2 large expensive sets and 2 CMF lines. Run its course tbh.

Realised I don't hate it quite so much if you remove that eyesore Friends-line DINER signage. It's still a sore thumb though in modular terms. Not my cup of tea at all.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Lucarex replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Sorry but ugh. Just unappealing on so many levels. Did they employ a designer fresh from the Friends line? For example, compare that ridiculously awful pink DINER sign with the POOL hall neon of the DO. I thought AS was a disappointment but this goes further. None of the the subtle charm of previous modulars that we've been spoilt with over the years. On the plus side, saves shelf space and cash for 2019! -
Wonder if this means TLG are open to relaxing their policy on buildings of religious significance? I know technically the TM is a tomb but has origins of Hindu temple. So many other great buildings have lost out, and yet we have a rerelease of this? Seems strange.

Curious as to why there's been to no information or leaks about the City Antarctica theme (with new orca!) due to land next summer? SvL confirmed Tim a while back, but all I'm seeing for City 2018 is mining and mountain police.

You seriously think there's some sort of piece count quota per line per year?

Excited to read that first line, then.....*wet fish slap*...80 quid?! Figured this would be around £49.99 (hopeful) or £59.99 max. As you say, DB is much larger. God knows how much they'll stiff us for the Piranha set.

Like many here, it was a favourite theme - the Spooky Lighthouse in particular is such a fun set. AFAIK there's no expired licensing issues, and TLG continue to sign off on feature movies (most recent one being the zombie pirate beach thing whose title escapes me) so I don't get why no more sets? Theories....???

Think the clue is in the NASA logo unfortunately

Unlikely to see a City hospital given the new/current Friends Heartlake hospital set. No mention yet of Antarctica that is supposed to land next summer?

My 7yo has loved most of it, particularly the Fortrex and the villains, less so the vehicles. The TV show has also helped. But IMO, Lego missed a trick by teasing us with those concept forest and water monsters in the BoM and never going there. Some of those were fantastic.

I'm looking for someone with the SDCC BrickHeadz

Kudos for this project, much appreciated! Boba and frozen Han are probably the first BH I've really wanted, and as others have said, TLG deserve a kick in the bricknuts for their conduct in this line. -
Are the Shanghai and LV images online anywhere still? All seem to be taken down by now.

Anyone have an idea of when we'll typically see retailer catalogue prelims or box art for City summer 2018? Particularly keen to see Antarctica (with orca whale) that SvL confirmed.
-
I was told back in the summer (by an independent Lego retailer) that this last NK wave was 'exclusive' to Smyths.

Likewise I'd be really appreciative if you could PM me the prelims too. Even architects not proud to beg!
