LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 21. Rumors and discussion
koalayummies replied to Robert8's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Beekeeper singing: "Come on bees and pollinate it, lets go bees and pollinate ****!" His songs are vulgar but I assure you his beekeeping is not. -
Remarkable work, truly spectacular. It's really great to see all the different structures and components together and the attention to detail regarding the scale is really impressive. Most excellent recreation and modeling.

LEGO Ideas Discussion

Yeah that's a shame. -
I don't think we can conclusively confirm a majority opinion as internet comments are anecdotal. Its the phenomenon that those with a negative view or experience about something tend to vociferate more than those with a positive view or experience. That said this is a cool alternative that you've created! They absolutely have a value in concept. We have a great many options; from the old city road plates which are still out there, to fully brick-built, to a sort of hybrid like your design. Everyone should be able to find a solution that works best for them. Nice work.

Yep. I specifically used the older style clip as shown in the linked PDF. Design 2555 and not 15712. -

Still there's even more now. Only looking at North American sellers for which the promotional rules apply just since last night there's now five more from USA and Canada with 10-15 each. Lego fans who placed orders and qualified for just one that might not get it while the conspicuously gluttonous are selling them for $30+. There's Eurobricks members who have expressed their disappointment about this in three separate threads. Arguably no one needs this, its a plastic toy car, but getting that many and hocking them for that much... -
Thank you very much Grahmicus! I would happily submit to Ideas but a lot of us aren't convinced they'd approve a modular building due to the existing theme so that's why I haven't. But I appriciate that you like it so much, thank you. Thanks Lord Blackadder! Selling instructions isn't really my thing and I don't build much digitally anymore so there's no quick way to produce them, BUT if you would like to reverse-engineer it from the pictures and build it for your own collection by all means. I'd be happy to help if you get caught up anywhere with additional photos. Its a pretty simple build with no really complicated SNOT techniques so I think it'd be pretty straightforward. Thanks again!

Excellent snooping, that's unbelievable. Yeah I'm seeing more than 25 sellers with 4 or more for sale, average price $37. That's pretty infuriating when there's a lot of members right here on EB who qualified and are worried they'll miss out and already sold out in some areas. -

I started this off laughing manically... But now I'm concerned. -
LEGO IDEAS - The Medieval Blacksmith
koalayummies replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
1. Yes 2. Because of the castle-theme; mostly in the hope of getting castle-specific or castle-oriented parts to revive the theme. Barracuda Bay was great for that regarding pirates parts and and supported the Medieval Blacksmith with similar desire. Its not as loaded as hoped for but still think it is a good set. -
Pop-Up Book, Ship in a Bottle and Dinosaur Fossils: creativity/originality, excellent display pieces. Grand Piano: building skill, technical ingenuity, elegance. Pirates of Barracuda Bay: revival of pirate theme and parts, two scenes.

The black Technic friction pins are listed in the inventories on both Brickset and Bricklink. 2 in set and 1 extra. They're also shown in the back of the instruction manual inventory. -

Saw them at target, four boxes out. Guess people are airplane girl crazy cause they seemed to be all gone. Didn't want any of the Aztec guy so you army builders can have at it. I like castaway guy. -

Apparently some consumers have already gotten several for themselves by making numerous same-day in-store purchases while many others are worried they won't even get one due to back ordered items even though their order qualifies. Contact Lego and ask why they don't actually enforce their one per customer policy stated as is in the fine print. -

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Damn that's gluttonous. I mean seeing a bunch of other Lego fans here that just want one and might to miss out because their items are backordered while other people run back for seconds and thirds. Reminds me of the time a EB member witnessed intemperance like this in a Lego store who made a child cry on his birthday. -
Hey, don't get too down yet. If they do run out a bunch of the key parts specific to that set have been added to the incoming parts on Bricks and Pieces. You can't order them yet but they should be available in the near future. These are the Bright Bluish Green (teal/"dark turquoise") parts appearing in just this set (so far) and key to completing the car: 35789 MUDGUARD 2X4X2, NO. 1 11458 PLATE 1X2 W. HOR. HOLE Ø 4.8 3176 COUPLING PLATE 2X2 87544 WALL ELEMENT 1X2X3 45677 PLATE 4X4X2/3

Lego Licensed Parts available from Bricks & Pieces

It's possible the shipping carriers over there are as backed up as they are currently are in US? Or they're prioritizing the dispatching of missing pieces orders over these basically luxury orders which would be understandable. -
LEGO IDEAS - The Medieval Blacksmith

You certainly know what's up! That's my feeling as well; a contract brings out the equipment and effort but for personal stuff a backdrop, second roll of white paper as a giant bounce card and single strobe flash will work just fine. Maybe a minute or so in Adobe Camera Raw batch adjustment cause we just want to post it already! I didn't know that! I never thought to test the colors in LDD so that's very ruminative. That value is basically spot on then cause sampling just a pixel or two over in an image can vary a RGB value by a couple points even on a seemingly solid color surface. So the LDD program is essentially color calibrated to Lego's product image, rending software and physical production piece color standards. Across the board color calibration, that's really awesome. Yeah I shouldn't be surprised given their quality control and care for their product but it's still a fascinating level of consistency. Gotta love it! -
Help with identifying parts/sets!
koalayummies replied to WhiteFang's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Design 4289. In white is in 23 sets from 1993-2021 or 40 sets from 1982 to 2020 -
The official images show both paddle and lifejacket so it appears you're missing a piece, which does happen. Unfortunately its reported that if you contact customer service about it they send you a random blind bag from the series as replacement.
