  1. Fantastic build and scene recreation, its simply perfection! This is several awesome MOCs inside an MOC. The excavator and train cars are especially realistic and the whole thing is fun to look at. Most excellent work.
  2. My goodness that is a beautiful building Elysium! Can't imagine what the 3,590 total parts build looked like but this is absolutely gorgeous while still adhering to the Ideas piece total restrictions. Fantastic work.
  3. Awesome tutorial for a very realistic thatch roof build. Thanks for sharing!
  4. And if one of them is Benedict they can reuse the Palaptine head print.
  5. I love the way this thread has been and however it continues going forward will likely be just as fine. Real buildings as inspiration sure why not. I've tried to keep up and occasionally post builds that were not yet posted here but all of the participants sharing creations, you know who you are, have done such a fantastic job that its really hard to keep up and that's a good thing. This thread and the others like it in the other sections have been a great source of wonder and an excellent way of seeing many builds in short order as I'm sure others like me don't always have the time to go to every Lego internet resource (as much as we'd like to) in order to see everything so its really awesome having such quality creations in centralized go-to threads like these. Even if I didn't always have the time to comment all the great shares here have been appreciated and based on the view count this thread has been appreciated by many every day.

  7. Gorgeous build and scenery. Love the parts usage and wonderful construction of the face. Excellent work!
  8. Surely you mean latest creation and not last creation right? What would we do without you. Every one of your builds is so impressive and this is no exception, always a splendor to look at Jalemac34! Beautiful work.
  9. Awesome scene @Full Plate! Perfection in that build. Also like his beard hanging on the wall
  10. Town Hall busted that theory. Edit: doh, CopperTablet stated the same.
  11. Very impressive! It looks like a difficult building to locate a friend's condo for the first time; just go out and meet them.
  12. Indeed, in an ideal world the box would be worth only recycling. Thanks JJ Tong! I had intended to take it apart after photographing as there's a bunch of good parts in there but I've since spent another hour further refining it and now can't bring myself to disassemble it yet.
  13. The holidays generate a lot of post-consumer waste, so with that in mind and in keeping with the Town Forum and Winter Village themes here is: Solid Waste Disposal Santa 1_D4C3751 by Koala Yummies, on Flickr
  14. Town Hall is predominantly Dark Orange.
  15. What the heck is this?! Mine says "EmpressChillyScarecrow". I'm a dude!
  16. Me either. Really surprised how little controversy there is over that building especially built at the time that it was and that it has become so famous and representative of hollyweird. Pastiche is a polite way of putting it, cultural appropriation alongside legal segregation of the very people who's culture inspired that architecture is closer to reality. Without question. So yeah its already been done for an official modular.
  17. Thank you all, I'm glad you like it. Fun detail oversight: I accidentally put a female torso on the bearded figure.
  18. Welcome to the dilapidated caboose. Just outside a small desert town rail yard lies this once glorious abandoned caboose. Years of baking in the sun and blowing sandstorms has caused the paint to fall off but it's still in-tact and still serving travelers, now as a rest-stop for long distance freighthoppers. The traveling freighthopping minifigures: The dilapidated caboose:
  19. Woah, could I get the green lightning? Thanks Peppermint_M!
  20. This was really fun. It was really enjoyable to be a part of the challenge of building something under guidelines and deadline. Thank you very much to @Peppermint_M and @Darkdragon for organizing this and supplying the fun and all the fellow builders of these really creative entries; there are builds here I never would have imagined. EB is the absolute best. Boo!
  21. Meet Tarantula Hawk. She kidnaps evildoers and paralyzes and impregnates them as her young grow and feed off of them until they're ready to hatch.
  22. Wash hands before Lego. Assembled sets: dust blower bulb (commonly sold at photographic retailers) and microfiber towel if needed. Loose bricks: in drawers, bins and boxes, no dust.
  23. All of the described here has been assigning leg height based solely on age and disregarding naturally occurring differences in height. I think adult characters can use medium legs (once they make them in enough colors) as there certainly are short cops and construction workers. Hopefully!
