cool as well! -
Truly stunning! I think I find new little details that I've missed every time I look again at it. Very well done!

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Elysiumfountain replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
You're right, I didn't notice that! On Boutique Hotel and Police Station, they didn't have the technic pins in any of the photos except the ones where they demonstrate it's modular. On the Bookshop, the technic pins were sticking out but only in the video. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Elysiumfountain replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
That's a curiosity of mine as well, maybe there are other wings or buildings that are supposed to connect within the theme? Or is it more intended to be a standalone corner end of the street sort of deal that people add to their cities. -
Very nice build. The emotion is definitely conveyed.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Time to get back into the cycle of waiting for the email notifications on this thread, be disappointed when you get one and it isn't a leak or the reveal, and then knowing the reveal is out when you get 60 notifications at once! -
[MOC] The Beehive - Less than 500 votes needed!
Elysiumfountain replied to Sogenius106's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I love this one! I supported it a bit back, and I can't remember which number I was, but I hope it can make it to the 10k before time runs out! :) -

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Elysiumfountain replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Somewhat off topic, but I think BrickLink is becoming my weakness. Because I will look at official modulars and such and go "Oh, they're too expensive for me right now," and then turn around and spend upwards of that amount or slightly more on BrickLink orders for a MOC I'm working on... -
Very well done! I love all the little details on the inside, and the roof is very nicely built.
