  1. Well... My lowest motor count in a MOC has been 13 motors and the highest 19 motors so my preference is quite obvious. I love to build a MOC and then manipulate it to get it to do what I want without interfering with it directly. That proves my creation works without any help and that's really rewarding to me. I guess it's all comes down to a magic combination of preference, expectations and application I think, and that magic combination has a different ratio for everyone.
  2. The chairs tilting forward is a really nice touch. I know this is a harder build than it looks, and the hardest part is to get it to "reasonably realistically break" at the bottom. You have the skills however, so I'm curious to see how it will all end up!
  3. Nice model man! I have not seen this type of machine a lot before.
  4. Well, actually I made a few more slow-mo shot's but the video was getting too long . I do appreciate the constructive criticisms though!
  5. I agree, a video would be awesome. I'm curious to see what it can do! I love the red&black by the way, good work!.
  6. Well, I did think about these things and actually made a solution for it. The cabin can be set on the ground by the boom and if you then pull the 2 hinge pins it releases the cabin so the operator can control the whole crane remotely. The Idea was that the operator has a perfect overview when operating the crane, claw, jackhammer or bulldozer and could still have a safe distance when the wrecking ball is used. The best of both worlds, however the video was getting way to long so I decided not to showcase that feature. Here are some pictures of this concept:
  7. Hello gents! I love to destroy things, so an ultimate destruction machine was bound to happen. Enjoy! The left arm has a giant crusher claw for chopping structures down into smaller chunks and to do the more "delicate" work. And of course there's a bulldozer blade to tidy up the mess after wrecking a building. The right arm has a jackhammer to seperate pieces and weaken structures on key points. For the wreaking ball I used 2 old lego weights that together have some actual mass. I really wanted the outriggers to come out of the tracks, but this was a lot harder to realize than expected! The cabin raises with the boom, but it can also be set on the ground to remote control the machine. (didn't put it in the video because it's already REALLY long!) 3 battery boxes provide power to the entire MOC. The main turntable has a stand-alone PF system so it can turn freely. the turntable used is similar to the 42082 RTC. In total I used 18 motors controlled by 4 sbrick's and powered by 3 battery boxes. Hope you like it!
  8. That is SO cool! I love that you went technic figure scale with this! Now imagin an entire city like this!
  9. Damn! What a monster... Very nice! I know from experience that building big with LEGO can be quite a challenge structurally. Where did you have the most structural design problems in this MOC?
  10. Great work again mate! I appreciate that you always have interesting and/or unique builds!
  11. Hey man!

Loved your entry in the competition, I'm amazed it didn't get a prize and breaker23's boeing did!
In my eyes that's just a pretty model with VERY limited technical functions... in a TECHNIC competition...?:sceptic:.

    Still a good score though!

Anyway, I noticed the top 100 lego youtube channel badge in your signature and I looked up who awarded it.
It lead to a site called feedspot, witch is basically a payed promotional site as I understand for blogs and youtube channels to increase media reach.
I was wondering if this service is it worth the pay?
Does this actually work as genuine exposure that is noticeable on your channels analytics?

Peer Kreuger (friend of mine) mentioned you might be coming to the lowlug Schiedam meeting on the 19th.
I hope you do! I'd love to meet you and talk about YT channels a bit!

    Greetings,  Onno

  12. I love the idea, I've actually been thinking of this too. It could be a small competition, there could be a time limit, like from initiation to end move hast to be filmed in a continuous shot and can take no longer then 1 minute. A part or size limit seems unnecessarily in this type of contest I'd say because you can make awesome contraptions with rather few parts!
  13. Congratulations to the winners! I welcome you into the ranks of IMMORTAL! Great contest, and a LOT of nice builds! I can't wait to see the next contest!
  14. That would be a good application! To be honest I have rarely used the electromagnet in my builds. I tend to build LEGO things that manipulate other LEGO things so a magnet rarely has a good application sins almost nothing is metal.
  15. Well... This is a very pleasant innovation! It's hard to build something unique in LEGO sins so much has already been done, especially in the realm of super car MOC's but you definitely pulled it off!
  16. 3: 1010: 613: 412: 34: 25: 1Nice competition, some really interesting builds!
  17. Well... you got me there! Thinking back, the least motorized MOC I have posted was 13 motors I just love complex RC models I guess...
  18. If he wins I'm going to copyright-claim the prize!
  19. Looks like something I could have built LOL Technically I really like it as well, there's some things we don't see every day!
  20. Thanks man! I'm gland you finished it in time! I was in the Dutch armed forces for 6 years and we worked and trained with the Americans from time to time let me see if I can find a picture. edit: I made this in Germany in 2012 on exercise maneuvers (the Americans have a number of bases there).
  21. I Love these things! I've actually been in them twice IRL. I do really hope you finish it in time, but if not then it's still an awesome MOC!
  22. Line in the contest topic: A discussion topic needs to show some actual progress (i.e. pictures of the build in progress) and should NOT be used to "reserve an idea". "needs" is technically a requirement in this context I'd say, luckily the moderators end-goal here is to promote fun and you bring it so I think you're good. I agree with Erik, I also recommend you give it a shot even though it's outside of your comfort zone. Comments can be used to make your work better! Keep up the good work!
  23. Good looking, the colors really do POP! The contest requires an active build topic, this is just the finished model. Part of what makes contests fun is the following of the build topic's and to see how a MOC grows into it's final form. Could you show us some work in progress pictures?
  24. Looks fun! Lots of mechanical motion going on, your eyes need a second to identify all the individual motions. My eye doe go to the 2 axles at the top that seem longer than necessary. But that's an easy fix of course.
