Absolutely incredible, this is what MOCing is all about. No idea how you plan a layout like this but it is perfection with the buildings at different angles, placement and height genuinely appearing like a village that has grown organically over time. Its beautiful throughout. Most fantastic work and welcome to EB. Can't wait to see what else you create!

Regular builders were certainly left disappointed. TLG not enforcing their own rules regarding promotions will result in regular average builders being pretty disappointing and understandably viewing it as kind of a disaster. When the average builders see dozens of people somehow getting their hands on 10 or more of what it listed in the fine print as one-per-customer, when that average builder can't even get one, then those same people turning around and hocking them for $30 or more each... There were a number of EB members feeling disgusted by this. -
Thats a bummer I bet those added some good detail but it still looks great as shown here. The Octan color scheme will never get old. Fantastic build on the truck and scenery, really captures the feel of off-road motorsport.

Always enjoy seeing brick-built figures like this and the different techniques employed. You've got a fantastic style and design here with minimal gaps and flowing shape. Excellent work on that old leather flying helmet/goggles and the choice of piece for the thumbs.

Just checked and surprisingly we don't have this in the Official Lego Sets made in LDD thread.

Yes this is of no worry for all of the super tough macho men here who dunk their breakfast cigars in 151 proof rum before grooming where the sun don't shine with a dirty clip point knife but considering the fact that Lego is a toy company (as much as it pains some AFOL to be reminded that they are on a website discussing the children's toys that they play with) it's probably a noteworthy concern. All the rough guys however can get back to flossing with 12.7x99mm cartridges.

Yeah I was thinking that maybe it was a mistaken non-lego, possibly the custom-drawn printed nanofigure on page 4, the green one with orange hair? Especially since they said green figure. It might just be that all the other prints you've done look nice and sharp while that one stands out in a cursory review glance? -
[MOC] The Siege of Skull Island by Imperial Guards

Just the patience in setting this up is commendable. And its a very cool unconventional pirate themed display. Two thumbs up and a drunk pirate Also a parrot. -

I didn't know that brickset had the catalogs like that so thanks for sharing. And that instruction manual is so awesome. The parrot press photographer on a motorcycle is most excellent. A very informative and treasure trove of a post right here. -

True that it doesn't allow for the exact piece they're using but it does allow for others. I doubt they're going in and checking tolerance on submissions though right? -
While this piece came in a set that's rated 18+ (and the adult affected by it has treated the wound and is not seriously injured, glad to hear) the same exact piece is also currently appearing in sets rated at ages 4+ (like Ariel's Celebration Boat) and if it can happen to that piece it can presumably happen to others. Surely TLG wants to get to the bottom of this. Doubt that someone who's 5-year old daughter was lacerated by their new Lego Little Mermaid toy would find this to be amusing or consider this piece a collectors item.

I looked through it and I don't know what they're talking about, I don't see any non-Lego elements. Even before when you used the older style clickit/bracelet/flower it was fine. -

Freddy fox! LOL! Dang, I never considered it a preschool theme (I never actually had any Fabuland ) but it does look like very simple construction low-part-count and Duplo-simplicity. So Fabuland reboot could have the funny characters but with detailed figure printing and super complex all-SNOT-hybrid-Technic-frame builds. With a black box, large part count and low-key lighting. 18+! -

Just going to throw this out there, if they ever do an anniversary poll again they should slip in Fabuland. I mean they had Hannah hippopotamus, Walter walrus, Elton elephant and Bonnie bunny. Those are the best Lego character names ever and nothing else has been as hilarious since. No other theme can compete with that. It has been unrivaled for more than 30 years. All y'all talking about this theme or that theme that hasn't been around for like half a decade or whatever some really short time while Fabuland is over in the corner in a moldy box covered in dusty spider webs and dead flies all unloved. -
What a great MOC. Through and through a great design but the roof and that rocket ship and space backdrop is really excellent. And the arcade builds are great especially that riding motorcycle game, brilliant! Fantastic design and welcome to EB ifyoubuildit!

You captured the style and feel perfectly Snaillad! The dark orange, brick yellow and blue go together so well here and that floor is amazing. Iconic Moroccan, splendid design and construction!

Fantastic MOC Bricked1980, as always. Your builds are always very cozy with a remarkable and creative use of parts abound. Excellent use of space and techniques. Also don't stay away so long, we notice when we're missing the well known builders! Awesome design and keep building!

Lego Ideas top 5 places to promote?
koalayummies replied to ifyoubuildit's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Yeah, welcome aboard! I was just elaborating on what others were getting at and not implying anything here. Its a lot of fun to get out there and see what other builders from around the world are doing. And by showing support, encouraging others and helping out when you can it builds up this thing we all enjoy. Like you'll definitely see @MAB and @JintaiZ all over the place, they are everywhere all over showing support, participating, helping out and answering questions and just participating in discussion. Its fantastic. -
Lego Ideas top 5 places to promote?
koalayummies replied to ifyoubuildit's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Why does one join EB; that's what @MAB is getting at. The intentions of members are often transparent as everyone's post history is public. If a member demonstrates that they only joined to promote their own things, they never comment in other people's builds, they're never seen offering support in anyone else's MOC threads, they almost never participate in discussions and scarcely venture outside the confines of the threads that they created that's seen as selfish. They're just here for self promotion and not to participate in the Lego/EB community. They want responses, comments, praise and support for themselves but do not offer the same to anyone else. They want everyone else to support their Ideas submission or MOCs but they don't do the same for others. Other members ask questions but they're not here to help anyone. That's simply not leg godt. -
Now that is a clever adaptation of the bonsai set. Really ingenious, great work!
