Yeah in California a green plus sign means alt-pharmacy. -
Wow this is amazingly realistic. Your figures are always a splendor but this whole scene is incredible. Outstanding and unrivaled!

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
koalayummies replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Isn't flower shop and hotel already covered by Assembly Square and Cafe Corner respectively? Some other ideas: Art Gallery/Art Studio Apartment Block Tailor/Suit/Dress shop (ongoing wedding theme) Mechanic/Garage Public Works Italian Restaurant (is there a city anywhere that doesn't have one) Spanish Architecture (pipedream?) Courthouse (so much police, so few trials) Asian Cuisine -
Exquisite and very clean build. Perfect use of the roller coaster tracks and a beautiful build worthy of prominent display.

Excellent and very accurate recreation of this in Lego. Especially with the functional hatch openings and lift off turret. Great build.

Warping at what degree of heat?
koalayummies replied to danielwerner's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Also the thing above mentioning 104ºF is regarding washing Lego pieces, not storing/using/building. Sounds more like the on-call safety lawyer chiming in so that kids don't burn their hands cleaning their booger-crusted bricks. Also is it really 95ºF inside your residence? -
No but they are fairly new. New 'flower' like piece as opposed to the 'bracelet upper' piece.

That is amazing especially considering its 6-wide/City-scaled. Very impressive work and very inspiring.

LEGO Minifigures - Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts Series 1 poll
koalayummies replied to WhiteFang's topic in LEGO Licensed
That sitting picture is excellent thanks for sharing. So a figure with medium legs will sit a little bit forward on a plate compared to a normal legged figure? And most excellent, my favorite figure has 0 votes so hopefully be able to actually find her. Voting now. -
So realistic it reminds of that funny eurobricks model builders joke: "hey, this forum is meant for the posting of Lego-built crea... oh wait". Love the couch, brick and mortar work and hardwood floors. Hyper realistic build, amazing!

Agreed. Mr. Gold was a snafu and a perpetual scar on Lego in the eyes of many fans. They went down a similar path recently with S18 classic police officer and are repeating that with whatever one figure per box character in the upcoming Harry Potter CMF. On the other hand they brought back the Taj Mahal, a heavily third party scalped set. Really those are the only ones who benefit from rarity, third party resellers. It seems for most every other fan of Lego; the builders, fans and collectors; intentional scarcity is rather off-putting.

Lego CMF Series 18 disappearance too early...
koalayummies replied to 22kane's topic in Special LEGO Themes
They've been nowhere to be found where I live for a while either. The two Lego stores say they haven't had them for weeks either. Despite some afol not liking the costumed minifigures they seem pretty popular among the target demographic. By comparison TRU was still putting out brand new boxes of Series 16 almost a year after their release, got to build a small Rogue platoon . -
Mind blown! You have a vision and skill for building these large figures that is so inspiring. Amazing building there.

This is absolute representational Lego perfection. Sets the bar really really high.

Brilliant, some of those are so tight and can be such a hassle. And that just gave me an idea which I shall try out the next time its needed: automotive plastic trim tool. Its remarkably close in size and shape to several existing tool designs, will easily fit between the gaps with minimal scratching and the shallow angle allows for careful prying.

Yes, the US should switch to metric and its Dark Stone Grey. -
Bricklink<->LEGO Color Translation Table
koalayummies replied to Vee's topic in General LEGO Discussion
That's grossly misleading, that total is from the entire bricklink 'catalog' which includes: sets (14,615), minifigures (10,360), books (4,088), gear (10,917) and Lego catalogs (3,883) which don't require color naming specific parts. ~50,000 parts and no they shouldn't take long the parts should be in bins; these sellers aren't individually pre-bagging and labeling every piece into single serving sizes. In any case not changing to the official names because it'd be inconvenient for third party sellers who were using unofficial names is not a strong argument. A truly savvy seller should already be dual-labeling having noticed the regularly reoccurring Lego official color name discussions. A number of bricklink sellers clearly use B&P (or abuse depending on viewpoint) so they're familiar with many of the official names already. Agreed. Many in the Lego community understand why TLG doesn't like English speakers adding an 's' onto their company and product name in plurality yet even those who understand that still attempt to force the English language domination of dictating what works best in their subjective opinion. If the names that the Danish company Lego has chosen work best for Lego and translating then that is what is best, not what some English-speaking average consumer would prefer simply because they've been using a third party's arbitrary naming convention and are thus resistant to change. -
Bricklink<->LEGO Color Translation Table
koalayummies replied to Vee's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yes, I read the thread and the post above from 2014 that stated that was the reason why bricklink has its own hodgepodge of inaccurate color names. However it has been 5 years and Lego openly provides the official color names now; bricklink should get with the times. Bricklink's descriptions are not better; they're vague, often lead to confusion and most importantly not official. Hence this thread, the conversion/translator and countless other threads on Lego color names. They should be using official terminology for consistency and then things like this conversion application won't be needed. After all it was you who bumped this thread asking for an updated version. If bricklink just used the official Lego names then we wouldn't even be here. -
No bushy mustaches! This is going to be amazing. All the work you've done recreating the movie builds is astounding. Now unikitty land gets the Xon67 treatment.

Bricklink should just get their nonsense together already and finally use the official Lego color names. Bluish? What are they, ages 4-7? -
