Because unbelievably that’s many people’s main or even only reference to the subject. Visiting the museum in Belfast (excellent by the way) the stuff you overhear from tourists (“but in the movie...” etc) just makes you shake your head in despair. Whilst I’m curious to see an official set, I just wouldn’t buy it out of personal preference.

It’s this. -
Are you all mad? No way they’d include the iceberg (what would that even look like?!) It’s in poor taste for an already controversial set. Look what happened with Jabba’s Palace.

Icons Landmark Buildings - Rumours and Discussion

Thought did cross my mind (Fenway, which would then lead to Anfield) but it’s very niche sport other than US and maybe Japan. Limits sales. Then again, OT isn’t exactly iconic by any standards and a crumbling wreck, so who knows.- 259 replies

Comfortable isn’t the word I’d use. It won’t be anywhere near Colosseum big though, as @Vilhelm22 suggested, it’ll be Maersk-sized and priced accordingly.

Brickfanatics reporting this. If I had to guess, I’d say either Barcelona’s Camp Nou or the Allianz in Munich.- 259 replies

Years later I still kick myself for not grabbing the last Maersk instore... Anyway, whilst this definitely sounds an interesting build at this scale and the subject is fascinating (even more when I have family links), I’m not sure I’d personally want to display a model of a ship in which 1500 people lost their lives.

Not quite in hand yet but love the micro Temple of Airjitzu and also in general, the massive koi in clownfish livery. -

SL arrived this morning (as suspected the sender address was given as LEGO, Geel, Belgium) and had email confirming delivery of NG on Friday. Both were release day buys, although SL was a back order. -

Botanical Collection - Rumours and Discussion
Lucarex replied to Vilhelm22's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Belated thanks for the earlier photoshop, and yes, I really like the lighter “wood” base as you’ve built for real. Not a fan of the “poofy” look though sorry, looks more like a normal tree (one you could stick that new awful Winnie the Pooh minifig under) than a cultured layered bonsai. Especially love the alien bog plant in the instructions and have also grabbed a load of different coloured leaf elements (including pearl gold palms) with the idea being to swap out design every season. Currently sporting the 100 pink frogs of Sakura, yes I know it’s a couple of months early, but can’t help craving beauty and nature these days.- 137 replies

LEGO Ninjago 2021

Seems there’s probably a shipping hub somewhere in Benelux? I’ve discovered a new found patience these days, what with work, kids, and literally everything taking a lot longer to deliver. Got Spring Lantern and NG in a race (more tortoise than hare) to see who will be delivered first. It’ll be a nice surprise if one lands before the weekend. -
The Disneyfication vs Classic argument is one thing, but this minifig (think we can assume it’s legit from the dual molded arms) is awful. Megabloks awful.

Looks like my delivery expectations are being “managed” on my release day order *** Thanks for your recent LEGO® order. We know you’re waiting for it to arrive on your doorstep and the good news is it’s now reached our warehouse team. We wanted to let you know that our warehouse teams are following additional safety guidelines and we’re receiving a high volume of orders. We’re working hard to get your delivery to you as quickly as possible and you’ll receive another email once your order’s left our warehouse. The following products will be shipped soon: 40416 Ice Skating Rink V29 71741 NINJAGO® City Gardens V29 Thanks again for your order and we hope you have fun building! -
LEGO Ninjago 2021

It hasn’t really, just added to the paperwork. DPD appears back up and running and I’ve received 2 orders from LEGO since Jan 1st, with the Spring Lantern Festival now en route (back order). Yes my NCG order still in warehouse but I’m ok with that as it was only last Thursday and it’s now just Monday. Imagine it will ship later this week. Time right now has really slowed down so the perception everything is taking a lot longer seems exaggerated. -

The money shot. Outstanding work! I can only admire. Just makes me sad LEGO didn’t choose to scale up either of the big two mechs. -

I’d love another Egyptian set to sit alongside the PQ pyramid which still retains iconic display and play status within our house.

Voted for Adventurers in resigned acceptance it hasn't a hope in hell sadly. AFOLs will vote out of misplaced nostalgia, rather than what classic retired theme would actually benefit the most from new parts and colours in an updated one-off set.

Pick a Brick is usually down at this time of year under normal circumstances so I don’t think that’s indicative of anything. I ordered Gardens yesterday morning and got the confirmation email within 15 mins. -
[LEGO Ideas] Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Lucarex replied to Itaria No Shintaku's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Welcome back. We all feel a raw nerve sometimes (especially during these strange times) and the Colosseum discussion was just one of those things. I wasn’t a fan of the set either Seems a lot of WW/CATCF submissions recently. Whilst I really like the design of the chocolate river, sorry to say I’m disappointed you went with the truly awful Burton/Depp remake rather than the original. That’s probably why Charlie and the OLs look completely wrong. Is this the scene after Augustus Gloop has been sucked up the tube? Missed a play feature there. Good luck though!- 68 replies

That doesn’t sound great. Did you not even get email confirmation of order? Have you checked order status logged into S@H?
